"Promise me Ila! You won't decode any codes for strangers..." Her father expressed his last wish.

"Keep out of it." The undercover agent ordered.

"You are the torchbearer. You die even if you deny to do this." The guardian said.

"What has it to do with RSS, BJP and Narendra Modi?" Ila researched.

"Erase the trail Ila! Change the links before someone else finds it out. And you have to do this alone!
Because whoever helps you, dies!" The guardian said.

Will Ila decode it alone and find the eye-popping, nail-biting single inconceivable truth on which the existence of the world depends, trading the people she loves in the process?

Or will someone else snatch it from her to rule the world?

Read this racy, mysterious, and thrilling story of Ila Sharma, the national puzzle champ.

Reviews:
Nail-biting thriller!
"Nine" is a powerful read that tugs at the heartstrings.

"I enjoyed the narrative structure which never loses the pace and keeps a nail-biting tension among the readers. The narrative dwells in the past as well as in the present era with RSS, Modi ( Pradhanmantri) among others. The best part of the book is obviously the connecting dots between history and the present socio-political ethos of India. Sweta deserves an applause for providing such a treat to the readers. Shaheed- E - Azam is also there, omg this particular phase about him and that too Kakori ( Bismil ka Sandesh)well, too good to stay away from such impeccable delight.
Do not miss the codes, do not miss the love story and more overlook for the truth.
Mitron, get the book."

It has been more than 3 years since I last read Dan Brown's book because I started reading more from Indian literature/authors. And it has been more than 2 years since I last read Ashwin Sangi's book, as in Indian literature I focused more on debut or small authors. But the feeling of losing or not able to read a book by them kept coming to my mind. So it was a wonderful experience when I was reading Nine by Sweta Samota because the plot, storyline, and genre reminded me of Robert Langdon and Bharat Series.

Those who read Indian Mythological & Historical genre might be aware of the conspiracy theory of Ashoka and his Nine unknown. We know because we have more than a dozen fictional books around that theory. And still, our hunger for the subject is unsatiated. So when we saw Sweta's post on Instagram about her book and special kindle promotional price of 79 INR we just grabbed the copy for us.

As I have mentioned the story is around Ashoka and his secret knowledge sect. Ila a math problem solver known as number girl is our protagonist. She got problem-solving skills from her dad who had changed his identity to save his life and country. He advised his daughter not to solve a problem for someone. But she didn't listen to his dad and joined a prestigious college in Pune. Her goal was to get a gold medal in the world puzzle championship. In college she met with Kyra and Aryan both became close to her but always seems mysterious to Ila. Things changed Ila's life when she accidentally solved the problem given by Kyra. She didn't know she was messing up something related to national security and international terrorist group. Read the book to know more.

You will be shocked to find a small role by our dear Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the book as well. By mentioning codes/math don't worry much even if you are weak at it, Sweta has taken care to explain it to naive readers as well. The flow and pace were smooth and fluid. Not a single moment of unnecessary boring narration. Interesting chemistry between Aryan and Ila. Good mix and match of mystery, thriller, and drama. A perfect pick for a date with a book. I would love to have this book published by well-known publishers and get its copy in our physical book collection.

The book has a feel of James Patterson and Dan Brown. Ila Sharna, a college student, makes two new friends,Kyra and Aryan, in her new college. There are certain things which are strange about both of them. Ila is gifted with a sharp, logical mind and she has a thing for puzzles. They, not only excite her but she is capable of cracking most of them with ease. This quality, she has inherited from her father, who, in a way has suffered big time because of this gift. Fearing for her safety, her father takes a word from her that she will stay away from these puzzles, if the puzzles are put across by some strangers. Over time, she realises that her own life and safety was in danger because of her special talent.
Does Ila keep the word, she has given to her father? What is strange about Aryan and Kyra? Is Ila's life in danger? the story reveals it all.
⚫ The book has a brilliant cover, going well with the mystery that the book unfolds.
⚫The blurb and title are interesting too, especially the mention of THE NUMBER GIRL evokes curiosity.
⚫The pace is fast and the twists make it an interesting read. The chemistry between Ila and Aryan adds a romantic charm to it and eases intensity. The current political scenario and that at the time of independence is blended well with the story. Though, at certain times some sequences sound unrealistic, yet, the book is worth your time.
⚫The language is kept simple but, I feel, the book needs some editing and rephrasing at a few places. A little more work on narration style could made it more exciting.
All in all, the book is an interesting one time read.

