Who doesn’t love a best friends to lovers romance? Tall, Dark, and Tempting by Erika Wilde proves that sometimes getting your best friend to open his eyes can be frustrating as hell, but well worth it in the end.
Serena Fields and Dylan Stone have been best friends since they were young children and every one in Dylan’s family and all of Serena’s friends have know she has loved him and wanted more for years, but when Dylan’s family life blew up in his teens he knew right then and there that commitment and love were not for him and he worked very hard to keep Serena in the friends column. They’ve both dated other people, him enjoying meaningless flings, and she looking for a Mr. Right that measures up to her best friend, but one crazy night in Vegas has them crossing a line and creating chaos in their perfect friendship.
I have to be real honest here folks, if I were Serena I would have wanted to hit Dylan over the head multiple times during this book. Serena was smart, educated, dedicated to her students, and wanting marriage and a family, something real and stable that her childhood lacked. Dylan said he wanted that for her and kept his distance, but was always there to pick up the pieces when her dates let her down and enjoyed the time they spent together. I felt Dylan while smart was pretty clueless that what they already had was a relationship without the sex but he couldn’t see it or didn’t want to see it. He drove me a bit crazy with the way he butchered several important moments with his lack of tack. I liked Dylan and thought he was a good guy, but seriously clueless and lacking in some social skills. While I did feel these two belonged together and there was no doubting the heat between them, after all Dylan put Serena through he got off easy in my book.
Hallmark movies, ice cream, and two friends finally figuring out that together their life was pretty damn perfect made Tall, Dark and Tempting an entertaining and sexy romance.

Serena has always had a crush on Dylan, but he's too scared to act on his feelings since he doesn't think he can give her the 'fairy tale' she deserves.
One night Serena decides that is now or never, and she goes for the kill. They sleep together, and even though he felt something he's still scared to act on his feelings.
i don't have many feelings towards this book since is so short, but it was a good time.

Tall, dark and Tempting is the 3rd book in the tall, dark, and sexy by Erika Wilde. It is the story of Dylan and Sierra. This is a friends to lovers book.
My thoughts:
This book was so disappointing!! I was really looking forward to their story. Both characters were so infuriating!! Dylan was a real a**hole. Sierra came across as desperate, pathetic, and like she just wanted to trap a man. I wanted to take their heads and knock them together...killing two birds with one stone. This didn’t feel like a love story!! I think because when a book is only 133 pages, and most of it is spent reading the couple arguing and pushing each other away...even when they get their happy ever after...it’s not really satisfying. Siiigh

Very SWEET novel featuring a jealous clueless best friend but I thought the ending was rushed so I had to take a star off. I still adored the angst in this one!!! I am so glad I continued reading this one.

Tall, Dark and Tempting was absolutely my favorite book in this series! I also am super excited for the upcoming spin-off series from Erika Wilde and Carly Phillips. Two of my favorite authors writing another series of books together puts me in my happy place! I highly recommend this book to all readers who love contemporary romances!

Erika Wilde is an author who has caught my attention on a number of occasions, yet I’ve only read one of her books when she’s writing with Carly Phillips. Rock Solid, the Erika Wilde and Carly Phillips book I have read, was really enjoyable and I’ve been meaning to read more of both authors since, yet Tall, Dark and Tempting was the first chance I got to dive into more of either.
Although Tall, Dark and Tempting is the third book in a series, it works perfectly fine as a standalone novel. We got to see the characters from the prior books – and I’m now interested in going back to find out more about them – but it is not necessary to have read their stories to understand this one.
With Tall, Dark and Tempting offering up the friends to lovers trope, one I really enjoy, I was eager to dive into this one. In the end, though, I had rather mixed feelings about this one. Some parts I really enjoyed, other parts I found to be lacking. There were times when I thought this one could receive a four-star rating, but in the end I couldn’t quite bring myself to do so. Thus, this is a rounded down three-point-five-star read.
I think my biggest issue is this one didn’t quite have the depth I would have liked for the story. When it comes to tropes that are really popular, you need to wow me to win me over. With this one, things felt rather basic. I prefer much more depth, and Tall, Dark and Tempting didn’t have enough to wow me.
Nevertheless, it was enjoyable for a quick read. It’s also left me intrigued about the next Erika Wilde and Carly Phillips series – The Boyfriend Experience. Total Package, the first book in the series, is going to tell the story of one of the side characters that interested me in this one, and I’m excited to see how the story plays out.

