But it’s like fate is even trying to help him. She is everywhere these days and he’s not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.
He’s a man who always has a plan. His newest one? To get Kayla to be his. Pretty simple right? Sure, if you don’t factor in that she doesn’t want a man. And that she has four kids. About the author

Nikki Mays is a pen name that was created from her maiden name. She is a wife and mother, who lives in a small town in New Jersey. She has been with her husband for well over a decade and is surprised that he's still alive. She has 3 small boys that she loving refers to as her hellions. Seriously, they only look sweet and innocent. She began writing as a creative outlet after becoming a stay at home mom. She decided that she needed something exclusively for herself, not just being mommy. She has two crazy boxers that legitimately think that they're humans but graciously share "their" couch with the rest of the family. Besides writing and spending time with her little hellions, she enjoys cooking and baking. She has recently taken up gardening and made her loving husband plant her a mini fruit tree orchard, that unfortunately deer get to eat more of than she does. Life living in the woods can be a pain at times! Nikki loves to be stalked by her readers and encourages all interaction.

Another quick enjoyable read. Cuffed by You is the 3rd installment in the SAPD Swat series by Nikki Mays.

Marc is hilarious❤️. I really love his and Mellie's relationship. The teasing and pranks they do to each other add Shell into the mix was really funny. Marc is my favorite out of all the men in the series. He is really perfect for Kayla.
Kayla on the other hand really needs a break. After what she's been through with her ex-husband who wouldn't go crazy or do something crazy like drown him 😂.

If you just need a good laugh and something light to read this one's for you. 👍🏻

Meh!

The author was trying to hard to be witty with the dialogue and interaction between the characters that some of the lines just made me cringe. The whole Mother Goose thing that went from MG to MSG because she was salty...yeah, didn't find it funny.

I struggled with the story. I skimmed most of it because there’s too much dialogue between side characters I am not keen to read. There’s also less encounter between the main characters, I am so hoping for swoony moments and witty banter just like Stuck With You. But yeah, quite a disappoinment.

OMG I loved this book! This was hilarious, We meet Kay and her crazy but fabulous family. From her kids to her bestie to her ex-laws they were all awesome and such a great cast of characters. Then we have hottie police officer Marc who also happens to have some funny as hell co-workers who also happen to be his best friends. I seriously laughed reading this book and I honestly wished that we would have a sequel with them, maybe Sage's and JJ story.. The only thing that I could maybe complain about is that Kay should have been a little tougher with her disgusting cheating ex..

Audio Review:

Nikki Mays is a new author to me and was the narrator Amber Bray. This was a fun and entertaining book that grabbed my attention and kept me interested from the first chapter. I fell for all the characters except Kayla’s ex Craig, who was an absolute jerk (even his family supported Kayla) and the crazy antics that go on.

Kayla is a mother of 4 and to say that her life is chaotic is an understatement and the very last thing she needs in her life is a man. Marc is the cop that arrests her when she tries to drown Craig (who can blame her?). He cannot get Kayla out of his mind, particularly since he keeps running in to her.

Marc accepts Kayla for the crazy but lovable woman she is and I have to say that was heartwarming. I would have loved if Marc’s character had been narrated by a man but overall I think that Amber Bray did a fabulous job of narrating the characters in a variety of voices.

This may be my first book from this author and narrator but it will not be my last. #AudioBookObsessionReviewer.

When a small woman of 4 kids is caught trying to drown her ex husband Officer Marc thinks he has found his future as he handcuffs her. Kayla and Marc have an unconventional meeting but it starts the sparks. Any guy willing to date a girl with 4 little kids is a story worth reading.

You know you are reading an amazing story when you are telling scenes to your friends. "I know your crazy and I can handle it, I don't know your ex-mother in law crazy and frankly I'm scared of her." Marc's ego is hilarious, I love his relationship with his sisters. His police brotherhood of friends is so tight and yet manly.

