Title: ➳ ❤- Provoke

Author: ➳ Olivia Ryann

Publication:, December 10th 2018

ღ I was so excited when I realize that Olivia Ryann was writing spinoff to Cherish series with Dryas Aetós

➳I believe you don’t have read the Cherish series to enjoy this series.. But I totally would cuz it’s such a amazing series
So if you read Cherish series you’ll understand why most of us are going into this series with hatred for Dryas. As I did with Arsen Aetós , I will try my best to keep open mind , but then of course curious also won out

➳ From the looks of it this gonna be dark & twisted tale. So hopefully you’ll enjoy this quick Lil introduction into Dryas as much as I did

💕 I really enjoyed reading Dryas & Rue & I am excited to see what Olivia Ryann will come up next for these two

1- Provoke 💕

2- Punish- Publication: January 22nd 2019

📚 Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion & my honest review 💕

This is the review of the 3 books in this series that have come out so far.

People read books so that they feel better, not worse. But this series of 3 books was one of a kind.

This book - this book......*sigh*I have read Mafia romance books, i have read emotional abuse books, i have read physical abuse books, i have read kidnapping and runaway bride books but i've detested the book which have it all, along with a pushy know it all Male and a literal "Girl in the cage" kind of heroine (You know the ones who want to escape their situations but don't do much about it and give up to their destiny).

Even if i do overlook the girl for not fighting enough for herself, because as told in the novel, the girl don't know what to fight for, the male lead do and he does nothing but push the girl and later develop feeling for her because she is like a little bird...or kitten...idk...in his hand, for him to take care of her

*vomit*.....however, moving on....

After the hero kills his own brother, mourn by getting himself drunk and make a plan to kidnap a bride he do not know much about - at all except the person who she is marrying and...maybe the priest....

Seriously, i couldn't find myself connected to the 3 novels i have read in the series so far and i don't think i will be even reading the next one.

This book is sexist and sad and make me full of pity for the heroine and maybe anger for reading a book with so much negativity in it. I didn't enjoy it and would not recommend it.

Hope the next read turns out good; Till then, Happy Reading Everyone!

This was a short quick read that I liked. I love reading a dark violent mafia read. Two sisters who are being raised by the church, and one assassin set against it. Rue suffers in silence, but she is hopeful that her marriage will end that. She finds out upon meeting the groom that it will not be the case. She is on her own, she must find her own way out. Yet another man stands between her and freedom, and he has her in his sights. This was a good start to a series. When I went to start book 1 I find out that it's not out and even this book is no longer available. This book ends with a cliffhanger.

Provoke was a great start to this new series. Dryas is out for revenge and has a plan involving the beautiful Rue. It's a quick intriguing story and I can't wait to see where Ms. Ryann takes the characters and story.

What a great start to Dryas' story! In this prequel we catch up with Dryas who is struggling with guilt about his brother Aerson and the loss of someone he lost long ago. We also met Rue and her sister Amabel , whose past parallels the Aetos brothers. Both had to learn to survive growing up in the streets. Though both chose to overcome it in different ways. We find Rue and her sister living in a cloister run by a man from Dryas' past. Dryas along with his brothers learn to survive on the very streets by learning how to to control them. Things aren't always what they seem to be. Rue may seem to have had made a better choice but in reality she is no better off. The man who Dryas want to seek revenge from is the very man Rue fears. Dryas has learned of Father Derrik's whereabouts and is ready to make him pay for what he did years ago. Will Dryas be Rue's savior when he finds her and discovers what Father Derrik has in store for her? Or will he just be someone else Rue will fear and be made to serve? Ms Ryann's new Protect series looks like it promises to be a nail biting story from start to finish. I was on the edge of my seat and this was only a peak into Dryas and Rue's story.

