Xavier Dalkeith. This is the next book in the series A Search for Marriage. This book is great. There is plenty of drama. Tamara and Xavier meet in Las Vegas at a bar and one thing leads to another. When they awake the next day, they found themselves married. Tamara thinks that Xavier feels like her that this was a mistake so she leaves and go home. Ten years has passed and now Tamara is trying to make a better life for her and her son. In order to do that she needs to divorce Xavier to move on. Xavier decides he needs to move on too, and that's when he realized he was still married. Now what does he do if Tamara wants half? It gets pretty ugly as they try to settle the marriage. This is a must read book! *** I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else’s. ***
When I read the prologue I was not prepared for the rest of this story. Talk about miscommunication and misunderstandings, these two had it in spades. She walked away from her marriage hurt and humiliated and he was left not knowing why she left also hurt and humiliated. It took them finally being honest with each other before they could get to the love they both had been holding for each other since the beginning. The happiness expressed by their son solidified their decision to finally pursue their love for each other. Excellent story and I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
This was a nice story. 10 years was too long for Xavier and Tamara to reconnect especially since they were still married. I liked that Tamara was a strong individual, smart, and a great pediatrician, but she angered me at refusing to tell Xavier that he was a father once she decided to get a divorce. Especially once she knew her son Gianni needed that male presence, she totally ignored giving him a chance with the one person he needed most. Xavier was that alpha male we all would love to have in our lives. But he was stupid, not even to consider that Gianni was his with all the evidence in front of him. I am glad they both ultimately got their stuff together and realized they still loved each other, and being a family was their greatest gift.
I enjoy a second chance romance but this one was the worst. Tamara and her parents behaviors were appalling. How can she and her parents be ok with not telling a father about his child for 10 years on the basis of an overheard conversation between friends. The justification is that the child would be taken away. Isn’t that what they did for 10 years. Tamara never apologized for her behavior and we had Xavier going to ridiculous length for her to forgive. Really? Crazy and immature.
This book was horrible…. How can people be so selfish and not even out their child’s feelings first. What woman she is marrying to have a father for her son when the man not the son like each other. How do you hear your son is making up stories about a having a father and that mother be so concerned but never once consider telling him who is father is….how many times did this boys parents use him to get revenge against one another. This was a awful storyline about people who really needed counseling
The book was great, too much emotions not enough truth
Maybe it's just me but I love an happy ending. I be wanting to know if and were they got married again and did she were her wedding dress she had at home did she get married in Italy or when they came back. Was the mother-n-law friendly was she pregnant again Who was on her wedding party, how smart was the son, did the family like the son. You cut the story too soon.
I'm just enjoying these brothers and the women in their lives especially when they strong too.. Xavier and Tamara are both stubborn and truly deserve one another if they could just stop jumping to the wrong conclusion and misunderstanding which only lead to heartache for no reason! Leading to years of being apart and misery. But I really enjoyed this book now on to the 3rd book!
Xavier Dalkeith: BWWM Romance (A Search For Marriage Trilogy Book 2) by Jasmine Carter
Hurt can sometimes blind us to what's real and what's not. Tartar and Xavier are two such victims. Who gets married and then separate for eleven years. Tamara kept her son away from Xavier and never told them about. each other. Xavier did someone crazy things as well ,but real loves makes the difference n there relationship. Very interesting book for 18 and above.
Although I liked the book, I didn't love it. The characters seemed either obtuse or stupid. How can he look at a child and not think it could possibly be his if the child looks like him, is the right age, and people are saying he is the dad. Plus he could have asked her instead of assuming she just from his bed to someone else a day after she left him. Not realistic or believable.
The second story in this series is really a great story. The characters were well developed and connected well with each other. The brothers may should have been more present in this book, but the entire story was believable. Will continue reading to complete series. Good " Sweet" Read.
I enjoyed the story, I just never understand the hidden secrets scenarios when they are this large like being married a whole decade, but it's a story so meh. They were so easy to make ammends to some pretty big deals, but all in all was a good read, just not realistic in some points.
Oh these Italian men can make a girl cry with all the passion for there woman. X IS so real man. Sex handsome and dominate. 10 yes this man hold a wife w/o living with her amazing. Love how he wanted s child with her when they first was married. I fell hard the first time he met her. Loved the whole storyline. Ty.
This is the first time I've ever read anything from this author and I'm pleasantly surprised. It had mostly everything I like in a story. The characters were mostly believable. I like the spin on Xavier "not" knowing his son by looking at him. Good read
Vegas wedding and diffcult start for two strong willed people. With a second chance at relationship and love Xavier and Tamara have some secrets in their way. The chemistry was good between Xavier and Tamara and I enjoyed the interaction between this couple during the story.
The heroine in this selfless and silly but a big baby. I spent most of my time yelling in my head, why? But I read to the end, I felt sorry for the child. Don't waste your time.
Absolutely Captivating and entertaining with unforgettable characters that have a great chemistry between them. This is a intriguing story with amazing romance when they get to it. My only wish is it could be a absolutely enjoyable first book in a series.
Good story but not as good as the first book . Too much garbage used as a story didn't get better until after the sixth chapter. Let's hope the next one is better.
One thing I noticed between this part of the trilogy and the first part is that they start around the same time. Sebastian was not married in Xavier's story and his adventure was so different than his brothers. I loved it! I wonder how different Colton's story will be?
I enjoyed reading this book! This book was about Tamara and Xander! This read I thought for Tamara to go be an educated doctor, that she would have some kind of sense! I say this because she kept her son a secret, even after the son voices his request to know about his father! If it wasn't for both parents wanting a divorce, Tamara still probably would not have informed Xander that he was a dad! Eventho I didn't like Tamara, I know others will enjoy reading this book! It is definitely a book I recommend to read!
