All of the recipes are gluten- and dairy-free. Ingredient tips offer alternatives. Calories, fat, carbs, fiber, protein are also listed at the end of each recipe.

Too much mushroom, cauliflower and garlic for my taste, though.

Whilst some may not be sensitive to dairy and gluten the author suggests that you start by at least eliminating these food categories, THUS all the recipes in this book are dairy and gluten free. If, after two weeks, you are not seeing any improvements in your health, you may want to take your diet a step further. Excluded foods list for the various diets are included. There is also a great double-page spread of foods known to support your thyroid and ones to avoid. Are you a vegan? There are 73 recipes in this book for you plus 11 more that can be converted!

Different color dots beside the recipes inform the cook what/whom the recipe is suitable for:
AIP (Autoimmune Protocol)
EP (Elimination Provocation)
Paleo
Vegan

Recipe sections are:
Smoothies, Beverages and Breakfasts * Snacks and Sides * Soups and Salads * Plant Based Meals * Fish and Seafood * Poultry and Meat * Desserts * Bone Broths, Sauces and Dressings (PLEASE NOTE that many recipes call for bone broth. Home made broth is SO good for you. )

There are a good variety of recipes in this book. Whilst I am not dairy free, vegan or having trouble with my thyroid I will be preparing quite a few recipes from this book for our family. For those of you not aware of what the Dirty Dozen and Clean Fifteen are you will find these two lists at the end. (Advice on which fruits and vegetables have the most/least pesticides.) Then come the measurement conversion charts which are handy due to this book having been written for the American market. This is followed by resources, a recipe label index and then a 'regular' index. What the recipe label index is all the AIP, EP recipes etc. listed together for easy reference. I do have to make mention that in this cookbook, and so many others, no dietitian or cook makes mention of the importance of eating GOOD salt i.e. NOT regular table salt. Do you know how many minerals you are missing out on but not consuming real salt? Phrased the other way, do you know how many nutrients have been removed from the white table salt that is so cheap to buy?

I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher. That has not influenced my review with the thoughts and opinions above being my own. Thanks, Liz

If you suffer from either Hypothyroidism or Hashimito's and are looking for some nutritional advice that may help you to improve your symptoms and get your thyroid issues under control, Emily Kyle has prepared a wonderful book that not only contains 125 healthy and inflammation fighting recipes that are compatible with many specialty diets, but information that will help you to set up your kitchen for nutritional success!

I never realized that diet could play such a big role in one's thyroid condition until I read Emily's book, but now that I have, it makes such good sense! The first chapter is filled with crucial information about the thyroid-diet connection and has useful charts and lists that outline foods to include and avoid, whether you are eating in or out, substitutes, and how to monitor the impact of different foods on your health as you exclude and include them in your diet!

The 125 recipes she provides emphasize foods that contain a concentrated variety of vitamins and minerals that support optimal thyroid and immune function. The recipes are classified for easy reference based on whether they are vegan, paleo, gluten-free and more!

The 30 Minute Thyroid is a rich resource that I am happy to add to my health resource shelf in my kitchen. I recommend it to you as well!

Disclosure: I received a copy of this book from the publisher, but I was not required to post a review. My comments are based on my personal experience with this book!

Chapter 1 talks about the diet and that some recipes will be Paleo diet friendly, Elimination Provocation, Autoimmune Protocol , plant based and vegan.
The thyroid support diet at a glance on page 12 was really helpful!
Chapter 2 includes recipes for smoothies, beverages and breakfast.
Chapter 3 includes snack and sides.
Chapter 4 includes soups and salads.
Chapter 5 includes plant based meals
Chapter 6 includes fish and seafood.
Chapter 7 includes poultry and meat.
Chapter 8 includes desserts.
Chapter 9 includes bone broths, sauces and dressings.
On the top left of each recipe, there are color dots indicating if the recipe is paleo, vegan, etc. There is also the serving size, prep time and cook time. Although I haven't tried all the recipes yet, they all look pretty simple and yummy! I can't wait to try the avocado chicken salad!
I would recommend reading this book and trying the recipes, especially if you have thyroid issues. I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.