What a great quick little introduction into Dryas' life! We met him as a bit character in his brothers books (the Cherish Series, which you don't have to read to know what your seeing here, but I totally would because its such a great series). Toward the end of that series we got to see more of him, and I for one, did NOT like him. The author's got a long road ahead of her if she's going to make me love him, but this book guys, it did thaw my hatred of him just a bit! I can't wait until the next book to learn more about this twisted tortured soul! And Rue! What an innocent! Oh man are sparks going to fly with these two! Hurry up January and get here already lol

Following on the heels of her Cherish series comes the newest series, the Protect series. This series begins with Provoke, the first book, and follows the oldest brother, Dryas, of the Aetos brothers from the Cherish series. We leave him in the Cherish series having made a devastating decision (I won't spoil it - read the Cherish series). As he works to put the pieces of his life together, we find him chasing after Father Derrik, the murderer of a woman he cared for in the past. He is driven to take from Father Derrick in the same way that Father Derrik took this woman from him.

Parallel to Dryas's story is the story of Rue, a woman who lives in a convent with her sister following their parents' deaths. We find out that she is betrothed to be married through an arrangement made between Father Derrik and the Prince of Montenegro. While most would consider this an advantageous marriage, something seems untoward about it.

Through his investigation into Father Derrik, Dryas finds out about the proposed marriage, and a plan is hatched to interrupt Father Derrik's plans. What will happen? We, the readers, have to wait for the second book to find out.

Olivia Ryann loves to set us up with a quick book at the beginning of her series. As she did with the Cherish series, she gives us a brief prelude to the next book. This book is quick, 6 chapters, but we get the background of the story so we are prepared for Book 2.

To be honest, I liked Provoke far more than I did the first book of the Cherish series. I was instantly engaged in the characters. Even more, I was curious to see how Dryas was dealing with his action from the last book of the prior series. Apparently, he feels some level of remorse. I wonder, however, if this will last as the story progresses.

What we know about the three Aetos brothers is they will do anything at any cost to get what they want. It appears that Dryas will stop at nothing to rain retribution down on Father Derrik. The question remains...will Rue be the collateral damage for Dryas's revenge?

I'm ready for this story and this series.

Overall: 5 stars

Wow! Olivia Ryann has done it again. Knocked my socks off, then
left me hanging and begging for more. Please hurry up and publish Punish.

This book is the next chapter of the Aetós brothers’
story. Even though you don’t have to read the first of the brothers’ story, Cherish series, I would recommend it. That way you can understand and feel the story’s impact better.

Dryas is a murderer. He has a dark evil soul, because of all the murders he has committed for the mafia. They don’t bother him. But when he killed his brother Arsen, now that one…that one is eating him up inside. With guilt. With rage. With regret. Things he does not have room for in his quest for revenge. Revenge to kill Father Derrick for taking his one love away and killing her.

Rue is to be married to a prince. She is looking forward to getting out of the convent and starting a new life. Life that is not with Father Derrick. But when she finds that the new life is not going to be what she thinks, she is determined to escape.

This book is a prequel to the Protect series and let me tell you it’s a dozy. It will grab your attention and hook you. Just like with the Cherish series it will hook you and leave you hanging. Yep! This book is a cliff hanger. Olivia is real good at cliff hangers. This book is hard to put down and progresses quickly. You will not lose any interest in this story. I promise you will be begging for more at the end. So get in, buckle up and get ready for a ride. This book is a blast off for an excellent series to come. Make sure you grab the book, you will not want to miss out.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

What a cliffhanger! I can’t believe it ended so quickly…the anticipation of the next book will be really succulent and I can’t wait to find out what happens next!! PROVOKE is the short prequel to the Protect series. Introducing the Büchel sisters—Rue and Amabel (Ama), who are living in a convent. We meet the other Aetós brother, Dryas, from Cherish series. Dryas is handsome, ruthless, filthy rich, and a member of the Cypriot Mafia in Cyprus, Greece. What is the connection between Dryas and the Büchel sisters? This is an awesome book, one you NEED to READ—you won’t regret it! This book is packed with mystery, suspense, drama, murder, and intrigue—letting you know what to expect later, but it is sure to be a hot as hell, sexy intriguing and twisted dark romance!! This book will continue to keep you glued to the pages of this fascinating story, and it has quite an unexpected surprise in which I was holding my breath. This book was impossible to put down, and it will have you on the edge of your seat.

