I liked the cover as it gives you the vibes of hardcore romance that the book offers to promise. However, the blurb is not only vague and dull, it's also not written well and doesn't strike any interest in me as a person.
It's like I'm reading a monologue of a run away girl I have no interest in knowing about. The blurb disappoints and I can't say that this is one of the books that is more than it's blurb because to be honest, the book itself is nothing but a series of vague events that happen only for the sake of creating an intimate relationship between the protagonist and her new subject of interest.
I simply didn't care about who she would end up with because I didn't care about her as a character. There was no strong characterization or development for me to connect with any of the characters. They were so one dimensional and had no motivation as an individual in the story. The writing style is extremely poor and the book is even more disappointing than the blurb. There was nothing positive about the book.
Everything from the plot, to the characters, to the narration was terrible. I was dreading to continue it but I never DNF a book and I had to give a feedback so I kept reading. Not only the plot was dull and painfully boring, it was also annoying. I kid you not I don't remember what the story was because of how distracted I was while reading. This book didn't give me anything to keep me hooked or even make me read it with interest.
The idea of a romance novel is to make us root for two characters but this book failed to do it cause I didn't care about the relationships or the characters. The dialogue delivery was extremely poor and I just don't know why it was written like this when the author could've written something else with a fresh mind and vivid descriptions and characters that made you feel at least something.
I appreciate the author's attempt but I just feel like it was written for fun as there's nothing about this book that screams Professional writing.
I simply don't recommend this book but if you find something that makes you want to go ahead and read it, then you're more than welcome.

I bought a book on pre-order on the weekend. This is one of the best novels I read this year. Alina writes fantastically. I recommend and look forward to the second book!