Thanks to the author for a review copy.

Book: Nine
Author: Sweta Samota
Favourite quote: The devil whispered in my ear, “You are not strong enough to withstand the storm”
I whispered in the devil’s ear “I am the storm.”
Review: The book is about our protagonist Ila who is brilliant at mathematics and is an enthusiastic enigmatologist.
She becomes famous as the number girl who then embarks on a journey towards revelation of secrets which takes her life into a whirlpool of mysteries.
The book sort of has a dan brown novel feel to it. And Ila is Robert Langdon only without the Mickey Mouse watch.
The novel is well written, language is lucid, the puzzles were on point, kudos to the writer for such an in depth research. The novel has explored a wide array of topics revolving around politics, history mythology, fiction and of course puzzles.
I just feel some parts of my the book were not explored properly and thus led me to confusion Personally I wished for a better ending.

I recommend this novel highly for anyone who loves a good mystery thriller genre.

Title: Nine: A Gripping Tale of Ila Sharma
Author: Sweta Samota
Genre: Mystery, Thriller and Romance
Cover: 80/100
Rating: 65/100
Version : Kindle
Price: 99 INR

Hey,
I don't read romance much and same goes with thriller. But this was some other experience. Let's talk about it.

Plot: So the story revolves around Ila, a college fresher and national winner of decoding competitions. She is in danger because some anti national agency wants her to decode the mysteries hidden in the diary of Manu Mukundi Lal (check on wikipedia about him). She is guarded by Aryan who is an undercover cop and takes admission in the same class to protect her (much like Ram from Mein hoon na). She falls in love with Aryan and the story plot changes.

Will she be able to decode ?
What is the secret the diary is hiding ?
Do read to find out.

My View about the book:
I really loved the starting of the book, it had a good pace and was fun to read it. The confusion Ila goes through, the way situations are described and the arguments between them are funny. Reading it was going great until page somewhere near around 200. (If it had been same after 200, the book will be getting around 80-94, this is how much I was liking it)

So yes later in the book it turned me down by introducing Modiji. (I just don't know that why I am more upset, because of the story or Modiji). So the thing about the book is has parts of Indian history which are interesting to read. But then somehow the story turns all the way to our prime minister Narendra Modi and his life history and struggles. The book looked more like BJP election manifesto after some time. Also the way romance is showed was not the way I supposed (shocked, not surprised). Also, the end was pretty weird (not confusing, WEIRD). The way Ila is chosen to be the NINTH, showed a hole in the whole plot of the story. Also, there was a point where it is said that modiji has some invention to be at 2 places at the same time. (Yes, same expression, WTF).

P.S.: This review is not by kunal kamra.

Nine is the story of protagonist, Ila Sharma, popularly known as the Number Girl. She is exceptionally good with numbers, decoding and puzzles, and she gets it from her Father.
Her father, changed his identity to protect himself and his country because of his extraordinary power. He didn't want his daughter to go through the same and wanted a simple life for her, which is why he tells her to not indulge in any puzzles or decoding, but she ignores the promise and lands herself into a situation where she decodes a diary involving national security. Having drawn too much public attention, this situation only adds up to her miseries in life and more to come.

Pros
1. The storyline is very unique and captivating. It will intrigue you to hold the book till the last page of the story.
2. Characters have been well developed.
3. The cover and title are apt according to the theme and genre.

Cons
1. The mixing of two completely different genres - Thriller, mystery and romance, didn't work out well for the book.
2. A lot of grammatical errors, lack of proper editing which makes the reader seldom lose interest in the book.