Totally loved it.

This book had romance, steaminess and drama but what really made it was how the author had kept a light hearted feel throughout. I liked the characters (except for Craig because he was the nasty ex), I liked the banter between them all, I liked how they all came together to form a tight knit and slightly crazy group, I liked how the women were fierce and gave as good as they got.
Kay and Marc were made for each other. And the way that Marc treated Kay’s children as his own was lovely to read.
I found myself giggling at many of the interactions and read it at every spare moment.

I will definitely be reading more by this author.

Happily suprised by this wasn't sure initially about this but I quickly changed my mind - it's a pretty funny book, one I can see myself re-reading.

However there are two issues, first there are grammar issues that need correcting as they knock you out of the story. And I really like Kay (Kayla) but her personality doesn't seem to fit staying with her husband for years enduring his verbal abuse, ok fine you could say the cheating led to her snapping and kicking him to the curb, but still. The depiction of why she stayed for so long needed teasing out, I get how it could happen but it wasn't depicted well.

Kay and her family are wonderfully bonkers, I so enjoyed their interactions. Kay's 4 kids are also adorable. Kay's ex is a total ass/toad when it comes to the kids and Kay.

Marc overall rocks especially compared to Kay's ex, and his friends add additional humour to the story.

A great series keeps getting better. I've wondered since book 1 who Marc would end up with and while I didn't see this pairing coming it is perfect. Kayla makes an appearance in book 1 and yes you should absolutely read this series in order even though each book is technically a stand alone. You won't regret it and you will miss some spit your drink out funny scenes. Marc has surreptitiously kept tabs on her ever since their first meeting - stalking seems to be a running theme for the heroes in this series. After reading the first two books it makes total sense how seamlessly Marc adapts to her crazy of raising four kids 6 and under while not killing her ex husband. And Kayla's ankle biters - demons as she lovingly calls them - are as much sh*t starters as the adults. I would read a series about the next generation of this series, Kayla's brothers and Dee also deserve their own books. Kayla's ex is like the world's worst case of herpes, so much so his family disowns him and keep Kayla in the divorce. The baggage from their marriage leaves Kayla a little gun shy about fully committing to Marc but when she sees the depth of his love for the kids, she's all in.

Again an editor is needed but man this book was funny.

The blurb and cover initially intrigued me. From the start, there was a ton of witty banter and funny stories. Marc's friends and Kayla's friend, Sage, and family were hysterical. The author did a great job of developing Marc's character from being anti-commitment to pursuing a mom with 4 kids. Her ex was a piece of work but Marc handled him. I loved seeing the kids grown up as teens at the end too. The interaction between Marc and his friends was so entertaining, I can't wait to read the other two books in this series. I hope Sage gets her own book.

This was my first time reading a Nikki Mays book and I loved it! This is #3 in her SAPD series and although I hadn't read books 1 or 2, I was intrigued by the description for Cuffed by You, so I went ahead and downloaded it.
I loved the SAPD guys and *Cannot Wait* to read JJs story. I really liked hearing about the other couples and it definitely made me excited to read #1 & 2.
The back and forth between characters was great and I'd recommend this series for any contemporary romance reader.

This was an enjoyable read. Kayla has a horrible ex husband and he makes her do some crazy things. However, Marc is okay with who she is. They start spending time together and he becomes close to her. He was great to her kids too. They needed that after the jerk of a father hey have. The best thing is that karma was served and everyone was happy in the end.

I really loved this story and will definitely go back and read the rest of the series. This was recommended in a Facebook group and in so happy that I read it. I have to say I really enjoyed Marc, an alpha that actually have a shit about the h!! The h (Kay ) had to deal with such an extremely crappy ex! Seriously what kind of ducky person he is if his mom takes Kay's side!
I loved everything the way Marc treated her kids, the way he treated her respected her. And the ending though!!!!! Soooo good!!

