In Romanian mythology, strigoi are the seventh son of a seventh son. Some strigoi can be living people with certain magical properties such as the ability to transform into an animal, invisibility, and the propensity to drain the vitality of victims via blood loss. Strigoi are the myth behind the modern Bram Stoker vampire.
Victor Marinescu is a strigoi. Victor arrived in America just before the Revolutionary War. The local village elders made a pact that every 20 years they would send the oldest daughter to Victor as a possible mate. In return, Victor would protect the village. Victor had been told by an old gypsy fortune teller that he would find his mate in the village of Carver.
Alana Treunmhor has been educated in everything about Victor and her destiny since her early childhood. Alana has a sympathetic heart. She is understanding Victor even though she has yet to meet him. Victor’s home reminds her of The Great Gatsby. Alana is starting to trust Victor and is letting her guard down.
After almost 700 years Victor finally finds his mate, Alana Treunmhor. He wants to be worthy of Alana’s loyalty and love. He needs to redeem himself. She’s beautiful, perfect, and everything about her is absolutely wonderful.
In trying to redeem himself, Victor has inadvertently made his whereabouts known to the only one who can destroy him and Alana.
I started my journey as a reader but quickly learned how much I enjoyed everything about romance, so I picked up the pen in 2017 and haven't looked back. Writing various genres, paranormal romance is my go-to. However, I do have a few mysteries and contemporary romances under my belt.
My favorite books involve characters that aren't perfect and have room to grow or a good mystery you can't easily solve. With each new book, I keep this in mind and enjoy creating complex worlds where my characters take the stage.
When I am not creating fantastic new worlds for my readers to get lost in, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my two rescue dogs, Sammie and Jake.
Pick up a copy of one of my books and fall in love today!

Strigoi Redemption is a different kind of paranormal romance. You can’t live almost 700 years and not have done things you regret. When his foretold mate is born Victor feels it in his bones. When he sees her for the first time he id driven to be worthy of her. This story takes us through Alana’s life and her meeting Victor and their friendship turning to love but like any good tale it doesn’t come easy or without danger. And with Victor’s family filled with unmated brothers perhaps the author will take us back to this world again.
This was a first for me by this author. It was amazing! Victor and Alana have a lot of obstacles standing in their way of a future together. Will Victor be able to keep her safe when danger comes? Or will he lose everything? You will be hooked from the beginning. I definitely recommend this book and author.
I received a copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Poor Alana I mean how many times can 1 person get attacked ?? Victor has waited over 600 years to find his mate. The story is good but the book doesn’t really flow for for me. Victor never redeems himself, he never followed the advice he was given to help his mate. Never learns about Christopher or why he hates him. chloe’s death was just grazed over.
Victor has lived almost 700 years before finding his fated mate. He and Alana have many obstacles to go through before they can have a future. This book is very detailed and descriptive. Highly recommend for any pnr lover.
Wow what a fantastic book of Love, heartache and joy! What a roller coaster of a a story. The strigoi is a Seventh son of a seventh son and this is Victor and Alana story. Fantastic a must read
Book Review Time! Book: Strigoi Redemption Series: Marinescu Brothers By: K.R. Hall Karen Hall Universal Link: https://books2read.com/u/3yajvn 5 Stars for this Whirlwind Paranormal Romance Victor Marinescu is the seventh son of a seventh son, which made him a Strigoi. That meant he could transform into an animal, had tremendous strength, also incredibly fast and become invisible. Victor is a man cursed. He is a man hunted. He is a man damned to be alone for life. But as fate would have it, the one woman made just for him was born. He must make her fall in love with him and bear him the offspring that will break the dreaded curse. Will the shy, beautiful Alana give him a chance? There are forces at play that want Victor and Alana to fail. Will love be enough? Or will the curse destroy Victor, making him and his brothers destined to live their immortal lives alone?
K R Hall is always so descriptive in her writing. I loved learning about new (to me) paranormal creatures. This is such a suspenseful and action-packed romance compared to others. It is not my typical read but I definitely plan to read more of the Marinescu Brother's books. When you're immortal, life can get very interesting. Can't wait to see where the next book takes this family.
