When teenage entrepreneur Will is condemned to spend the summer with his eccentric uncle, he tries to make the best of it by hiring himself out as his uncle's assistant. Acting as guinea pig in Uncle Vic's basement experiments seems harmless at first. But of course, these things never are.

Will doesn't know much about science, but he knows that teleportation is supposed to be science fiction...isn't it? Ditto for parallel universes and force fields.

If you're looking for a short read with a classic sci-fi feel, look no further.

Emma G Rose is a Maine author of contemporary fantasy and mythological weirdness. She intended to become an intrepid girl reporter like Nellie Bly. Then she spent Christmas Eve on a riverbank waiting for rescue divers to pull a body from the water. That's when she stopped waiting and wandered off to explore the world instead. She believes that stories can blaze a trail through the darkness and lead us back to the light. What you do when you get there is up to you.
