When I arrive at my remote vacation cottage,
I don't expect to find a hot Scotsman in my bed.
I also don't plan on being snowed in with him.

That the cottage is his.

Hero too stuck on his past with the ex-wife. Even @ 98%, he is angry at her for leaving him for another man. How am I, as a reader, suppose to believe in the love story between him & heroine when he is still hurt/obsessing about his ex love?
This could have been a nice read if the Author had not incorporated all that past history with ex. why Authors need to incorporate such plots is beyond me because in this story, I never felt he truly loved or wanted a future with heroine. His reasons were too lame and by the end, it was not believable for this reader. And if I don't believe in HEA or the romance, what's the point in reading it.... (And by the way, HEA sucked lemons!! It was HFN...)

Donna Alam never fails to make me genuinely LOL with her books. Her turn of phrase is spot on and always makes me smile. This one was no exception. Plenty of heat, lots of laughs and just the right amount of feels to keep me turning the pages as quick as I could. Loved it! Perfect Christmas treat.

DELIGHTFUL!!!
OMG! Talk about an amazing little jewel. Reagan works her magic with this little gem. So touching and sincere. The instant connection and explosive chemistry between the two main characters is such a beautiful thing to behold. All the twists and turns, unexpected surprises around every corner make for one heart melting experience. Throw a little spice into the mix and you have the makings for one touching not to mention a little humorous story that just draws you in so deep until everything else ceases to exist. Watching as the sparks fly, they're instantly drawn to one another. Stronger than either had thought possible. All the drama, love, heart pounding, pulse racing, smooth flowing, page turning and a little intrigue make for one incredible experience. A whirlwind of emotions and events that really pulls those heartstrings. The characters and scenes are written with such realism it really pulls this little treasure together beautifully. Regan totally nailed this little gem hands down, 100% on point details and descriptions. You feel everything the characters feel. You become part of the story instead of a bystander. You fall so deeply in love with the couple and root for them to make it. Reagan did a remarkable job bringing this read to life flawlessly. I love Donna Alam stories full of sexy men and sassy women and this story Surprise Package is no exception and I enjoyed it immensely. Izzy doesn’t have any luck with men she’s had enough of them she doesn’t have a date to her friends wedding that she’s on her way to now, even her gay best friend Mo cancelled on her so now she has to turn up on her own and she’s not looking forward to it. Mo books a cabin for them both and Izzy just arrived there and she was exhausted so she is going straight to bed but when she gets in the bedroom there is a lump in the bed she pats the lump but then it speaks and Izzy starts screaming. Greg sits up in his bed why is there a half dressed crazy lassie standing in his bedroom?, Izzy thinks that Mo has set her up and she asked Greg what service did Mo use then she starts talking about her sex lifetime a complete stranger and all Greg can do is sit there with his mouth open. I loved this funny heartwarming contemporary romance and who doesn’t love a sexy Scottish accent I know I do. A fantastic story a 5 plus ⭐️ read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

What a way to be woke up. Surprise, surprise. And to hit it off so well that things get really warm. It is funny, hot, emotional, surprising and so much more. I enjoyed this so much and couldn't put it down. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.

When Izzy decides to take a little getaway to Scotland that she was to be accompanied by her best friend, Mo, she relies too heavily on her GPS and ends up at the wrong cottage, where spies a *ahem* lump in the bed. A lump formed by a hot Scot who most certainly shouldn't be there, to her way of thinking!
As the two realize they can't keep their attraction at bay any longer, it should be a fun little romp, considering how short their time has been; but feelings just may be developing. Or are they? Izzy thought so, but when she heads back to London and gets no followup call from Greg, she feels like the dumbest woman for falling for the Scot, who must have just been having fun.
When a development takes Izzy by surprise, will it bring them back together, or will Greg continue to run from what happened between them?
If you like your holiday romances with lots of steam, a hot Scot and a surprise around the bend, I highly recommend you dive into Surprise Package. You won't regret it!