Emperor Ashoka has left his secrets with a coterie on nine who have passed them on from one generation to another. Those esoteric secrets are closely guarded by a small group even today. Sweta Samota dexterously weaves the magical world of Nine. Ila is the Robert Langdon of this mystery novel where codes are to be deciphered for the powerful. There are sudden disappearances of the scientists and Ila is wanted by the Intelligence too.

The plot is nothing new, yet the book is a page turner. It is sumptious thriller for sure. And then there is a love story too. The writing is sharp. You feel for the characters and can't simply wait to know what happens next. But there are multiple layers and numerous characters both from the past and the present that add to the richness of the narrative. The narrative is fast paced which is a must for any thriller. Sweta brings out myriad emotions amidst this otherwise mystery novel. She needs to be congratulated for brilliantly marrying romance to mystery. If you enjoy thrillers go for it. You wont repent reading this one.

Nine: A Saga of Romance and Mystery by Sweta Samota revolves around our protagonist Ila; a sharp minded girl with a gifted talent of decoding. Numbers intrigue her more than anything and her ability to decrypt them is what makes her unique and also makes her the center of attention in the crowd of all kinds of people. People who want to use her talent for their own benefits which is why her father wants her refrain from continuing but alas it's too late as she has already attracted unwanted attention.

And when she's needed to decode a diary that holds information important for the national security, she isn't left with much choice.

The concept of the book was new even if it wasn't totally rational and sometimes the story line seemed to steer off into a direction that wasn't relevant to the entire plot. I also feel that there wasn't a need of adding romance to the story as it only made the story seem dragging and diluted the thrilling aspect of the book. The book would've been completely fine, perhaps even better without the love story.

The plot consists of a lot of things like conspiracies, drama and mystery which if handled well could've made this book a five star read.

Unfortunately the narration was too weak for that to happen. The writing style lacked descriptive symbolic imagery and the lack of progressive character development made the book dull and failed to execute what was a refreshing idea with a lot of potential.

I liked the fact that the main protagonist had a unique quality that set her apart from the rest of the normal crowd.

There were a lot of grammatical mistakes which was way too distracting. I suggest the author to hire a good editor as the mistakes are one of the things that holds the book back.

"Nine: A Gripping Tale of Ila Sharma, The Number Girl" a book by Sweta Samota, is a mixture of mystery, thriller and romance. The book specialty is intricate, multi-layered and I am quite impressed with the plot of the book. This book will surely win much heart in the coming time.

The book is a story of very intelligent and strong minded girl illa. Her life was very smooth going at her hostle in Pune, until she meets Aryan and Kyra. The whole story unfolds alot of topics and questions in your mind as you go along with the book.

I'm really impressed with the author as she has bought up the topic of "Illuminati" as well in this book, who we all still talk about somewhere in our group of interest. Also about PM modi and RSS which was also a hot topic of discussion.

The book is really a great read for those who like Dan Brown books and mystery novels. The book did not keep me bored even for a single chapter, reading along I felt like I am myself a part of this journey of illa as a reader. Sweta Samota has definitely did justice to the book by very impressive ending.

Nine: A Gripping Tale of Ila Sharma, is a wonderful blend of romance, politics, history, suspense and mystery thriller.

The story is about Ila, who has a passion for solving puzzles so that she can help people, where the story takes a 'U' turn when she is exposed to titled The national Puzzle Champion. This event takes a toll on her life in the worst way possible.

Puzzle solving has been my hobby too, so I enjoyedthis book based on that completely. Storyline is unique. Good characterisation. The plot has been wisely chosen and the writing style is vivid.

The strong feminine character is the main gist of this book. The link to Indian History has been the icing on the cake. So it was an un-put-downable read.

The cover is intriguing and so is the realistic title. Hats off to the author for this amazing work!

“Just completed reading 'NINE' by Sweta Samota. It is a mystery story of The number girl, Ila Sharma. She is a national puzzle champion.
When she starts to decode some numbers, she is stunned to find a connection that lead to the our Prime Minister. Doing this her life was on stake.
Sweta has described about RSS, Nathuram Godse,Mr. Modi and many more political leader's life in simple but in interesting way that encourage us to read more and more about them.
I liked in this book the connection between history and current political situation.
NINE is a perfect blend of History, Mystery and Romance. To know more you have to read this book.