I think it’s probably a cute story, the premise sounded interesting. I just can’t go any further because of all the back and forth banter involving side characters. It’s a personal preference for me, I don’t like a lot of chit chat in books that really has nothing to do with moving the story along. It exhausts and bores me even though I get what the author is trying to do.

If you don’t mind that kind of superfluous dialog, go ahead and give it a try. There were some editing errors but nothing too bad that you don’t get the gist of what’s going on.

this book is filled with so much humour, love and happiness. i loved marc’s family and kayla’s ex in laws. i loved seeing the families bond, and all the fun friendships. i smiled and laughed so much while reading this book. the only negative part of the book was craig. he was a terrible father, husband and person overall. but it all worked out because in the end marc, an amazing husband and father, replaced him. i would love to have more stories on declan, jj and rocco 😍

But instead he comes home to find out what a who're she was.He's decided it's not worth risking getting hurt again.But there is something about that fiery little pixie that has him thinking about her a,lot.When they get off work one night she's at the station he stops an stands back listening wondering if she got in trouble again.When he hears her telling the guy standing next to her telling him he can't keep beating her ex his brother up.When he says that his brother is a douchebag an was talking about her and trying to get more money from the business he said he had it coming.When her ex comes storming over to her calling her a slut and saying she has no right to the business he built up.He starts to get loud Marc an Damon tell him to quite down or go back to jail.Marc teases her asking can't she stay out of trouble.She tells her ex brother in law to come on and that he's gonna pay her back.Then while Damon,Marc, JJ and another cop go out for drinks.Kayla and her best friend go out for drinks.She asks why this bar why not the Mexican place her friend tells her there are a lot of guys there that she needs to start living again. She tells her she doesn't do casual sex.That she's only been with two men in her life one longtime boyfriend the other her ex husband.When they go in she sees Marc an Damon an JJ,and they ask if she's alone she says she with her friend they ask her to join them she's trying to get out of it when her friend comes up an they say join,then her friends says yes.Her friend is setting almost on JJs lap an Kayla is close to Marc.Demon calls her mother goose she calls him loki.They ask Who is watching the kids she says her ex brother in law but that her friends daughters are there to babysit him.When JJ asks how old the twins are she says fourteen.And that their dad is great and a good man and a good father but they are just friends.That he keeps getting taken advantage of because he's famous that he's A MMA champion.Kayla is drinking the wine fast cause if she's not careful she will climb on Marcs lap.He leans over an whispers into her ear anytime she wants hel l handcuff her to his bed.She blushes bright red an Marc loves how easy she is to rile up. He wants this woman more than he's ever wanted a woman in his life but he doesn't want to hit it an quitit.He thinks he wants more with her. Will her ex keep causing problems? Will he become dangerous to Kayla and the kids? This story touches on physical and emotional abuse.It also shows that even a playboy can change when he finds the right woman.Kayla has some deep emotional scars from always being put down by her decaying she's ugly with an ugly body since she has had kids.That's she's boring in bed.That he would have never married her.And that the kids are all a mistake that he doesn't want them and never did.All Marc wants is to beat him senseless.I love the way this amazing author brings the characters to life before your eyes and you feel their emotions and their pain.I can hardly wait to see what's next by this multi talented author.

This is my first Nikki Mays book and I love I loved everything about it, It is well written and well told, the characters and storylines are awesome and entertaining. They are realistic and relatable too. Kudos to Kayla for trying to rid of her cheating husband, yeah maybe drowning was not the route to go but I still commend her for standing up for herself and not putting up with his crap. And a good thing did come out of it, she got to meet Marc, the hunky man in blue who arrested her. She has no intention of getting involved with anyone and he has no intention of a longterm relationship but sometimes things do not go as intended. After several run ins, they realize there is something between them, they just clicked. They took things slow but I loved how accepting Marc was of her family and how well he was with her kids. And those little humans were just adorable, what came out of their mouths was funny and cute. I enjoyed how Kayla and Marc’s story played out, there is plenty of drama, humor and a slow burn romance, there are some nice twists, a bit of angst and suspense caused by her loser husband too. This is the second book of the series but I enjoyed it as a standalone, I loved the camaraderie amongst Marc and his friends and family. They are one great group of people, the banter amongst them was hysterical at times. Kayla's friends and family were amazing too, I liked that her in-laws were supportive of her. Nikki Mays is a wonderful author, she and this series are definitely on my radar. I hope more of her books become available on Audible soon.