You know what? I am not happy with the story. Dylan needed to get his head out of his arse before the 50% so he and Serena could have some parts where they are in a happy relationship. Her dating three different men for more than once in a 133-page long book is not my thing. There is no space for Dylan and I don't think that's her fault. The dude kept pushing and pushing her away so much he managed to get on my strongly dislike list for a while. I have been waiting for this story, for what seems like forever and I just wanted them to spend some time together and in love. Like the scene on his couch in chapter one, without the bad date talk. Dylan is using the excuse "Can't have her, so I will sleep with everyone else" and Serena is doing almost the same, but she is looking for a happy ending longterm instead of a short one like him. The lack of romance between these two ruined the whole book for me. The third guy Serena dated seemed like a good who was good enough and could have stolen her away from Dylan, which is something that I might have hoped for, for a moment. The book overall though wasn't so horrible and I feel like 3 stars is a justified rating.

The third Stone brother has finally fallen! Dylan is convinced he is not meant for love, real love, the kind where you have one person for the rest of your life to come home to. His best friend since forever, literally since toddlers, Serena, that is all she wants...someone to love and to love her and babies. She is on a mission to find that someone but not having any luck and after every disaster ends up on Dylan's couch with Ben & Jerry's ice cream and watching the Hallmark channel love movies. She is harboring a secret though, she has been in love with Dylan for years. After one more disappointing date Dylan comes up with an idea, she and a girlfriend can accompany him and Eric to Vegas on a business trip and have a "palate cleanser." Who knew that would end up being with him! After that, the morning after changes everything, will they find their way back to a new normal or will they be over? Will they finally come to the realization they are meant for each other? This was so good and definitely worth any Hallmark comparison! Oh, how the mighty do fall...

We finally get to read Dylan and Serena's story. I haven't read many "friends to lovers" stories but I really loved this one. Dylan's love for Serena is very obvious and equally, her love for him. Instead of telling each other this, they tip toe around it, until one night changes everything between them. At this point, I really wanted to reach through the book and smack Dylan upside the head. From the very first, I was rooting for this couple to finally get their act together. I loved getting caught up with the characters from the first two books and seeing how things were going for them. This was a great book that will pull the reader in and won't let them go!

I love friends to love romance and this one will make you swoon like a hallmark movie! Serena has loved her best friend Dylan since she was little. Trying to find a guy is hard and Serena just can’t find the one when she knows her best friend is. Dylan doesn’t do relationships after dealing with his family. But he’s secretly in love with his best friend Serena and knows she deserves better. Will Dylan open his heart or will it all come shattering down? A perfect romance story to read around the holidays to make you smile and warm your heart. 5/5 stars

Finally we have Dylan and Serena's story. They may have began their relationship as children on the playground but over the years it has changed. Yes they are still best friends but they feel and see each other in a different light. I also loved the supporting cast of characters ! I truly enjoy the friends to lovers genre and they did not disappoint ! Sexy, Funny and heart warming !!!

Dylan and Serena’s story finally end out the series. Cute and sweet, friends to lovers troupe. A little cliche but a great palette cleanser if nothing else.
I liked how Serena finally challenged Dylan about their feeling for each other. It was the only way to get him to act on those feelings.
Dylan’s possessive act around guys Serena was dating was funny, but she had to check him about this too.

First of all...this cover...oh holy hotness (fanning myself)! If I was Serena I would have been smitten forever as well.
Tall, Dark and Tempting is a fun, sweet, best friends to lovers novel. It completely has its tongue-in-cheek moments, as it references the clicheness of Hallmark movies, but since Serena adores watching them, Dylan can't help using them as his framework for romance, so to speak.
The sweetness of their long time friendship is infectious, but it's not to be overshadowed by the sizzling chemistry that lies between them. Each Tall, Dark and Sexy book has only gotten better and the follow ups on each family member, along with the look ahead for what's next was perfect.