The story of King Ashoka's Secret Nine Society, which has been guarding the treasure of ancient knowledge, has been reproduced by many writers in lots of books lately. Ms. Sweta Samota's book "Nine" is similar in the line. The book is about a young girl "Ila Sharma" who is born intelligent and loves to decode and crack mathematical puzzles. Because of her intelligence, some people are behind her life and tries to use her to decode some puzzle which would lead them to King Ashoka’s treasured books. As the story progresses, Ila meets Aryan (an undercover IPS Officer), who is appointed to safeguard Ila from the Ganglands. She falls in love with him and the chemistry between them matures. The book gives a detailed biography of RSS and its leader.

Though the book is fast-paced and a quick page-turner, but I found the plot quite weak. There are a lot of places where there is no continuity/ no flow… for instance, at the beginning of the story, the writer talks about some missing scientists – but the later chapters do not link their story with the main plot. In the midst of nail-biting suspense (or decoding a riddle), suddenly the main characters of the story get into carnal activities, which is quite annoying. Similarly, it is very annoying to read stupid characters in a smart plot... for instance when the gangsters catch Ila and Aryan at Ashok's house in Vadnagar and threatens them to spill out the information about the puzzle decoded by Ila, they blindfolded believes in the information shared by here and let her and Aryan (an IPS office working with Intelligence Bureau) go free...how stupid is that?? Why didn't they made her their hostage??

I somehow did not feel connected while reading the book. There were a lot of times when I felt lost. The writer has shown Mr. Narendra Modi and Mr. L K Advani as the members of King Ashoka's secret society and Ila joins as the ninth member of the society. However, the writer fails to narrate who was the ninth member before Ila joined the Ashoka’s Secret Nine Society? What happens to him? Where are the treasured books which the Nine scholars are guarding?

Classical mix of Thriller, romance and historical...!

"Nine" by Sweta Samota
(Book 2 of CY 2019)

I think, this is the third work of Sweta, which I read and just completed. As usual, i have taken more time to get into the book. Once got into the book fully, it took hardly three days to finish off (After doing all the office, run, write and other routine work.) In fact, I did read last 38% of book in one sitting.

The book is a 'Romance and Mystery thriller' genre. I just remembered my fav author Karen Robards and Ashwin Sanghi, while reading this book. What a gripping story...! What a narration...!

Ila is a 'Number wiz' girl, studies in Pune. She has a room mate Kyra and another co-student Aryan. She gets a feeling whole world is wanting to decode something big through her prowess. However, she has made a promise to Dad that she would not reveal the secret to bad elements. She does not know whom to trust and whom not to...! Then the reality strikes...!
Wow, nice context setting...!

She slowly gets attracted to Aryan and Aryan appears to reciprocate. Kyra has some diverged views with Aryan. Ila is in fix on whom to trust. She is grappling between love and secret. Suspicion gets added when Aryan is not to be seen for quite sometime. Nicely set tempo...! Yeah, I felt dragging till the context setting and tempo build up. After that, it was more of a rocket launch.

Then, its about Emperor Ashoka, Mr M, Confidante of Mr M and Danny....!
Wow, what a research and an explanation of Inside Indian Politics and Medieval Indian History...!

A good novel with gripping narration, some nail biting moments (wanting to skip some portions in order to get to know what is going to happen next...!). And loved the portions of romance too, cautiously tread, made it tantalisingly enticing.

Verdict: Indeed, a great read...! You have done it Sweta...!