👍👍I love 💋the way heroine Londoner Izzy and her Scottish hero Greg meet in an inspired comedy of errors. Despite his good looks and fantastic life skills (no, I'm not telling, but he's got MANY talents!), Izzy has some issues with Greg and my favorite line is "...while Greg is certainly attractive, especially when his mouth is closed, I'm pretty sure I can manage to resist him."
The romance had mega 🔥🔥🔥🔥sizzle as this couple REALLY get to know each other in every way possible in a short time span. There's also some witty repartee and deep hurt and insecurity from previous relationships that must be faced. But all's well that ends well and there are multiple surprise packages to choose from, starting when a dark and stormy night delivers Izzy to a remote cottage in the Scottish Highlands.
I adore author Donna Alam's series featuring hot Scottish lads and this is a great addition. It's more heavy passion than romance, pagewise, but the couple do share touching moments. No cliffhanger.

Invested, eager then bam the end😠
Easily a 3.5-3.75 read had the story ended better! I loved the concept, loved the characters and the banter between Greg and Isobel! Loved the hot steamy times, the sweet caring times and I even loved the little drama thrown in. What I didn't love is the fact you get fully invested in these characters and their lives then bam over...just The End! No Hea after their finally together, no epilogue to wrap up some, we'll just call it lose ends! Wham bam thank you mam the end!
I've said it before and I'll say it again in future reviews, but if an author has the ability to capture and hold a readers attention throughout a book, then by gosh finish the story. I felt like this was a cliffhanger even though it isn't just because of how fast and unfinished I felt their story to be. Even an epilogue would have given us something.. 2.5 stars, if the ending better and hadn't left me frustrated 3.5-3.75 easily!
Read knowing this is a really good book that'll pull you in! But it'll end without you feeling satisfied and an incomplete knowledge of this couples lives, future or just the outcome of their journey! #neededmore

This is my first book from this author and I have to say, it stole me, kept me eager to turn the pages.
Sizzling hot scots man, what more could you ask for and I'm a terrible sucker for a man in a kilt.
Isobel/Izzy is off to a remote cottage for a weekend away for her friends wedding. Only her GPS sends her in the wrong direction and she finds herself in a cottage she suspects is the correct place. She heads to bed not realizing she's has beside her a male, shocked she has a small grope and wow, after that the chemistry just blows you away! This book is full of hotness and a package you don't see coming...

“Note to self: orgasms make me a nicer person”
I had to sneak in a late Christmas read, and I grabbed this one as a freebie- and jumped right in. Surprise Package is LOL funny, hella steamy ++, and maybe a little lacking in the Christmas cheer department. Still, I enjoyed this book a lot, it was a quick read that wasn’t a heavy - but I did find myself getting frustrated with both Greg and Izzy coming to the end- but it all worked out with steamy HEA.

I am so glad I read this book! There are really not any surprises, you're getting what you expect and THAT is something that I appreciate from an author. What woman doesn't want her own sexy Scotsman to pleasure her over a long weekend? That's what I thought. If you're needing a perfectly amazing romp in the sheets type of book, this is it!

Surprise Package by Donna Alam a five-star read you will follow into the dark. This has it all, surprises, pyjama pants (tight in all the right places), snow and a dashing dose of men in kilts!! My only complaint is that there was no recipe for boozy hot chocolate. Donna Alam you have once again proved why you are my hero, you are definitely top of my Christmas list for Santa to kidnap.

