Remembering the Dead touches on themes of Death, Love, and Madness.
In this slim volume of poems, horror and suspense writer R. Saint Claire uses classical, at times whimsical, rhyming structures to explore themes of loss, love, and nature's wild passions. Graveyards, bittersweet memories, and the transcending power of true love are its inspirations.

R. Saint Claire has put together a wonderful collection of interesting, emotional poetry. After the poems, the book also includes a bonus novella/story titled Father Angelo.
An absolutely stunning read. Every poem is well crafted, packed with powerful imagery and is extremely emotionally resonant. For all the people who say that modern poetry can't utilise traditional styles and elements, this is one of those collections that will instantly prove you wrong. Utilising rhyme, meter, assonance, alliteration, traditional structures and schemes, without ever straying into feeling clichéd, or diving to the depths of platitudes and bromides. This is a definite must-read for anyone who loves dark fiction, horror, or dark poetry. Even those who think poetry isn't for them, but like dark literature in any other form, or the people who like horror fiction or the darker side of literature and want to dip their toe into poetry, this would be a great way to start. It's accessible, relatable, clever without being obtuse or needlessly confusing, and most importantly, it's fun and enjoyable to read. Give it a try, and you won't regret it.
An excellent book of poetry. Dark and also quite personal. I loved the Dracula poem! The short story in it was really good and contained a clever shock.
This book was extremely difficult to rate, but it does have it's own charm. For me poetry is hard to rate, because it's not a linear story, like a novel but is all about how they make you feel and experience while reading them. A handful of these poems I enjoyed and the others I thought were simply alright. Not sure if this is Regina's first time writing poetry. There's also a short story at the back of this book which again was alright. I haven't had the best time with short stories in general. I have a strong feeling that I will like this better on numerous re-reads.
