Fleeing the hangman’s noose, she must reach her rebel cousin in Scotland in time to warn him of an ambush by the Crown. She can’t allow herself to have feelings for any man, but maybe just one night of sinful pleasure…
A pirate caught in the middle...
Coire Fletcher doesn’t trust women. None of them, but especially the dark haired, moss-eyed lass whose pretty lies got her onto his ship and her sharp wit and undying spirit is getting under his skin. He knows she’s lying—after all, she is a female—but by damned his growing attraction to her is as troubling as a Caribbean hurricane. He won’t be fooled again by a woman, not even one he can’t stop thinking about. He’ll deliver his smuggled goods and Treva at the next port, then sail away. Or so he thinks…
Chased by the British Navy and vengeful enemy pirates alike, Coire and Treva must leave past injustices behind and learn to trust each other…or neither may see another sunrise.

3.5 rounding up to 4 for this fun pirate romance. I liked the characters, and quite a lot happens in the short book. I prefer to read without all of the dialect, and found it distracting. A little goes a long way. :)
❤️❤️❤️❤️ 💋💋 What a great adventure , I love The Pirates Of Britannia series , no surprises , just raw Untamed seas and rugged pirates . This is a great new story in the series and a first for me by this author, I’m going to look for others now though. She has written this with passion that shows me she surely has a love of the sea , her descriptions are wonderful . The characters are well defined and I love the way the two mains Coire and Treva mesh together , they were made to be one these two . A very enjoyable experience reading this book ,and I was sorry when it was over . I received an advance copy of this book and chose to submit a review
The Righteous Side of Wicked (The Pirates of Britannia) By Jennifer Bray-Weber
Treva MacDougall is running for her life and those of her clansmen. She's fleeing from the hangman's noose and she must reach her rebel cousin in Scotland to warn him of an ambush by the crown. Managing to get on board a pirate ship that runs contraband was not hard at all, but ignoring the intense feelings that she has for the ships captian is something altogether different. Sadly she can't allow herself to have feelings for any man however she might be alright with just one single night of pleasure.
Coire Fletcher has no trust for any woman especially the dark haired girl who's bag of lies got her into his ship and now her sharp wit and upbeat spirit is really getting under his skin. He knows she lying and how does he know? Well because she's a female ofcourse, but his growing attraction to her is quite troubling. He will not be fooled again by any woman, but he can't stop thinking of her. So he will deliver his smuggled goods and Treva at the next port, then sail away. Or so he thinks.
Now he's being chased by the British Navy and vengeful enemy pirates alike so Coire and Treva must leave past injustices behind and learn to trust in one another because if they don't neither may see another sunrise.
Jennifer Bray-Webber is a brilliant writer. This is my first time reading anything from this author so I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was all good. She takes you on a wonderful adventure that will steal your breath. The chemistry that Coire and Treva have is incredible. So go for a sail on the high seas, open your mind, and you will enjoy it just as much as I did. You can be sure I will not hesitate to read any future books from this author.
In the Righteous Side of Wicked Jennifer Bray Weber continues the escapades of her Romancing the Pirate series and joins it with The Pirates of Britannia World for an exciting cross over work. This author offers a gruff and edgy hero in Coire Fletcher whose personal code of survival is to never to trust a woman. Coire owned his not so stellar life of piracy and made no attempt to hide who or what he was. Treva MacDougall was on the run from the Crown for her rebel activities and personified wily and gutsy as she took hold of her destiny facing the bad and searching for the good in life. This savvy couple was formidable individually but together they were unstoppable!
Ms. Bray-Weber navigated through this story at a fast clip with no shortage of action and harrowing predicaments, making this book virtually impossible to put down to its marvelous finale. Presenting a well formulated display of wits and maneuvers this author created a couple that gave no quarter in their attempts to not capitulate to love. It was evident the amount of skill this writer has as she adeptly captured the desperation that drove her characters to make the choices they did.
A great addition to the Pirates of Britannia World brethren, Jennifer Bray Weber's The Righteous Side Of Wicked is a must read for anyone who loves a grand adventure with a healthy dose of romance and unrepentant lawlessness thrown in!
*I was given an advanced copy. All opinions expressed are my own.* *While part of a series this book can be read as a stand alone.*
I have so enjoyed every story in the Pirates of Britannia world, and this is no exception! Take a feisty, running from the crown heroine and combine it with a edgy, rugged pirate and you have an adventure that will hold you captive until the end!! Treva has escaped death for her rebel activities and is desperate to board a ship and get to her cousin. She happened to pick Coire Fletcher's pirate ship and enacts a gutsy maneuver to get aboard!! Coire is leery of Treva and knows there is more to her story and besides, he trusts no woman. But as the two are thrown together and chased by the British Navy and sundry other people, the attraction cannot help but spark. This author is new to me, but the way she wrote this story, with amazing characters, descriptive surroundings and such an action packed page turner, I will be reading more!! If you like pirates, determined heroines, humor and an attraction that cannot be denied, this story is for you!! Loved it.
Treva MacDougall is running for her life. She has been a spy for the Scottish rebels for years, but was caught and sentenced to hang. Although she managed to escape her freedom might not last long. Captain Coire Fletcher is a pirate. He has a hold full of arms and ammunition to sell to the rebels. The last thing he needs is a female conning her way onto his ship. A really entertaining, action packed, pirate adventure. Our characters are both suspicious of each other, with good reason. Lots of danger from others who call the seas home. Very exciting.