Nine by @swetasamota
.
"This dairy has taken my Dad. This dairy also took Manu Mukundi Lal"
.
To start with I'm very fond of historical elements in stories,so this book caught my attention from the cover and introducing lines.
.
Blurb - The protagonist Ila is a young girl studying in Pune,A 'Number wiz' girl, who see the whole world as a puzzle and she is so damn good at this that she got in national news. Although she seems to get the skill from her father, still her father is not very happy about this and advices her against solving things for other people but fate plays her in doing exactly the thing and the consequences changes her life course greatly.
.
Characters- In Pune ,Kyra is her roommate, who is constantly seem sketchy and Aryan is the co-student/love interest, but later is revealed as a undercover agent trying to guard Ila and as the story moves ahead the characters and readers are left with conflicting mindsets and Ila is not sure whom to trust and whom to not,
The story has an ubiquent plot presence of RSS, that I really liked, also the bits & flashes of Manu Mukundi Lal are very interesting, the story also has a cameo from Modi ji.
.
What I loved and not?
.
The best part is the idea of the book and authors efforts in the research really shine throughout the book but I hope the author could have implemented it even better with more character development and avoidance of unnecessary storylines like the love story
.
This book is a 3.5⭐/5 for me

Nine by Sweta Samota is a wonderful confluence of Mystery, suspense, drama and romance all in one.

The narrative takes off with our protagonist, Ila, solving puzzles, gambling small things, defying her Dad’s warning to not solve puzzles for strangers, until her photo is flashed in the media as the national puzzle champion. The twists and the roller coaster ride after that is something you won't be able to predict.

The book builds appropriate tension from the very start. It seems well researched and is fast paced. The writing style is simple and the plot is a meld of early history and present politics.

The thing which incited my interest about this book was it's intriguing blurb and the title.

Though it was a little unrealistic, it was a nice and intelligent read ending with all the Jigsaw pieces back to their place!

My Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟/ 5

This book didn’t once fail to remind me of Dan Brown. It is every bit as good as his books and I have only ever said this for Vineet Bajpai. This book is very well researched, very detailed and very well explained. The perplexing writing style keeps you hooked throughout and only stops at the last page. Although the story does feel very rushed at some points, it comes back on track soon enough. have never had knack for Maths, I hate it from my very core, but I am glad that the codes and methodology used were not that hard to understand which means anybody can read this masterpiece. The way the author has linked the story from the past to the present is commendable. I really liked the fact that the author has dropped little hints of romance as well. A round of applause for the cover because it does every bit of justice to the book, you’d want to pick up the book because of the cover!

Nine is a fast paced story about a girl named Ila Sharma. Ila is a college going girl who is called the number girl due to her ability to solve complex puzzles. All was going well for Ila until she was following her father’s instructions until one day when she defies his orders and solves some puzzle for her roommate. Soon Ila is middle of a big trouble and now she’s being asked to solve puzzle from a freedom fighters diary. What is the trouble? Will Ila get out of this trouble? Will she solve the puzzle for these traitors of our nation? To know more read Nine.

My View:

Absolutely loved the whole idea of a female lead who is genius and solves puzzles. The novel is fast paced which very much suits the story. I loved the writing style of the author. The book is written in a simple and lucid language which will help the readers flow through the story easily. The narration was good.

The characters are well developed. I loved Aryan’s character the most. He is very passionate about his work and also love how he cares for Ila. Ila is a girl who loves her numbers but she is also a bit curious about things and easily believes others. This is how she ends up in trouble with Kyra as she puts her trust in her.

The cover of the book is also good. It suits the whole plot of the book. The plot is also very interesting some what different than the usual stories. The book will keep the readers on edge as to what is going to happen next.

Overall, I liked the book and would recommend it to someone who’s looking to read a thriller romance book.

This is my second book of the author. I randomly picked this up without reading it’s blurb and it turned out so amazing. I am glad that I picked this. I was reading content down to the title “Fact” and I was really amazed by that. I have always read the story of Ashoka till the Kalinga war. I never knew the later part. And it’s wonderful how author has derived the title. The complete title of the book is “The gripping tale of Ila Sharma, the number girl so she is the protagonist as we can say. We can categorise the book into thriller, mystery and romance genre. Ila has mysterious blessing or we can say capability to solve puzzles and mystery and her life takes her to lots of twists and turns. Many years ago, I tried to read Dan Brown novel but at that time I failed to finish as my reading concentration was not thorough and it was complex to understand so I went for his movie. But this one has been written perfectly. So I can say this is the one that everyone can give a shot.
If we see generally, I loved the plot/storyline, it’s amazing. I have rarely come across such plot. The writing style of the author is good. Things have been explained well so it’s easily understandable. Author has done good use of vocabulary and language. I like the narration style. It’s like watching a thriller and I would definitely love to see one. Overall good one.