I loved every single thing about Tall, Dark and Tempting! The best friends to lovers troupe is absolutely one of my favorites and Ms. Wilde did an amazing job with it.
I knew when we first met Serena and Dylan they were perfect for each other. The fact they had grown up as best friends, yet both developed bigger feelings and never shared those feelings with each other for years had me laughing out loud. I loved Dylan stocked Serena’s favorite ice cream for when some guy she dated turned out to be an idiot.
When they finally give into their attraction to one another, they are so freaking hot together!!!! I mean I seriously loved their chemistry together. Of course the fact that there is a bit of freak out on both their parts after about broke my heart. They finally had each shown their true feelings for each other but fear of loss of friendship almost ruined their relationship for good.
I loved that Serena was willing to push for more first. Because of all that happened with Dylan’s parents, I knew his fears were irrational, but felt his fear and pain still. I will say the phrase”go big or go home” was totally part of Dylan’s plan once he needed to fix his screw up. OMG I cried all the happy tears as he showed Serena how much he loved her. Seriously make sure you have your tissues handy.
Tall, Dark and Tempting was absolutely my favorite book in this series! I also am super excited for the upcoming spin-off series from Erika Wilde and Carly Phillips. Two of my favorite authors writing another series of books together puts me in my happy place! I highly recommend this book to all readers who love contemporary romances!

Tall, Dark and Tempting is a steamy little friends to lovers story that will give you a serious case of the feels and have your tablet overheating... these two set fire to the pages! Having previously met these characters I knew a little about them, so I was excited to see how their little love connection would play out, and boy was I happy with what I found! Their story was brimming with passion, emotion, drama, and of course the aforementioned heat... which these two have in spades. Overall I'd say it was well rounded tale, the story line was satisfying and engaging, and the characters came with a real feel quality that made them easy to connect to. Highly recommend!!

I loved reading Dylan and Serena’s amazing story in , Dark, and Tempting by Erika Wilde, book three in her Tall, Dark, and Sexy Series. This steamy and hot story drew me in with its best friends to lover trope. Dylan and Serena have been best friends their entire life, the only person who truly understood and saw the other. Always there for each other, in good and bad times. Serena wore her feelings on her sleeve, making everyone aware of how see felt and cared about for Dylan. Dylan, being a man, kept his attraction secret, worried that if he crossed the line and acted on those feelings or thoughts it would change their friendship.
Serena wanted a happy ever after relationship and knew that was so not Dylan’s thing. Yet, Dylan was always there for her after each and every time disaster hit with the guy she was dating; ready with a pint of her favorite ice cream, a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear, and the Hallmark channel ready to be watched. How could you not love a man who would watch Hallmark movies while you ate your favorite ice cream. This was the perfect situation until one night in Vegas changes everything. Not everything that happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Dylan will need to figure out how to come to terms with his love for Serena or live life without her.
Ms. Wilde wrote a wonderful, sexy story; filled with sexual chemistry, fun dialogue, and endearing characters. I really loved Dylan and Serena, flaws and all. I highly recommend Tall, Dark, and Tempting to other readers.