Jennifer Bray-Weber weaves together a poetic, sensual adventure. Her words are magical in every sentence, and the historical world building immediately transports the reader into...
Treva MacDougall is running for her life, escaping prison before she could be hanged. Wow what a little spitfire she is! She rows herself out to a ship bound for Scotland and encounters Captain Coire Fletcher who doesn’t trust women. Coire has a hold full of arms and ammunition to sell to the rebels in Scotland. I Loved these two together, their like fire and water, two very stubborn people with fireworks galore. She finagling her way aboard a pirate ship by shooting a hole in her little boat, and what’s a Captain to do let the irresistible little wench drown. Then the fun starts and adventure begins. Treva heard he was running contraband into Scotland to the rebels, possibly the same ones she’s trying to reach to stop them to avoid bloodshed. Coire has known one conniving woman in his life and he has no need for another one, especially the beautiful spitfire Treva. A great adventure story with two great characters you’ll love and hope they find their HEA before it’s too late! This is my honest opinions after I voluntarily read a copy of this book that was provided to me with no requirements for a review.
The spy on the run had just managed to escape the hangman’s noose. Now to find a way to Scotland and warn her rebel clan that the British Crown is planning to ambush them. Treva Mac Dougall is that spy and is standing in a small boat hoping the pirate Capitan will allow her on board his ship. Coire Fletcher does not trust woman and this one is no different. But when a shot goes off; she has blown a hole in the bottom of her boat, and he has no choice. So now the adventure begins. Jennifer Bray-Weber has provided us with a true pirate tale, including chases by the British Navy and enemy pirates hunting for smuggled good and the escaped spy. Will this trial at sea, allow Coire and Treva to leave their feelings aside and provide circumstances that will let them learn to trust one another?
Treva MacDougall has escaped from prison where she was to be hanged as a spy she rows out to Coire Fletchers ship. When he doesn’t bring her aboard she shoots a hole in her dingy and leaves him with no choice but to bring her aboard. Coire doesn’t trust anyone especially women locks her in his cabin until he can figure out what she is up to. Treva is trying to reach her cousin and pass off the information she has to prevent a massacre. This was the first book that I read by Jennifer Bray-Weber and I very much enjoyed reading this book. Treva is wiley and feisty and I loved her! I loved the attraction and interaction of these two. There was some mystery and intrigue and a fun story to read. Definitely recommend this one!
Treva us a beautiful young woman who has escaped from a British prison . She must get information to her people to prevent their demise at the hands of the English army. Treva is a wily spy, descending from a line of pirates, and has found her way, rather creatively, onto the Kelpie, a privateer ship captained by Coire Fletcher, who has secrets of his own. The two, and a colorful crew and cast of characters, become involved in a series of events that have Treva in danger, but will Coire save her? He certainly lusts for her, but is there more to it? This is a really fun story with a fast moving plot filled with heat and intrigue. It is a terrific addition to the Pirates of Brittannia series.
One pirate; one dedicated, determined female; and a mission. But, just whose mission will be accomplished? This very engaging tale was a very entertaining read in this series about pirates and their loves. Treva has a mission: to escape aboard a ship captained by Coire. She manages to get him to allow her to board (one of the funnier parts of the story) and then proceeds to cause havoc for him. Coire is not amused, doesn’t want to like her, but admits to admiring her tenacity-among other assets. As they make their way across the water, fight a few English sailors and a few other surprise attacks, they realize what is meant for them.
Coirre Fletcher was a pirate with secrets from his past that made him a hard bitter man. Ostracized from his homeland Scotland, he smuggled guns and ammunition to anyone who paid him. Treva is also ostracized from Scotland but she’s also a spy. These two meet under dire circumstances when she talks him into taking her onto his ship. The way she accomplished this was so funny. This is the first time I’ve read this author but it definitely won’t be the last
Righteous SIde of the Wicked: Pirates of Britiannia
A totally different style novel than I am use to reading. It had Scottish, English, Pirates and spies aplenty. The storyline was different it took a little time to get into the jest of who was who, which side the characters were fighting for or against, and how the hero and heroine were able to overcome all the obstacles to a happy ending. It was an interesting novel. Would recommend reading.
If you like Pirates, I'm sure you'll enjoy this story of Corie and Treva. A flourishing romance on the high seas. She is bound and determined to board this pirate's ship. There are funny moments in this story as well. She is a spy fleeing for her life. These two have some eyebrowing moments with one another. For all you pirate lovers out there, pick up this story for your TBR lists
This was a ridiculously delicious tale artfully spun, titilating sexual tension and heart stopping action. Characters you hate to lose at the end of story. I look forward consuming her other reads that you can't lay down til the end. Such excellent word choices and concise descriptions. Not a wasted word.
Coire Fletcher has been betrayed by his sister and cast out of his clan he has had to begin a new life, now he is the captain of the Kelpie. Treva has escaped prison she needs to get home to save her kin while hopefully saving herself from the dangers surrounding her.
A fantastic adventure with Scottish clans and Caribbean pirates! I love the strong willful heroine and the dangerous pirate\privateer! If you like highlander and pirates with honor you'll really enjoy this book.
