When the first book, Shake Some Action: the Ultimate Power Pop Guide, came out it started me on a years-long quest to acquire all 200 of the listed albums. This new version is out and re-fueling the drive to hunt! There will always be disagreements (Rick Springfield definitely SHOULD be included and Butch Walker should be in here somewhere) but that the nature of all lists.

I agree with Todd (above). This book, along with its' predecessor absolutey rocks. I've spent hours reading the reviews and lists then pursuing the music. John Borack is indeed one of the avatars of Power Pop music. Thanks for taking the time to do these 2 books, John, and really enhance my musical life. I can't recommend Shake Some Action (squared) enough!
