************************* Author's Note: This book has been written taking as base a lot of religious and mythological research on my part. It's not my intention to insult anyone's belief system or religion by the things exposed on the following pages. Neither the book itself, the events narrated or my characters [their dialogues, actions or thoughts] reflects my religious beliefs. I ask of you to have an open mind and take everything as the work of fiction it is.
Born and raised in the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico, I have spent most of my youth daydreaming about becoming a vampire or having dinosaurs as pets, mainly Velociraptors. Yeah, I know, totally random. However, it wasn’t until I found out about Wattpad that those daydreams became stories to be shared with the world.
Most of my stories are paranormal and fantasy romances with hot guys and bad-mouthed chicks that have some kind of connection with my island paradise but I have ventured into other genres like horror and chick lit. All those writing experiments are only available in my Wattpad profile. Nonetheless, my favorite genre will always be romance. All those who have read my online works know that I like to add erotic scenes to my romances to spice the stories a bit.
In my free time I like to draw and paint. That’s my relaxation therapy.
Five “think outside the box” stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 for Tied to Darkness by I. Vélez
Good and evil, black and white, Heaven and Hell … where do you draw the line? Who defines what is good, and what is evil?
🤔 This book makes you think about establishes values. In a world where Angels and Demons are reality, can there be a different truth than what humanity has been taught? Are the Angels really the good, godly ones, and the Demons innately evil? Be prepared to think out of the box!
Mina Argeneaux has always believed in the supernatural, and dedicated her life to prove the existence of Angels and Demons. When she meets Vergil Larsa, that goal finally seems in her reach. But to what price? 😮 Who is the handsome stranger suddenly turning her world upside down? Who can she turn to if people she trusted are not what they pretended to be? Stunning revelations about herself, her mother and father, Vergil and other acquaintances force her to overthink the part she’s playing in the grand scheme of things. But no matter who tries to influence her thinking, the final decision will be hers alone! 🖤 Will she heed logic or love? Which side will she choose, and can she live with the consequences? Can there be a winner at all, or will every living being suffer consequences in the end?
The twists and turns of the storyline had me glued to the pages way past my bedtime, taking me by surprise more than once. I loved how I Vélez showed both sides of the medal, seeding doubt about the rightness of the expected decision. And to round off the story, there’s also hot sex and burning love mixed in 💖 Highly deserved five stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Mythology, Angels, Demons, End of World, Sexy and streamy scenes, and Hot couple. The book covers it all for you ............. The only purpose of Mina's life is to fulfil the dreams of her mother and complete the research work her mother left. She must prove that angles and demons are real and exist. What will happen to her in world full of angels and demons of which she became a part? ............... I.Velez presents the blend of different mythologies that makes the book raw and rich. You can examine the cross of mythologies m ................ The plot is quite strong and the characters are beautifully crafted especially Mina is so relatable. ................. I personally loved the book. It was so fulfilling Cant wait for the book 2. ................... I would give this book 4 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟. I deducted one star because plot was insincere sometimes. .................... I would recommend it to every adult reader who is into mythology or fantasy. Beware you will have certain orgasms while going through this book .
This was a fun and audacious premise for a story; Mina is our intelligent Latina heroine, reluctantly accepting she is The Chosen One, and this makes her a target for the wrath of Lilith, the Queen of Hell. Mina is forced into marriage with Vergil, Lilith’s youngest son, and all – sorry – hell breaks loose.
Mina and Vergil are unusual protagonists, each with different values and skillsets, but this is a classic hate to love tale, and one about loyalty to family, as well as a blockbusting fantasy adventure which will probably make any die-hard Bible-thumper break out in boils. And I loved it!
Vergil is hot, even as a demon, and a perfect match for fiery Mina, who won’t take any crap from him. Their chemistry is off the scale and the sex is delicious. I mean, I would! I’m a sucker for an anti-hero.
And so much respect to the author for writing this in a language not her own. The prose flows smoothly and consistently throughout, and the dialogue is sparky and natural. The only niggles I have are ones I’ve seen in plenty of native English books as well; namely the constant referral to the colour of their character’s eyes, and overuse of the word “orbs.” I mention it because at times it did interrupt my enjoyment of the story.
That aside, this was a great fantasy read with engaging characters, lots of blood, guts and hot sex. I would definitely read more by this author.