This story was all over the place. There's a great story to tell but just needs tweaking. I felt sorry for Alana and all she had to go through. I would have like more details about what Alana was going through and Victor saving her.
honestly had a hard time with this book. For me, the book was just so disjointed. I fell with more fleshing out, the story and characters would be more engaging. That said, I did like the concept of the story and how protective Victor was
The author does an amazing job with details and brings you into the book. What Alana and Victor go through, is astonishing and you can't help but cheer them on.
This is my first book from this author. While this is not my usual read, I did enjoy the story. I loved Victor and Alana together. There was lots of obstacles in their way to have a future together. I enjoyed the many twists and turns.
This was rough for me to read. I liked the ideas the author was trying to get across, but they weren’t executed in an understandable way. I loved the idea of the paranormal working together and all the different types. I’d love to learn more about that. If this were revamped into a story about how Victor got to where he is and ended when he met Alana and it seemed like the first attack was the last, it could be an amazing start to a series! It would leave more space to expand the world and show the reader the intricacies of the laws and rules of the world.
**SPOILERS BELOW**
My issues with the way it’s written: *Too much telling, not enough showing. *The prologue could have been put into the story info. Infodumps that long lose the reader and it’s harder to remember it all. *Timelines unclear. Just a little cleaning up and chapter reorganization would help that. *Alana’s speech patterns were very formal, and she’s 20? It was unrealistic. *the characters aren’t described very well, except for Alana. I can’t picture Victor at all, other than he has hair of some kind and brown/red eyes. *The Lore! It’s missing! I don’t understand the reason for the deus ex machinas, the religion aspects are confusing, The more unique paranormal aren’t given much detail... it’s just not an immersive world without that. I love the ideas presented, but I’m unsure of how anything in the world works besides. *”Salty cream” was just... no. Nope. Pulled a whole face reading that. Is she sweaty? It was literal cringe-inducing.
Story issues: *Halberd just shows up. Oh, and he’s a demon. He disappears again. No explanation of anything. *Too many villains to differentiate and they don’t get any real character development other than telling, there’s no showing their intricacies. *Chloe could be so much more badass with those powers! I wanted more! Her working with the others from the start would have made them all stronger! I’d actually love seeing that. *The Lore. Non-traditional paranormal worlds need rules, and I couldn’t grasp them to grasp how all the factions work together, or why they would. *Victor did every little thing the fortune teller told him to. The magical, time-traveling, godlike creature gives him a spell, gives him a specific time and warning, he’s standing there at the day and time and occasion, reciting the words for practice when the event happens... then doesn’t do even a bit of it. Then way later, he acknowledges he didn’t do it. Why? Don’t know. He just didn’t. That part could have been cut for story clarity. *No real redemption felt for Victor. He did a bunch more bad things after being warned by magical, unexplained, time-traveling Deus Ex Machina Guy, and then he basically trashed that mission and the story doesn’t address it.

I was a bit disappointed in this book. I thought after reading the reviews it would have been better. I didn’t feel that the depth of character of either Victor or Alana were developed enough to give the reader a real feeling of connection. There were also many awkward scene transitions that required me to go back and re-read in order to figure out what was going on. The concept was a good idea, but the writing fell short of my expectations.
The concept of the book was well laid out with interesting characteristic many twists and turns. Just when I thought I had the answer to who was the issue I found out I was wrong. I did not understand the old woman and her prophecy but I plan on a re-read and I know I will find the answer. I can't wait to read more of Ms. Hall's books.
Very good read. Great detail! New characters, with lots of twists. I recommend this book by K. R. Hall, as well as her earlier books, I enjoy reading her paranormal books.🎆📖🎆
This was a hard book for me to read. I really struggled with the way it was written and the characters. It had a lot of great concepts but just couldn’t get into it at all.
Born to a cursed family, Victor just wanted to find his mate and be as happy as his parents. After over six centuries he was finally able to meet his mate. Unfortunately, there are those who don't want Alana and Victor happy. Will they get their happily ever after?
I enjoyed Alana and Victor's story. The history of the Strigoi is fascinating. Victor's personal backstory is as well. Lots of suspenseful events to get through. I would love to read Inima's coming of age story.
this book kept me on my toes as the story was so rich and the characters so real even though they are mythical beings. I can't wait to read more from this world
This is my first book by this author. And I am happy I checked it out. I love the suspense and romance. Not to mention paranormals. Wonderful characters. Keeps you guessing.
