One of my favourite novels when I was younger. It is about a young British girl who gets trapped in a coal shed during an air raid, and is found herself befriending a German air pilot who crashed in London. Really great novel for children who want to get a different perspective of war and "the enemy."

The main character is insufferable and reads much younger than 12, and the plot didn't really pick up until the last third, so I did not find this very enjoyable.