Greg the stuff dreams are made off!
My first novel from Donna Alam and it definitely Wont.Be.My.Last!!! Sweet mother of mercy how I love a Scotsman I was definitely born in the wrong country. Greg was the stuff of wet dreams, an alpha male from head to toe, the good kind the ones that make your panties go up in flames with just one smouldering look. God I've never been jealous of a fictional character before but I so was of Izzy the lucky b****!! Damn this fictional character is making me want to get my ticket to Scotland ASAP to look for a Greg of my own. I am in LOVE, I mean what was their not to drool over; big and I do mean EVERY WHERE, buff with muscles galore and tall, sexy accent, chocolate eyes and can cook! This man ticked all my boxes. He was so passionate I nearly combusted when I read all their hot and steamy moments and their were plenty let me tell you. He had an amazing stamina, it was a thing of beauty, death by f***ing what a way to go. He fulfilled her every fantasy, her every desire, and the icing on the cake..... he loved to cuddle in bed. Who wouldn't want to keep a guy like this? No one that's who! The story was a delight to read with a plot to warm any woman's heart. It had plenty of funny moments especially how they first met when she got her 'surprise package' lol in her bed in the dark of night. Their chemistry was off the charts, they were perfect for each other. Izzy our leading lady was so sweet and like many women disillusioned by past relationships so was a little insecure when it came to sex. Greg was her perfect counterpart, he definitely had no insecurities when it came down to sex so under his tutelage we see her blossom. Theirs a secret which Greg keeps close to his heart, one which inhibits him from committing to a long lasting relationship. A terrible hurt from his past which he is unable to move forward from and trust anyone. I may have sust out the ending but in this circumstance I didn't care because it was exactly what I wanted to happen so I was ecstatic. Got to hand it to Izzy though she had a giant pair of brass balls to do what she did on the last chapter and confront him in his very own home. Oh and that epilogue it was so beautiful and romantic I actually cried when I read the scene with the Hamley tartan. That right their is what sweet dreams are made off, what every woman longs to hear from her man and the perfect ending to this Scottish tale.

Another Scot, who's also HOT!
Donna Alam is something else! She kills me with her amazing sexy, hot, steaming novels featuring gorgeous, bossy alpha men, usually Scottish that you can't resist finding out EVERYTHING about! I have read every one of her books and jump at the chance to read each new one she releases, preferably on the 1st day it comes out! Can't get enough of her wonderful writing. Most of the time there is one or more characters from precious books that appear (yay) to give the story a fun spin (for me that is, fangirl that I am).
This time we have beautiful, downtrodden Izzy, questioning her worth right now, who, try as she might, can't find a decent man to love to save her life. She drags herself off to a Scottish wedding of a friend but her date turned out to be married already (!), loser. She rented a quaint romantic cottage that she will now have all to herself...or so she thinks!!!
Read this new book by the talented Donna Alam to find out exactly what kind of 'Surprise Package' is waiting for Izzy. You are going to love that package want one for yourself and hope for a Christmas miracle all at the same time and I'll admit, there were a few tears for the aching secret eventually revealed. There may also be some serious sparks, piles of snow, a cozy fire and some fun flirty very sexy times that will curl your hair! I LOVED this book, you will too! It's a holiday-ish book and it will certainly put you in good spirits by the end. Relax by your own cozy fire, kick up those tired feet and spend some time in Scotland with Izzy and ?????

