This is a special treat as we get to see how the Three Sister's of Rivenloch and their husbands are doing. Even better as it Christmas time and their families are all together. They are sharing both Christmas, and the Viking Jul. As Deirdre & Pagan, Helena & Colin and Miriel & Rand each with four children, sneak off as the children are busy with stories, food and singing. Each sister is a warrior and all have married strong Knights, but during the traveling and getting ready for the season none of them has had time along. Each finds a secret place to couple. All of them lose track of the time, till the nurse of Deirdre and Pagan's children awake them to the fact some of the children are missing... The three cousin's Hallie, Feiyan and Jenefer are missing. No one has seen them and they can't be found in the castle. As their parents all blame each other and search for the girls. The drama builds. This is a short, family story with a wonderful surprising ending.... you will love it...
I really enjoyed reading this wee Christmas tale. It has the three Rivenloch warrior maids and their families together celebrating Christmas at Rivenloch. There is just the right amount of mystery when the wee young daughters are discovered to be missing on Christmas morning! There is love and intrigue and family coming together for the greatest Christmas day festivities. I recommend this book to those who love Highlanders and Glynnis Campbell.
It was nice seeing how the Maids of Rivenloch lives after the series and seeing how in love they still are with their husbands. Their children, especially their girls and very much like them and have a very close relationship with their grandfather. The story begins pretty slow, but it turns intriguing when their daughters and grandfather disappeared. The ending was so endearing.
I really enjoyed this glimpse into the lives of the Warrior Maidens of Rivenloch after their series ended. It bridges with the beginning of the Warrior Daughters of Rivenloch series. Reading about these couples who we have met in previous books to see how they are getting along was really fun. The story hinges on the 3 daughters of the 3 maidens going missing and the frantic efforts to find them, along with their attempts at melding old and new family traditions. I definitely recommend!
A Short but Delightful Story. It was Great to read about The Rivenloch Sisters with their Families at Christmas. The Older Grandkids are so Adorable with their Grandda. Anyone who loves Glynnis Campbell's books (especially "The Warrior Maid's Of Rivenloch) will enjoy this Novella.
A wonderful short story about combining different cultures and still being able to love, laugh and live in harmony. I wish real life was that way. I am looking forward to the rest of the series.
Loved this short Rivenloch Christmas tale about 3 sisters that are Warrior Daughters, wives, and mothers. Deidre is the laird of Rivenloch, Helena is her fierce warrior sister, Miriel is the youngest but no less fierce. Each has a husband that are handsome Norman warriors that they are just consumed with love and lust for. Each sister has 4 children already, and each are pregnant, though no one knows it yet.
Their father is beginning to lose touch with reality, but they are determined to have both the Norman Noel traditions, and their own Jul traditions. Father takes the 3 eldest daughters of his daughters away from the castle without a word. He thought his daughters had forgotten all the Jul traditions and stories, and he wanted to make sure his granddaughters did not!
This was a lovely Christmas stories that showed blending Christmas traditions was not the worst thing that could happen, but to be sure that all traditions were never forgotten!
A Rivenloch Christmas: A Wee Holiday Scottish Medieval Romance Story (The Warrior Daughters of Rivenloch), my second read from author Glynnis Campbell, an author my wife, a scottish lass herself, has been reading for years, 65-pages of Scottish historical romance, a prequel to the The Warrior Daughters of Rivenloch series. With more than 80 books published, my wife as a fan and a recent trip to Scotland this past August, I look forward to reading more from this this author with Lady Danger: An Enemies to Lovers Scottish Medieval Romance Adventure (The Warrior Maids of Rivenloch Book 1) high on my TBR list. “I received a complementary Kindle copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
Any time I can return to Rivenloch, I'm all in. These warrior women are tough and strong until it comes to their children. Then, they're frantic as they chase through the keep looking for the kids with their husbands, taking some fun detours, and having much more fun than they could have imagined for the holidays.
This was such a fun story. I've missed these women. And Their little trysts show just how much they're all still in love with their husbands. The children are huge personalities on their own, but when they get together, it's mini chaos. It was just such a joy to read, and I'm looking forward to reading more in the near future.
Well, the warrior maids and their dashing hunks were all caught with their pants down! It was a holiday gathering with our favorite maids and their families. With everyone at Rivenloch, there was a shortage of privacy. So each of our favorite, feisty maids were clever enough to steal a bit of time away from the clan to kindle the old flames of romance. Inattentive as they were, the newest maidens of Rivenloch took advantage and had a holiday adventure of their own. This was a very short read, but oh, so steamy!!! A holiday delight!
Viking stories are not my favorite and this was no exception. I read the whole book but struggled through a very short story. Mostly, detailing 3 sisters escapades with their spouses and a even shorter story of their daughters going into the woods with their grandfather so he could tell the story of Odin, slaughter a goat and paint their faces with the blood. Not my cup of tea.
A catch up on the Rivenloch brides and family. A look at the Norse Christmas traditions and the Vikings. I loved that it showed how 2 different beliefs and cultures can exist and grow with the help of intelligence and understanding! So much sexy times with the brides and a glimpse at future characters. ( the children)✌
Another fabulous short story by Glynnis Campbell. The granddaughters of Rivenloch are as brave and independent as their mothers. A lovely story of Christmas, combined with the Viking celebration of Jul
An entertaining short tale of families coming together and the mingling of winter holiday traditions. I have not read any of the Rivenloch brides books, so the characters were new to me, but their descriptions make me want to read the series.
Short Sweet Christmas Tale of Warrior Maids of Rivenloch and their families. It’s a beautiful tale of blended celebrations and family togetherness. Reconnects you to the warrior maids and the new generation to come. Glynnis Campbell doesn’t disappoint.