I listened to the Audible edition, Amber Bray is a terrific narrator and voice performer. She brings these characters to life, gives each their own unique sound and personality. She did an amazing job with the banter and landing the humor, she switched characters flawlessly and kept the story in a perfect flow. She projected the emotions of the character in her performance, as well as the drama of the story. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this great listen🎧

Kayla has had quite enough of being a spectacle. Sure, she humiliated her soon-to-be ex by trying to drown him at gunpoint. It was justified as he had humiliated her with his cheating. Besides, the gun wasn't even loaded. To make matters worse, she was arrested by the hottest cop on the planet, Marc. Now she just wants to live a quiet, single life with her four kids. Well, as quiet a life as you can have with four kids. Marc hated to arrest the irate lady who had every reason for trying to drown her husband. She was hot and sweet, he wished he was a relationship sort of guy. When he runs into Kayla again, suddenly a relationship is all he can think of. Now he is going to do whatever it takes to make Kayla his forever.

Okay, listen up, this is the funniest book I have ever read! I was laughing throughout the book and at several points was howling. One spot, I was laughing so hard tears were streaming down my face. You will know it when you get to it, all I'm going to say is: unicorns. Disclaimer: I don't read a lot of rom-com. Mostly because the humor comes across as forced and cringy. Kayla and Marc with their friends and family are just a naturally funny group, giving each other a hard time but its out of love and payback, but mostly love. Kayla and Marc are quirky, just like the rest of Mays characters, in the best possible and most realistic ways. They are an awesome couple together and I majorly loved every moment I spent inside these pages. I need to warn you not to be drinking beverages or trying to eat when reading Cuffed, bad stuff will happen. I also need to warn you that this is the third in a series. You don't have to read the first two but for maximum enjoyment, it is recommended. Nikki Mays has a phenomenal talent, I cannot wait to see what she brings us next. I will be re-reading this series at my soonest opportunity. Cuffed by You is hilarious and will put a smile on your face and gets 10 stars from this rabid fan!

Audiobook review:

This book was highly entertaining. I loved the banter between the main characters and all their friends. I loved the close, loving family dynamic. And of course I’m a sucker for a guy who can love a woman with a past and her kids even when they aren’t his by blood. Overall I really liked the writing of this new to me author. I would be really interested in trying other books by her.

Another aspect I really liked about this story was the narrator. She had a fun, entertaining kind of voice. There was lots of sass to suit the leading lady, and her male voice wasn’t bad either. The only things I wasn't as big a fan of or found distracting was that some words were pronounced distinctly different then what I’m used to. I can easily understand it when the main character is from a different country (one other than the US pronunciation I'm used to) because I know things are sometimes pronounced differently. But in this case, I was under the impression the character was from the US and the accent sounded that way. So it was distracting to hear things said so differently. Also, there were a lot of characters in this book, but the tone didn’t change much from one character to the next. The narrator seemed to only have obviously different tones for female or male characters. It didn’t make me dislike the story, or the narrator, just made it hard at times to know who was speaking unless I was paying attention to the names said before and after.

I would recommend both this author and narrator after listening to this audiobook and look forward to other romance from them.

The third installment in the series about police officers, we get to see more of the loveable guys. Marc is finally getting his dues. Just like his family and police family have threatened. He just didn't realize it was going to be from a women how was trying to dunk her ex cheating husband.