Having a signed book from the author is awesome and the beautiful thing is when it comes with a personalized note. I was overwhelmed.
The book cover, it’s so mesmerizing and it caught my eye in the first glance. The first page will take you to the history of Emperor Ashoka. If you are a history buff, then it has all the ingredients to hold you till you finish the reading at one go. Just like the Pizza with Extra cheese which is tempting till you have all at once.
So, NINE is a book of Romance and Mystery thriller, yet an intriguing story blended with modern day to an era of Emperor Ashoka. Such a gripping story with wonderful narration...!
It’s a story of Ila who’s the main protagonist, Kyra is the roommate who accompanied to Ila and Aryan is the co-student. Ila is a 'Number wiz' girl, who gets the feeling the whole world is wanting to decode something, slowly she gets attracted towards Aryan. However sudden disappear of Aryan, Kyra’s diverged view about Aryan and Ila is not sure whom to trust and whom to not, that’s the twist of the book.
The author must have done her research, since the explanation of Indian Politics and Indian History so engrossing. Wow !!
Kudos to the Author!!
The story has plotted so nicely which you can't put down till you flipped the last page of the book at one go. This Book is written with Minimum character, the characters were so beautifully brought to life with no confusion clear understanding. The plot also entails historical piece spanning Ashoka and his nine unknowns. Overall, the story for me was fast-paced and riveting.

When I went through the content page of the book, I was intrigued. The book starts with a chapter which is called FACT followed by a chapter called OCCULT LORE and then there is a chapter ZERO. There are chapters with numbers, minus four and minus one.
Nine is a thriller all right. There were certain instances in the book where I felt that things were being dragged and at times, I felt that this could have been detailed. But the best part of the book is the suspense that has been painstakingly created. There were parts in the book when I was associating myself with the book and I thought I was with Ila and was trying to solve the number puzzles along with her.
The character of Ila has been developed well and I felt the author could have detailed other characters also. The language is simple and the narration is gripping and the thriller part makes the story fast-paced.
The author has really done a detailed research which was evident from the way she has described the historical incidents. The story moves effortlessly between the past and the present and between fact and fiction, keeping the reader guessing, what is what.

Are you looking out for a really fresh, innovative, unique and captivating political thriller?
Well then read on because this post is exclusively for you.
TITLE: NINE
AUTHOR: SWETA SAMOTA
GENRE: POLITICAL THRILLER

Overview/ My Opinion:

I had a really wonderful experience with this book.  Firstly the concept around which it revolves is very unique. I haven't read a book that has such a unique and diverse concept that's been executed so well.

The writing style was good and the language used was easy going and lucid. The narration was good but it could have been.
The cover and the title are appropriately chosen.
The characters were very well developed. I could connect with the protagonist Ila very well.

This was a very interesting and a well researched book. I'm amazed at how the code words etc.were put in into the book.

This was a slow paced, action and adventure packed read with lots of twists and turns that keep coming up which kept me gripped till the core while reading this book.
The places, the scenes and the array of characters were very well crafted and presented.
The emotions of Ila and Aryan were developed quite well.
I loved how much importance to patriotism is been given in this book.
I'm not much into the political or the thriller geners but this was truly an easy and fantastic read.

The story does make you emotional at times.

The storyline was unique and captivating.  The plot was fresh and strong enough to keep me gripped to the core while this book.

I really wanted a better ending for this book,
I'll craving to know what will now happen to Ila and Aryan, I wish that a sequel to this book comes up.
Overall, this was a very interesting and a fantastic read.  Definitely recommended if you're looking for a really fresh and unique read, and also if you wanna get started with thrillers.
MY RATING: 4.5/5🌟

A heads up, do not read the book if you are allergic to BJP, RSS or Narendra Modi ! But, if you want to cure the allergy, do read it...

Sweta has just carved a new niche by combining suspense / thriller genre with biography and still keeping it a work of fiction. Kudos to the author for such a bold effort.