This book is just so .... laughable. Ignore the pun of the title (which represents more than one surprise package), and you are left with a woman who ends up at the wrong cabin in the middle of a snow storm, is adamant that she is in the right place and the man who claims to own the place is in the wrong. Then believing her friend set her up with a male escort, she goes off on a tirade during which she still implies she is under 30 (she is 34) and has never had a good sexual encounter. Well challenge on for this man who is still reeling from a broken heart due to a divorce and his ex-wife all telling him it’s because he cannot have children. And so with less than 12 hours of knowing each other, what else is there to do in a cabin with no tv or internet but to shag each other.
The dialogue between the two was just a too much too keep a straight face through (butter, really??). And the single apostrophes instead of quote marks was really annoying to read through.
These were some continuity issues too - like how he always grabbed a condom before full penetration (how does he have so many when he claims it has been a while and he knew he’d be alone in the cabin for the weekend??) but he did enter her in the shower then pulled out to grab one before the finale. I wanted a short read with a cute story to fill some time, and this may have meet the mark if it wasn’t just so groan worthy.
The dialogue between the two was just a too much too keep a straight face through (butter, really??). And the single apostrophes instead of quote marks was really annoying to read through.
These were some continuity issues too - like how he always grabbed a condom before full penetration (how does he have so many when he claims it has been a while and he knew he’d be alone in the cabin for the weekend??) but he did enter her in the shower then pulled out to grab one before the finale. Let me just tell you that I put my cookie dough down to read this book and it was worth it. The story line was well developed with recognizable characters from prior installments from the Hot Scots series ... swoon!
Donna's guide through the visual imaginings of these characters was excellent, with references to David Gandy and Bradley Cooper. The setting being in the Highlands of Scotland was also well depicted, leaving me to bundle up a wee bit because it was "cold" outside (not here in Hawaii it wasn't).
The story trope was forced proximity, one-bed, snowed in, wrong address. It all worked for this story. I want to find me a Greg who knows how to handle his own body and brings all that lusciousness to his new found bed-partner. Isobel "Izzy" and Greg were a great match with plenty of chemistry written into their histories. And let me tell you, this book had so much freaking sex, it's my new go-to for giving advice on what to read to understand a woman's perspective on what to do in the bedroom ... or living room ... or kitchen ... or bathroom. You get my point~ ::smirk::
The downside??? Donna's proofreading team is weak weak WEAK. This is my complaint for all of her works and I'm growing weary from writing this out, but it must, again, be called to attention. Folks, edit your work. There shouldn't be mechanical errors, multiple ones, on every stinking page!!! Please do better!

Dang, if rom-coms just aren’t my favorite reads…and Surprise Package is a perfect example of why. This author has pulled off a winner with two incredibly fun and slightly sex crazed characters who stumble across each other in the dead of a winter night. Let the insanity commence!
Isobel, aptly known to her friends as Izzy, hasn’t had the best of experiences with love. She just really can’t pick ‘em. She’s pretty much decided that sex must not be that great and that, yeah—it must be her. Then there’s Greg; built like a statue to a sex god, with that Hot Scot accent that makes women swoon, to boot. He’s had much better experiences in the love department. In fact, it was really good. Until it wasn’t. So he just doesn’t bother to look for love any more. But both Greg and Izzy are blindsided by the magnetic attraction they can’t ignore. They are drawn to each other in a charismatic way that neither completely understands. But it won’t be denied, and it’s flamin’ hot.
This awesome read is one you can easily share with your co-workers. It is full of adult humor and language, and the sexy times are quite flammable. These characters, though, aren’t just sexy. They’re passionate, deep, and fierce. They’re also laugh out loud funny, and well worth the read.

This story SIZZLES, it's so sexy and HOT🔥
If you can't take the heat, this one's not for you! All I can say is WHOA. This has got to contain the most erotic scenes between Greg and Isobel, who end up snowed in together in his cosy little cottage in the hills of Scotland. Isobel had every intention of enjoying a retreat alone since first her ex then her best friend bail on her. So, instead she discovers Greg, surprising him tucked in bed when she accidentally gropes his *ahem* rather than the pillow she'd expected after she inspects the unexpected lump on the bed. She had initially wanted to curl up and go to sleep, but of course, all of this occurred in the dark, hence the grope, which led to their discovery of each other.
This is all rather cute in spite of Isobel getting annoying with her funnel vision in thinking Greg a bad idea and escort arranged by her friend who bailed on her at the very last minute, and although we have Greg's POV, we don't really get to know him as well as Izzy. All we get from him are his thoughts about the sexy things he's thinking of doing to her.
As a result of all the great and astoundingly hot sex, as well as their surprising amusing banter, this book gets FIVE solid stars!

