This book is not about apportioning blame to any part of society or particular demographic of the electorate in Britain for its exit from the European Union. It does not attempt to cultivate a debate for a second referendum but seeks to answer a politically explosive question that has not been asked by the print or broadcast media; was Brexit both predetermined and then engineered as an outcome to the ultimate gain of global corporations?
This book takes on the task of answering that question. It seeks to establish what happened in the background, why it happened, who was involved and what is coming next
This book should have been better than it is. The story it has to tell - of the forces of extreme neoliberalism driving Brexit, and the shady deals being concocted by various think tanks in the US and Britain with close connections to both the Trump government and the Tory Brexiteers - is an important one. Unfortunately, the book is badly organised, badly written and badly (if at all) proofed. It reads like a series of A-level coursework assignments. Lots of interesting and important points, and I don't regret reading it, but I can't really recommend it if you're looking for a credible source on Brexit. It covers slightly different ground, but Heroic Failure: Brexit and the Politics of Pain is a good alternative.
Well researched description of our terrifying corporate future.
Read this book now to become informed of the greedy, granì g people and powers at work to destroy our lives, our futures and the future of freedom for the majority.
