When a real estate agent unexpectedly dies right in front of her, Scarlett is thrust headlong into another twisted plot where she is suspected of murder.

As if that weren't dramatic enough for our budding new witch, her favorite vampire seems to be going through some kind of psychotic break, and her almost boyfriend also finds himself a suspect in what is turning out to be a murder.

Couple that with trying to get to grips with the casting part of being a witch and Scarlett more than has her hands full.

Looks like it's turning out to be just another Tuesday in Bicester...

If you like your protagonists quirky and hilarious, your mysteries confounding, your vampires secretive, and weres dashing, you're going to love everything in the Very British Witch series!

Hi, my name is Isobella Crowley... but only my mum calls me Isobella. Everyone else calls me Izzie.

And yes, I said mum, not mom - which tells you I'm from England. Bicester (near Oxford) to be exact. Like Scarlett in "A Very British Witch".

I also love all things Wiccan and magical. I taught myself how to use tarot cards when I was 8. Also learned a bunch about astrology, so it seemed only natural that I'd end up writing about a girl who finds out she's a Wiccan by descent, and spends her free time in a real life magical book shop.

The wine shop she works in is based on an adorable little vintners in Eton... just the other side of the bridge from Windsor. If you ever visit there, be sure to check it out. The guy who owns it knows EVERYTHING about wine. And he's kinda cute.

Ok, that's a little about me. I'm also on facebook, and would love to connect with you. Hope you enjoy reading these stories!

This was a great follow on from book one.

Scarlett has decided to listen to her Aunt Tabitha, and to study to be the witch that she should be. She starts to study a family grimoire, that Tabitha gave her, but she's a little bit distracted, as Cliff, the Vampire that she's recently got to know, has asked her out.

Unfortunately, while at the Estate Agents, that the Werewolf, Ronnie, owns, Jade, his number one best salesperson, falls down dead after drinking a cup of water, handed to her by Scarlett.

And so, yet another crazy plot begins, with Scarlett, yet again, being accused of murder but, as determined as she is to prove her innocence, she finds that teaming up with Soldier Tim, is the only way she can get to the truth.

With almost everyone she knows, desperately determined to hide their own secrets, it's going to take a miracle for Scarlett, and Tim, to get to the truth!

Once again, I really enjoyed this story. It's full of gentle British humour, and a slight, but loving, mockery of the British murder-thriller.

I actually enjoyed the fact that it was more Miss Marple, than James Bond, and really enjoyed the way that the group of 'misfits' included Scarlett within their group - if only to keep tabs on her propensity to doing amateur detective work.

It's going to be interesting, to see if Cliff can solve his own problems, before the Police, or the Military, can get wise to who, and what, he is, and whether the others in the group can go for more than a few days before something else dramatic happens!

That said, I'm going straight on to book three: Mauve.

If it's as good as the previous two books, then I'll be as happy as a pig in mud!

So, as usual, I'll catch you on the flip side, to let you know what I think of book three!

Liking Scarlett, Tim, and Auntie, not so sure if the rest

Trying to guess where you are heading with this series, especially with the unresolved murders that Cliff has committed, and how Tim will act of react when all is revealed. Or, how should Scarlett act when she finds out.
Good read, revealing bits and pieces as the story progresses, bringing in the paranormal, etc.,with enough twists and turns to keep it interesting. Thought the reveal by Scarlett felt a bit rough, a real leap to come to this conclusion at that point in the story.
Will go for book 3 next, then determine how I feel about the foursome and their interactions with the others. At this point, I find that to be the weakest part of the books

Good Book, Nice Series

Scarlett is standing right by a casual friend when she keels over. Scarlett, of course, is immediately a suspect in a murder. The plot takes many twists and turns as Scarlett and crew pursue various scenarios to solve the mystery and clear her of suspicion. I like the mystery, humor, and romance. Will she finally hook up with Tim? I look forward to the next book.

It's murder

Our heroine finds herself in another stressful situation. At least she has Tim again. Her aunt, a witch, plays a much bigger role in this story. She even gets arrested for the murder. Scarlet is losing her marbles she worries. Good read, great story.

Good read

A good read with good characters. Not much in magic though as it is mostly a murder mystery. I'll read the next installment to see if it gets witchier.

Good Read

The story has a bit of a twist so the villain is not so readily apparent. There is more of the mystery yet to come!!!

So very good!!

Scarlett is really quite different from what I'm used to as far as witches go and it's nice reading another style.
Definitely keep it coming!!!

I really like this book, loved how it got more into the who dunnit stage, was a little put off the character development but overall really good, the person who did the murder, the reason behind I never saw coming! Bravo!