I was so disappointed in this. I didn't cheer for this couple at all. Greg was single minded; all he wanted was sex, he didn't really care about getting to know her at all, even in his chapters it came back to sex every 3rd sentence. But Izzy is where this book truly fell apart for me. She was whiney, pushy and her whole personality gave me whiplash. From her being "woe is me" and playing the victim of her own love life, to being shacked up with Greg and going at it like bunnies all weekend when she has literally just met him (where is your sense of stranger danger?), to I saw it coming from miles away. I have really enjoyed this author's work in the past but this was not it for me.

Donna Alam has an absolute gift for taking my breath away with her sexy Scotsmen. They’re charming, and funny, and so, so hot. And they always know what to do – even when they don’t know what they’re doing. Greg is the newest in this line of hot alphas with a brogue. I’m a sucker for any story that starts with a meet cute, or one where Murphy’s Law takes the reins. And the way Izzy stumbles into Greg’s life is truly Murphy’s Law at it’s most fantastic. The story’s side-splittingly funny and scorching hot, but it also digs deep into some angsty emotional issues too. It didn’t take me all the way to full-on ugly-crying, but it had me reaching for the tissues, nonetheless. One of the things I love about this collection, is when favorite characters make cameo appearances in later books. And Will is definitely one of my series favorites. I also adored this chance for us to get up close and personal with Mo. He is such a fantastic character, he might be capable of eclipsing my favorite Scottish matriarch. I can’t wait to get my hands on whatever is published next in this series.

Alam is super fantastic at telling great love stories involving Scotsmen, whether set in Scotland or London or a combination of the two! And Surprise Package is another involving some of the characters found in EASY, published earlier in the year. This one starts with Isobel driving through a cold rainy night on backroads of Scotland to Greg's cottage that she thinks is the country escape she booked for a few days before the wedding of Will and Clare. She leaves her car at the gate, runs through the rain, arriving in a small but nice cabin, pleasantly outfitted. She goes upstairs to get into bed to find Greg, who she rudely awakes to him proclaiming this place has been in his family for more than 100 years and he, himself, has recently rennovated it. She thinks her gay friend Mo, set her up with an escort. They eventually spend the night together, waking to find themselves snowed in for four days. Great dialog, firecracking chemistry, two people really enjoying being snowed in. You'll be really sad to hear why Greg won't consider meeting her again and really happy with how things turn out!

Izzy shows up to a cabin she's to stay at for her friend's wedding only to find a strange man there. Greg Can't believe the stunning woman is accusing him of being in her place when its his cabin. Sparks fly between them as they argue over the cabin but a snowstorm traps them together so they have no choice but to share it. The longer their together the more the pull to be together tempts them. They spend the time getting to know each other and playing games. They connect to well together but what will happen when they have to return to reality?
This is a great story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This was such a fun holiday read! I laughed quite a bit while reading this and it was a light hearted and steamy read. The characters hit it off quite well after their initial meeting, and the scenes got quite steamy.
Isobel has the worst dating history known to man! All her ex’s have lacked in every department, especially the bedroom. Isobel is driven, feisty and thinks he best friend has done something unbelievable to her.
Greg is a Scotsman... now let’s all swoon! He has been hurt in the past which makes him hesitate the future. He is really good with his hands as well........
These two clash at first but then melt together with intensity. The story is sweet and enjoyable and laugh out loud funny. I really enjoyed this read and can not wait for this author to bring me more Scotsman yumminess! I am so ready!

This is the perfect Christmas treat. Alam has done it again and produced the perfect book boyfriend. Greg might just be my favourite now and all her men take some beating.
This is the story of Izzy and Greg. Izzy goes on a little Getaway to Scotland to attend the wedding of her friend. She stumbles into her rented cottage and comes across Greg sleeping in bed. Both claim the cottage is theirs but decide to sort it out in the morning. When morning comes they find themselves snowed in but mutual attraction quickly draws them together and let the
steamy scenes begin. As always, Alam had me laughing my head off at parts of this book with her witty dialogue. Loved the storyline and now I’m looking for find a Surprise Package under my tree this year! Overall, this was a great quick steamy read 😊