Kayla is a single mom now raising four kids on her own, and battling with her ex tool bag husband. The cop that arrested her when she dunked her ex still stars in her wet dreams and yet nothing has happened....yet

I really love Nikki's stories. Super funny, great banter, chemistry, splash of drama, tears and lots of steaminess plus throw in some work cases and family and you've got stories about sexy cops and the women they fall for.

Now whose next? Morris is done ✔
Damon married off ✔
Marc has fallen ✔

So will it be JJ and Sage?
Or will Declan meet his Loki match?
Or is Rocco going to find his mate?

All of these guys those now taken and those not yet are adorable, hard working, kindhearted, comedic troublemakers and it's awesome. Impatiently waiting to read the next story.

Oh and would Deanna just get laid or fired or something- she gets to be more annoying for the small part she plays every book.

Kayla is a divorced woman with four kids. When she discovered that her husband was cheating on her with a 23 yr old stripper she decided to teach him a lesson. She gave him a right royal dunking where he cries and blubbers for her to stop.l She arrested by two hunky cops. Months later she;s out with her ex mil and her best friend and her children when the said hunk cops stop over to say hello. Marc is a hunky cop with a dysfunctional family..well he thinks they are. They all seem too interested in getting him married. He politely tells them that he;s happy playing the field and has no need of one woman. His dad laughs and says he;s just jinxed himself. That;s the day he meets up with Kayla again. Life just got way too interesting and between two screwy and dysfunctional families.
A rollicking story of two people who are not looking for love but seem to keep getting pushed towards it.
Fantastic story and read.

I freaking LOVED this. I listened to this and was bursting out in laughter multiple times while listening. When I wasn’t laughing I usually had a big smile on my face. These characters! I could listen to these boys banter ALL DAY long! Then add in Kayla to the mix?! This just gets better. The story was so unbelievably good! I picked this up random and can’t believe how much I love it! I think i have a new fav author.

The secondary characters are just as much fun to listen to as the main two. The name calling between DeClan and Kayla....hilarious! The sister of Marc, the pseudo brothers of Kayla, the mom and ex mother in law...I could really go on and on. They are all magnificent and add so much to the story.

This is my first book by this author and it won’t be my last! In fact I have purchased the others in this series. The story was delivered perfectly. It is one of my favorites and will be going on my repeat list.
I did listen to this on audio and Amber Bray was outstanding. Her character portrayal was spot on!

O.M.G.! Each time I start to read one of the books in this series I worry - I honestly don't know how Nikki will manage to make the book as good as the last. Yet every time I'm so relieved and so happy as she constantly does! This one has the normal that we've come to expect of the series - alpha male, sassy heroine, action, humour so funny you're getting funny looks as you're snorting to yourself! (Or in my case smothering my face in my pillow as I'm trying not to wake my sleeping husband as its four o'clock in the morning and I've been unable to put it down! 🙊). It is possible to read this as a stand alone and follows Marc (Mellies, from the first books, brother), but the story is greatly enhanced if you read them in order, and tbh they're so great - why wouldn't you want to read them all?.
Also, how FIT is the guy on the cover - would so get arrested just to be handcuffed to/by that! 😏🔥🌶

Nikki Mays has created yet another rom com drama that will leave readers entertained and captivated from beginning to end and wanting more when it's done. Marc is a "man whore" who has no intension of settling down, Kayla is a single mom of four trying to keep it all together following her divorce. When the tow first meet, attraction is sparking between the two and Marc will fight tooth and nail to become part of the family he's fallen in love with. Filled with meddling friends and family, danger, laughter, passion, and love. Cuffed by You will have readers dying of laughter at the antics of the characters but also showing readers a different side of Marc they haven't seen before. A great story line with an unexpected twist and wonderful characters, readers can't help but love. I laughed so hard and loved this book so much, I couldn't put it down.