First I have to say this book is for those who love paranormal stories and romance altoghether. This is my second lecture in English and I was very compelled to read such a variety of universes colliding so harmonically. Had a lot of fun.
Me encantó la diversidad de temas, entre ellos: mitología griega, egjpcia, vampiros, angeles y demonios,en fin todo un universo bien estructurado.
I felt immersed in the reading as I turned the pages, Greek mythology as much as we know of Christianity combined made a perfect mix of a world full of adventure. The lore of this book is impressive, each detail was structured to perfection, I loved it, and it became one of my favorite reads of the year. I can't wait to keep reading about this dark world full of mysteries.
We begin with the plot of the chosen one, Mina whose life between her studies has been dedicated to proving that demons exist, even more when her mother before dying was proving it equally. Her father tells her that she has to get married to save her political campaign but what she does not know is that her fiancé is a demon, so she must flee to save her soul from darkness, she ends up attracted to the one who becomes her husband giving free rein to her desires. The amount of elements and action in this book leaves you on the edge of your seat waiting for what happens in the next chapter completely mesmerizes you. Seeing the growth of both main characters Vergil and Mina, is rewarding to read especially with Vergil seeing how despite being a demon and thinking the worst of himself he lets a human past his defenses falling completely in love with her, Mina becomes all sassy badass I love how she shows that she too can stand up for herself especially to those she loves the most.
Seeing the Puerto Rican culture in that book in small details always thrills me when I read Puerto Rican writers with great talent coming out of our little island fills my heart with joy. I loved this book and reading everything by I. Velez I love her way of writing and her style. Read this book you will not regret it is a world full of adventure, mythology, and darkness.

I had one of the best times of my reading life this past week sponsored by Tied to Darkness - Last days, Book 1. Without a doubt, one of the best angels and demons and gods paranormal stories I’ve ever read till this day. Mina is set to prove her mother’s researches weren’t ideas of a delusional woman, but she doesn’t count on being God’s Chosen One, who’d have the fate of humanity in her hands, and crossing paths with Vergil, the delicious, stunning, hot Prince of Hell as her husband on a marriage agreement between her father, a politician and his mother, Lilith herself. From that moment on, the adventure begins.
Mina is a strong, pragmatic human woman who doesn’t take crap from anyone, but she also has a big, caring and forgiving heart, all the elements to help her fulfill her destiny. Vergil is the son of the devil, (maybe not), prince of Hell and darkness personified. He’s sexy, cold, cruel, and has no remorse for his actions, that is until Mina, his Dove. They fall madly in love and make Hell hotter than it already must be.
The story is beautifully written in 3rd person omniscient POV, and I loved it. It’s fast-paced, and you don’t see some twists coming at you. The battle scenes are impressive and make you hold your breath and cheer for the main characters till the end. The world building and the evolution of the characters are magnificent, mostly Vergil.
There are three different Pantheons, portraying the secondary characters, and you’ll become attached to some creatures from Hell, besides each has their unique personalities, and they added so much to help with Mina and Vergil's journey. The encounters between enemy Pantheons are sometimes dark, full of anger, leading to battles, but also their exchange of snarky and sarcastic comments, make their insults at each other fun.
Veléz designed a great plot and fascinating story about passion and betrayals, but most importantly, even a darkened heart still carries a spark of goodness in it, and love can do miracles.
I’d love to read book 2. Crossing my fingers it will come soon. I highly recommend this paranormal story about the end of days to everyone who enjoys a dark, page turner, sexy adventure.
Tied to Darkness is the first book of Velez' Last Days series, and it takes off running from the start!
In Tied to Darkness, we get to follow Mina, our Latina protagonist and a sassy young lady who is forced into a marriage due to her father's financial situation. Unbeknownst to her, however, is that the proposed fiancée isn't only a son of a wealthy businesswoman; he is also a High Prince of Hell.
Mina ends up in the middle of an age-old prophecy, as the fifth Chosen One to find the missing Hell's Key, and unleash armageddon and bring about the end of the world.
This is an exciting, fast-paced, and steaming hot paranormal romance filled with lore, mythology and religion.
The characters are great, with a fiery enemies-to-lovers relationship budding from the start, sprinkled with exciting action and plenty of mystery surrounding Hell's Key. There are some pretty unexpected twists and turns, and the book really has you on the edge of your seat. This is an excellent start to a promising series!