Sitting here wondering how to put this together without giving away any spoilers, Olivia you make things so hard but your books are surely amazing and whose becoming the Queen of cliffhangers???
Dryas is one of the Aetos brothers and suffering he's lost the woman he loves so he will be seeking revenge on them that have wronged him, BEWARE.
Rue has spent the last seven years in a convent along with her younger sister and it hasn't been pleasant but she is now on the brink of a new life as she has just become betrothed to the Prince, but it's not as simple as that( it never is) and she is on a collision course but with whom?? Read this short prequel to this intriguing new series Protect, it will first hook you then reel you in and leave you wanting and it's free. I was given this as an ARC in exchange for a voluntary honest review.

I have always enjoyed getting to know a character with prequels, showing us about the characters and what to expect. Setting the stage if you will. Provoke does just that. We get to see a glimpse of Dryas's Life. Which we know he is Monsters brother from the Cherish Series. Which you don't really have to read that series to get this book, but it is an awesome series and it shows characters which are important to the stories. Now Dryas is not your typical character. I really kinda always liked Monster, but really I did not like Dryas. So he really has a long road ahead of him for me to be a fan. But that being said, I am a huge fan of the Alpha A@@hole. And to pair him with Rue, man this is going to be a great series!!!

Compelling

Two sisters being raised by the church, and one assassin set against it. Rue suffers in silence, but she is hopeful that her marraige will end that. She finds out upon meeting the groom that it will not be the case. She is on her own, she must find her own way out. Yet another man stands between her and freedom, and he has her in his sights.

What is here is compelling, but it ends too soon. The description of the book is not accurate - the scene described never takes place. The characters are a bit uneven but interesting. The institution that Rue seeks to escape and the priest that she fears obviously leave ample more to explore.

Dark and promising. There's a lot of seeds in this prequel. Murder, guilt, conspiracies, royalty, evil men and vengeance. Grand drama ahead!

One of the three Aétos brothers is ridden with guilt for his most gruesome mistake, but he's still intense enough to seek revenge for another loss close to his heart. And in his path, a broken flower of a girl is going to be his next victim... of dark passions and a bloody vendetta.

I'm quite excited about this brother in the new series after Cherish. It seems he can appreciate beauty but also threaten it with twisted emotions, and that's grounds for a very provocative story when mixed with royalty, fanatism and secrets.

I'm impatient for the next full-length book coming next January!

Well this provoked me! Great prologue to a new series!

Dryas is in hiding trying to move on from the ultimate betrayal he just committed while still fighting the demons of his past. When he catches wind of his nemesis Father Derrick still continuing his work destroying young girls he finds he may finally have the solution for the ultimate revenge.

This is a great prologue and insight in the mind of Dryas. I recommend reading Arsen’s Cherish series first but it is not necessary to enjoy this one.

Well this was a quick read but it was interesting. It was dark in places and I'm curious to see what happens. That Priest is evil and I found her sister was far too accepting off what she told her. I would have been horrified if my sister told me that. This definitely makes you want to read the series.

❤️🌼🔥WOW!!! OLIVIA RYANN (aka VIVIAN WOOD) HAS DONE IT AGAIN!!!❤️🌼🔥
What a way to begin The PROTECT Series...
So, we are exactly where we WANT to be....back in the world of the brothers, Aetós.....PROVOKE begins the story of Dryas with a bang....literally, and anyone of us who read the CHERISH series and HIGH PRIESTESS in the Cards of Love Series are SOOOO ready for the story of Dryas...❤️🌼🔥
Reading PROVOKE made me want to re-read The CHERISH Series, because even after reading it four times, I WILL read it again....And while It may be, technically, true, you don’t have to read the CHERISH Series, to enjoy PROVOKE, I, HIGHLY, recommend it.....It starts a new direction for Vivian Wood, and, if you don’t read it, you will be missing the experiences of the Aetós family and so much of what they have been through...❤️🌼🔥
I REALLY LOVE being inside of the dark and twisted part of Vivian Wood’s mind....The worst part of PROVOKE, is waiting for PUNISH....❤️🌼🔥

I need to know more...right now! I really enjoyed getting to know Rue and really want to see where her life goes. This book just whet my appetite. I’m intrigued by the glimpses we got at the hero. Although he is obviously a dark character, his desire to seek revenge for the death of a girl who was important to him, shows there is a heart buried in there, and I want to see how Rue brings it to the light.

