I read this to help me and my son practice our Spanish, but not going to attempt to write my review in Spanish. The stories are retold in a kid-friendly, easy-to-read style and the illustrations provided many contextual clues that helped us figure out unfamiliar words. So as an aide to learning Spanish, it was helpful and I recommend to anyone using for that purpose.

Jacob has been reading this bible to Daddy before bedtime for a couple of weeks now. 4/8/15

This has been an amazing bible for my family. It has helped my son learn to read and given him a desire for reading. It has been such a precious bonding time for my son and husband to do together. To see the joy on Jacob's face when he came to tell me he had just finished reading this bible was priceless!!!! There is no better way to learn to read than reading God's word. We are so thankful to God for his word and the ability to read it freely in the U.S. We are so proud of Jacob for glorifying the Lord in this way, for asking and wanting to read this bible instead of learning to read from our reading book "Learn to read in 100 easy lessons" (which wasn't working for him at the time but now that he has finished the bible he is willing to go back and read this book), and for completing 491 pages with no fuss but rather excitement! Thank you Lord for giving me a heart to let go of my check the box attitude towards home education and for giving Jacob this awesome experience. This has also encouraged Ellie to read her bible to daddy at night too!..6/29/15

A Precious Children and Family Bible covering stories from Genesis through Revelation. Fifty-two Old Testament stories and Fifty-four New Testament stories, give your family an opportunity to study God's Word all year. In addition, there is a parent section to help offer ideas for discussion and further guidance in your children's walk with Christ Jesus.

Great in between resource with great tidbits of further information. I wish that on the pages of the stories with a correlating parent page, there was a symbol on the Bible story letting you know there was a correlating parent page.

Great for teaching lessons in a school setting, for toddlers or young school-aged children.

Perfect bible for kids from grades 1 to 3, even up to 5th grade if you have a reluctant reader on your hands. I love the excellent illustrations on each page. In fact, each page is equally divided with illustration and text, which is a nice, big size. The reading is heavily paraphrased but done skillfully. My little guy is a pretty good reader, but books more appropriate for his level all seemed to have tiny font sizes and barely different from adult bibles. This bible is geared toward this age of the average elementary school kiddo. They won't get burned out by it, they will appreciate the cool and not super cutesy illustrations and just enjoy the reading. It's a hardback kinda like a library cover so is tough enough for even rowdy boys. Can you tell I like it? I saw it on Amazon and thought nothing of it so am glad to have found it at Half Price Books. While there, I also saw a couple if kiddie bibles that looked decent on Amazon but were really not good in real life.

I have been searching high and low for a good, easy to read children's Bible. I finally found it with this book. It has most of the Bible stories that you really really need (the "My First Bible" that I was given left out Adam and Eve sinning and Jesus dying on the cross). The art is very colorful but true to the time period (someone on Amazon pointed out that women back then did not wear pearl earrings). When my daughter gets bigger, she will be able to read it to me. I was a little skeptical when I saw that this was by Scholastic, but they proved me wrong.

We love it. We read a story (or four) every night. Very easy and simple for children, and enjoyable for adults. It's like a bible cartoon on book. My daughter loves it.

I think that this is a good book for younger kids. it's very easy for them to follow along with and it allows you to open up a dialog with them as well. I would recommend this book to others.

I actually really appreciate this version of the Bible. It’s easy for kids to understand and lacks a theological agenda. I just wish the pictures featured people of color.
