If you are practicing rhyming words and color words with your students or children, you need this book! The language is simple and cute, and the characters in the story are students, which are easy for a classroom to relate to. The kids create a rainbow at the end of the cute story. It wasn't my favorite, but it was cute.
There were many different aspects of this book that I loved. When the crayons were talking about dancing all over the page, I love how that brings imagination in our brains and causes the kids to want to color with creativity. I would definitely have this book in my classroom because it brings creativity, imagination, and team effort while also incorporating five different colors of a rainbow.
Five Colorful Crayons is a short, simple book that works great for younger readers. This story would be a great tool to use with children to talk about the different colors and other things that are those colors. You could also use it to talk about what their favorite color is. One activity you can do is it gives the class a blank sheet of paper and give them crayons and see what they make.
A story sharing different things of 5 different colors. The crayons talk of the colors and drew pictures in the hands of children working as a team to draw a picture. The crayons are curious of what is being created and are curious of what they are making. Blue crayon becomes tired but red encouraged to keep going. They picture at the end was a rainbow.
This story would work well to introduce or talk about different colors. The pictures help to give students ideas of items that represent the different colors. The book helps lead to discussions on how students can find these colors in the room and world around them.
There were five crayons, sad they weren't being used. The crayons made a pretty picture for the kids to see. Instead of continuing to play, the kids wanted to see what their crayons had drawn. As they all stepped back, everyone could see the pretty rainbow they had created.
Cute book about taking turns and what individuals in a group have to offer. Easy enough for a 4 year old to understand. Illustrations are well done. Overall, 3/5 stars ⭐️ would recommend!
This book was a very cute book about bringing five colorful crayons to life. Each crayon had their own idea on what they were going to color; however, once it was time for the kids to start coloring, they let the kids imagination take over. The final piece of artwork was a giant rainbow that each crayon and each kid worked together on.
There were many different aspects of this book that I loved. When the crayons were talking about dancing all over the page, I love how that brings imagination in our brains and causes the kids to want to color with creativity. I also liked how it talked about all of the kids and crayons had to work together in order to make the final perfect piece. Its important for kids to work together in the classroom in many instances in order to learn more and to learn what it is like to be a team player.
I would definitely have this book in my classroom because it brings creativity, imagination, and team effort while also incorporating five different colors of a rainbow. I might use this book during a color week where each day is a different color. I would read the book every day and have coloring activities specific to each days colors and on the last day, I would have the kids make their own giant rainbow with the same colors while working together.