Best friends to lovers. Sigh. One of my absolute favorite tropes. Two people who have known and cared for each other for years slowly realizing that there’s more between them … swoon! Even though sometimes it takes quite some time for said best friend to see what’s right in front of him – because that’s exactly the frustrating situation Serena Fields has to deal with in Erika Wilde’s Tall, Dark and Tempting.
Serena has loved Dylan Stone for years – and everyone around her is aware of that – only Dylan is determined to keep her in the friend zone, because he simply knows love and commitment are not for him… While he is having countless meaningless affairs, Serena struggles to find the one for herself – because no other man seems to be what she’s looking for: an exact clone of Dylan…
Dylan. Seriously. That man needs a smack on the head – or several to be honest. He was the person who was always there for Serena, whenever she needed him, in any possible situation, quite like a partner would be: affectionate and caring. The only thing missing was them being actually physical and expressing their feelings for their friendship to be so much more. Any chance he got, he ruined opportunities and important moments, not seeing – or rather not wanting to finally admit the truth. It drove me mad! all, Dark and Tempting focuses on the youngest Stone sibling, Dylan. Like his older brothers, Dylan has a lot of emotional baggage stemming from his father’s abandonment of their mother at the time when she needed him the most. Believing himself incapable of a long-term committed relationship he has kept Serena firmly in the friend zone all of their lives.
Despite his brilliant impersonation of obliviousness, Dylan is fully aware of Serena’s feelings for him, but his lack of belief in himself prevents him from returning her affections in the way Serena’s hopes for. I honestly don’t know how I feel about Dylan knowing Serena had deep feelings for him, alongside his attraction to her, yet keeping her in the friend zone as a way to remain close to her without the possibility of hurting her in the same way his father hurt his mother. It seems rather selfish to be honest.
Serena is adorable and I loved how she valued herself enough to go after the relationship she dreamed of and deserved.

Fast-paced, steamy and delightful! Dylan and Serena are really easy to connect with right from the start in this story. He's supporting her as she hunts for Mr. Right, all the while enjoying the scenery along the way. She's tired of all of the frogs she's having to kiss on the way towards her Prince. The characters were believable and fairly well developed, and the story line in general was pretty spot on. I felt like the ending was a bit rushed though and we could have used a little more development of their unfolding relationship together. Overall a very enjoyable read!

Tall, Dark and Tempting is the first solo book I’ve read from this author and it definitely won’t be my last! This story is a best friends-to lovers romance novel that was fantastic. Ms. Wilde completely sucked me into this fictional world and I never wanted to come back out!
Serena and Dylan have been best friends since they were younger. They’ve relied on each other for everything. From Serena dating duds to family drama, she always runs to Dylan. And vice versa. Dylan has commitment phobia and chooses to keep having one night stands so he doesn’t get hurt. But both of them are keeping secrets. Though he loves his best friend, he knows there is no way he can give her everything she wants and deserves. When one night changes the course of their friendship, will they be able to deal with the after effects? Or will one of them walk away for good?
I loved this story sooooo much! The writing was excellent, it flowed well, and the characters were realistic. Dylan and Serena’s chemistry was explosive and I was rooting for them to get their happy ever after! I can’t wait to read more from this author!!!

Until a weekend in Vegas forces them both to open their eyes.
A short and not so sweet... friends to lovers romance. I wasn’t the enamoured with either of the main characters.
Dylan was ‘for a smart guy’ quite dense when it came to Serena’s feelings despite know how she felt for him... and Serena came across a little dare I say desperate in her search for the ‘love of her life’, moving on to her next date... to then demand all or nothing from Dylan! Which just rubbed me a little the wrong way.

If you have been reading about Erika's series about the Stone brothers then you know these two characters. Dylan is the young brother and Serena is his best friend. The last of the Stone brothers gets his book and it's really good. Dylan and Serena have been best friends since they were really young children. Serena did not have a stable family life and spent a lot of time with Dylan's. Dylan was oblivious when Serena started having feelings for Dylan in high school but then soon realized his thoughts were going into the non friend zone so he put up some barriers. Regardless these two remained the best of friends through college and starting their careers as well as their deplorable dating adventures. Serena puts her feelings for Dylan aside as she knows he does not want to commit due to issues in his past and she wants the whole fairy tale of falling in love, marriage and kids. Dylan takes incredible care of Serena though when her dates fall flat. But a weekend away for them changes everything. This book is cute and funny, especially Dylan's attempts at trying to show dominance and "get the girl". Serena is a true romantic but she is also strong and takes charge of her sexuality which makes their chemistry even hotter. Everyone has a part in this book which is so fun, Aiden & Daisy, Leo & Peyton, Grace & Charles and Eric and Chelsey are the best. The HEA epilogue reads like a Hallmark Movie and sets up for Eric's story which should be great!
