Mila spent her life hiding away in and out of hospitals. Only one sister could have a life, and she wasn’t the one that was chosen. Her best friend, her replacement sister invited—ordered her—to move in with her and her family. It would have been perfect if tall dominant and oh so sexy Slade wasn’t watching her with green eyes sent from the Gods, and a mouth made for sin. Time always felt like it was standing still, now it was rushing to catch her. The enemy that tried to kill her as a preteen was back; now it wanted her and the sister who didn’t know she was still alive. Could she sacrifice herself again so her sister could live? Or did she finally want a chance at life with the one man who made her feel life was precious? Slade was a rage-filled male with nothing to look forward to. When they told him that another human female was coming to live with them, he shrugged. What was one more? Then he met her. Her scent teased her with thoughts of a future that couldn’t be his; Mila was so much more. How could he even want to talk to her when another held his heart for so long? Slade needed to learn how to let go of the past and embrace the future before Mila was forever beyond his reach. Together they must defeat the horrors of the past if they ever want a future together.
I loved this series, sad that Slade and Mila was the last book in the series. It was hilarious, dramatic , traumatic, sizzling hot scene , intriguing and so much love and ass kicking. Definitely recommend this series.
Finally it is Slade's turn to find his mate in Mila a friend of Quinn's. Mila, along with her Hellhound teacher/protector arrives at Quinn's home with a plan to rescue her Quinn and the others from "the Big Bad" and his demon helpers (aka. Slade and is brothers). She is surprised to find that they were not infact the evil she had been trained to defeat, but that Slade was the one she had been trained to defend. when Slade meets Mila he is conflicted, he knows she is his mate but he still mourns his lost love and now he must release her so that he can move forward with Mila. Though this can be read as a standalone, the story is part of the Broken Series and is better if read as such. No cheating, No cliffhanger I have read and reviewed this as a voluntary ARC.
Slade and Mila learn what love is all about (KU borrow)
I have enjoyed seeing how each Broken has found their mate, fought for them, and enriched their relationship during this series. I think that this series concluded with the strongest, most kick-a&& couple: Slade and Mila. Mila was a great character because she had sacrificed her life for her sister's. She knew all about hardships, and she complimented Slade in that she could help him right the battle he faced. She didn't always need him to come to her rescue. I'm trying not to spoil the book, so I'm having a bad time explaining without giving examples of what she did. But I want to see a book about Dante; he's such an integral part to the Created that he deserves his own book.
The Broken series is complete with Mila and Slade's story. Loneliness and sacrifice lead to eternal love and family. Created, Human Women, Teenagers, Alien Cats that change into children and one special Hell hound are stronger than any Big Bad that wants to destroy them.
This was a great ending to the broken series. I have all the love me harder series and what is out so far of Dante's brothers series. Can't wait for the next book after lucca. I have the first book in the soul bonded series. Keep up the awesome writing. I have recommended it to my mother, my sister and all my friends who are secret book worms.
This book was really good. Slade and Mila are awesome together. Their tragic pasts really make you want to stand up and cheer for who they have become. And man are there some twists in this book.
Okay Ms. Serena, you are an amazing writer. I love this family so much. I feel as broken as Space and the others. But I am impatiently awaiting Dante!!!!!