The pace of the book is nice and keeps the thrill intact but at occasions, pace is too much to keep track of what is happening and it feels a few things were missed in the rush.

Further, being a number freak, I would have personally loved a little more in depth puzzle solving as it feels it's left to Ila Sharma and her mind in a superficial layer.

But all in all, a super read !

Nine is a story of a girl Illa who is superb in solving puzzles like anythinh decodinh any number, map and any hidden name treasure.
This quality she is inhereant from his father, who kidnapped multiple times by terrorist organisation or some kind of people who want to harm our country.
So his father always told him that Illa never solve a puzzle for any stranger or never show your talent to anyone.
But in colleage she meet Aryan and her roomate Kyra and they both have some secrets and some strange behaviour which always bothered her.
Illa is also in some danger ,some people trying to kidnap her too but she was not aware of it.
Story takes too much sharp turn and twist which keep you hooked into book till end.
Surprisingly writer used RSS and Modi in this book and makes it more intresting.
Full of mustery,thriller and Romance.
Language is perfect ,simple and goes with flow.
Book cover is attractive and catchy too.

Stars given - OMG!!! This was awesome. I want more, in short 5 on 5 stars.
My take on the book -
For someone who adores strong female characters who can handle things this one was an amazing experience for me. There's a lot of ups and downs that the character faces and watching her overcome challenges and move on was really cool.
I was reading this one on the bus while coming back home and little did I know my neighbor to was reading the book. I used huge fonts when travel reading. She asked for the name and said that she will buy the book as soon as she reaches home. So you can understand just how cool this book is.

The author, Sweta Samota has done an amazing job with this one. There is stuff that nerds like me will definitely enjoy. She has inculcated puzzles and points worth pondering over. Ila is this bright and beautiful girl studying in Pune. She's the protagonist that takes us on this literary journey. It is a treat to class readers and not the mass ones. I like how the mystery kept me griped throughout the story. Writing style is pretty lucid and fit for beginners.

Pros :-
1. Fast paced
2. Gives socio-political food for thought
3. Lucid writing
4. Engrossing
5. Pretty straight forward
6. We'll researched. No confusion of facts with opinions.

Cons :-
1. Unnecessary romantic involvement of characters. No connection to the plot

Genre - Mystery
Socio political

The cover is very intriguing, I like the display of shadow and light.

Very fond of King Ashoka his was the era that I liked reading and researching about during my graduation so that was a plus.

The story here seemed a bit more towards the irrational side much to my disappointment.

The author did try putting up enough facts and makr the book more thriller but it didn't work out that much for me.

In the end I couldn't deduce whether there was enough character development or not.
All in all it was a one time read and I did enjoy it.

Recommended.

So basically it's a historical thriller with an addition of romance in it. The plot line is quite gripping as promised in the blurb and the title is henceforth justified. The story unfolds in layers and there is a fast paced narrative which makes it easy for the readers to stay connected with it. The character building is good which kind of make u attached to it. If u are a fan of thriller u should definitely read it.

Just finished reading this book. Kudo for the author 'SWETA SAMOTA' writes such a perfect combination of the mystery, thriller, and romance.

The book specialty was intricate, multi-layered and I was quite impressed with the plot of the book. This book will surely win much heart in the coming time.

I'm thrilled with the storyline. The Protagonist of the story is ILLA. The story plot was revolving around ILLA world. All was going well for Ila, solving puzzles, gambling small things, defying Dad’s warning to not solve puzzles for strangers, until her photo is flashed in the media as the national puzzle champion. After flashed her photo in media hole story is changed. Her world gets toppled upside down when she gets to know she is being hunted. She finds something shocking from the history of India and in one moment, everything changes. Betrayed multiple times, trusting anyone is no more in her nature.

In the story, I amazed by the author who picks the Illuminati topic. I remembered on my college days in hostels we talk about the Illuminati. Hole night we talk about this. One more thing I amazed with is the author used such talkative topics of the present days is RSS and Modi ( Pradhanmantri)

Finally, I'd say that the book is too good and highly recommend this to anyone who is a fan of this genre.