Dryas is devastated by his dark past and he numbs the pain and guilt with alcohol and women while looking for vengeance against those who had a hand in it. Rue has spent the last seven years in a convent and is engaged to a prince. She finds out information that shakes her to the core and she needs to escape but is she just going from the frying pan into the fire?

What an enthralling start to a new series which ends on a cliff hanger leaving you wanting more of this intriguing couple.

Olivia Ryann does it again. Gives us a little taste of Dryas Aetós and Rue Büchel, then leaves us hanging and wondering what will happen next. In this really good way, that's makes you want more.

Dryas is an evil man, he's a murderer. His last kill is haunting him though. Making him think of losing the love of his younger life and the person responsible. He wants revenge - will her get it?

Rue is in a convent with the hope of escape. She is to marry a Prince but only to give him an heir. When she sees her escape will she take it?

It's not necessary to read The Cherish Series before The Protect Series but I would recommend doing just that. It's a fantastic series that gives you a little background into who Dryas is and why he is the way he is.

This dramatic prequel follows one of the three Aetos brothers, Dryas. Dryas is in pain. He thinks he has done something terrible and is punishing himself. Dryas is on a revenge mission, and Rue crosses his path. This short sets up what is to come because Rue & Dryas don't really meet. It is going to be scary, because Rue knows what she is running from, but has no idea what is ahead. I know this is all a bit cryptic, but anything more will spoil it for you. It's all going to blow up in Punish, the next book in the series-I can't wait!

Wow! Provoke is the perfect opening shot to this series. Dryas and Rue could not be more different: the devil and the angel. Dryas is after revenge and Rue is looking for a way out of an abusive situation. This story has so many variables and ancillary characters that the possibilities of what could happen in the rest of the Protect series are endless. The anticipation for the rest of their story is really high for me. I can't wait!

Ohhhh!! This book is short but it definitely packs a punch to make me so excited for the rest of the series! I was so intrigued by what was happening that I wanted to throw my kindle at the end because now I have to wait for book 1 to know what happens!

Rue is about to marry a prince, but everything isn’t what it seems. She isn’t treated very well, i was SO mad for her with the treatment that she got from the nuns and Father Derek!

Dryas is a hard man, his soul is black. His interest is sparked when he see’s Rue. And the fact that she is stuck with his arc nemesis will make his mission all the more exhilarating.

I cant wait to see what else Olivia Ryann has in store for us with this series!

Ok, just Wow. I've been waiting for Dryas's story, he's complicated, diabolical, evil and a killer. Well, that's what he tells everyone. He is devastated by a choice he made and is drowning himself in alcohol and a different woman every night. He's reminded daily of the woman he lost and who the person is who had a hand in it. Dryas is on the hunt and will not stop until he gets his justice. We are introduced to Rue, and she is finding out the what she is led to believe isn't quite the truth and now she needs to make a decision and once Dryas gets a look at her, how will he insinuate himself into her life? I guess you all will need to read this for yourself, and buckle up buttercups, because this series is going to rock your world to the core!! Loved it!! Can't get enough of the Aetos brothers!!

Wow!
This prequel to the new series by Olivia Ryann starts very intense and thrilling and promisses lots of twists and turns, excitement and quite some dark events… and ends on the worst cliffhanger ever, lol!
Dryas, the brother of Arsen (of the Cherish series), craves for revenge for the murder of his lover Aurelia…
Rue spent the last seven years with her sister Amabel in a convent and is the bride-to-be for the Prince of Montenegro. On her wedding day she tries to escape this arranged marriage for something she has overheard in a conversation between her future husband and the priest…
I can not wait to learn more about the up-coming events and am impatiently waiting for the next book in the series, Punish! To say that Ms. Ryann has incited my curiosity would be the understatement of the year!
