Got what I was looking for at this time. Are my standards too high or these kind of men are not exactly what I say gentlemanly? Yes. Eric was really nice and not a complete ass to advice but it does not mean he’s an “amazing book boyfriend”. Honestly I feel like the standard of being a human itself is quite low that we have put faith in people that are slightly kind even. Just me being cynical, so don’t let this stop you from reading this book. As far as romcom goes this is a solid and quick read.

***5 ‘I Want to Kiss You’ Stars***

If you’re looking for a fun, flirty, smexy read with a lot of heart, minimal drama and some great characters thrown into the mix, then this one is a must read. I was just going to take a peek at the first chapter or so...yeah, about 2 hrs later and I’m here writing up a review because I couldn’t put it down (I should have because of that #workthing...but) and really wish there were more words to read.

I adored Evie and Eric. Evie is the kind of person you’d want to be friends with. She’s vivacious, compassionate and sassy and has a golden heart that shines through in everything she does Eric has that thing, that...charisma, charm, confidence that just draws you in because you can feel just how genuine it is and combined with an alpha nature that comes out at just the right time...well, the man is simply lethal.

Their journey to their HEA is all kinds of fun. From the moment they meet, the sparks fly and though things happen quickly, they bond they formed felt real. They complimented each other perfectly and they just fit. There is a bit of a bump in the road, it wasn’t an unexpected one, but I have to say that I loved how it all worked out in the end.

I’ve read books by this writing duo before and they did not disappoint with this one. It’s a quick read but it hit all the right emotional buttons for me from start to finish. And as for the supporting cast of characters, I ADORED Evie’s family ~ well, with the exception of two ~ they were all kinds of goodness and really did bring a lot of good times to this baby. So, if you’re looking for a romance that’ll leave you with sore cheeks from smiling so much, as well as them being a little pink from the smexy, then this one is a definite must read for you!

THE BOYFRIEND EXPERIENCE by Carly Phillips & Erika Wilde is book One in The Boyfriend Experience Series. This is the story of Evie Bennett and Eric Miller.
Evie is tired of the talk about her ex who cheated on her and the long faces about her dating life. So when friends points her toward the Boyfriend Experience app to use to get a temp boyfriend to take to a family event to avoid the talk that would happen if she came alone. Eric who doesn't have issues with getting women but he does feel the pull of what his friends have. When he learns that they have put a profile up of him on the Boyfriend Experience app he becomes curious of who is looking. This leads him to meet feisty Evie who makes him feel more than he ever has before. Evie is shocked by Eric who did show up for their first meeting, he is more than she thought.
Cute and fun romance that I really enjoyed....can't wait for more from these authors!!

***ARC Provided by the Authors***

I am not always a fan of books where one of the characters is keeping something major from the other, but in this case it worked and I enjoyed it. I loved that Eric was helping Evie out not because he really was an escort on the app, but because he liked her and genuinely wanted to help her out.

It also helps make their chemistry more believable, I think, to know that he's not really an escort, but rather someone who is with her because he wants to be. The evolution of the story is predictable, but, well, it's a romance and that's not always a bad thing. In this case, the fun of getting to the happy ending is what makes it worth reading.

Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde write excellent stories together (which makes sense as they are excellent authors on their own) and I am always excited to pick up one of their joint titles as I know it's going to be fun, sexy, and worth the read.

I enjoyed and recommend this title.

After reading and enjoying Erika Wilde’s Tall, Dark, and Tempting, I was left curious about The Boyfriend Experience. We were introduced to the male lead, and I was left wanting more. Moreover, I have previously enjoyed work that came from Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde working together, so I had high hopes.

In truth, The Boyfriend Experience is more of a three-point-five-star rating. It was fun, it had me turning the pages, it put a smile on my face, and I happily devoured it. However, I feel as though it did not quite have the depth I was looking for. Sure, there were plenty of things involved in this story – we got to deal with a lot of things – but most were dealt with at the surface level and did not have the depth I had been hoping for.

I think my problem is I’m accustomed to more depth and expected more from these authors working together. It was fun, but too insta for my liking, hence why I could not round my rating up. I’m sure there are many who will really enjoy this one, but it wasn’t quite all I had hoped for.

Nevertheless, I am curious about what more could come from The Boyfriend Experience as a series.

Kept waiting for this to get better...it didn’t. Corny. Cringe worthy and just boring. No spark between the main characters...definitely a fairy tale...hairdresser who constantly gets dumped finds a gorgeous rich business owner who falls for her in a weekend. Lots of telling...little in the moment. It was just bad.

This is my first review by both Carly Phillips & Erika Wilde together! I appreciate the ARC & have been looking forward to reading this since signing up!

Evie's relationship, or lack of, is the talk of the salon. Her two-timing asshole of an ex, was the worst. After such bad experience in the dating department, she is lost. So her good friends set her up, as in on an app. Temporary boyfriend for hire..sounds about right, nothing can go wrong at her family-reunion now!

Eric just wants to hang out with his best friend and brothers again, with them being happily in love and other obligations he has been feeling a bit down. When his friends tells him what they had done, involving an app...he goes crazy, except one profile seems to catch his eye. Little did he know, he didn't have much of a choice to begin with. Very interesting!

When they meet at the cafe it is SO MUCH FUNN! Eric realizes the woman he is meeting does something to him, where Evie was shocked it he showed up, not to mention the feelings she was feeling around him. The coolest thing is what he does for a living, i always used to think that would be one of the best ways to make it big because it's needed so much!! But in her fake-relationship he is a social worker of course. While they get to know each other a little, they both seem to feel that spark between them but neither will of course admit it, because what person wants to admit that first.

What i loved about this story is how smooth the writing and transitions were, it was truly a joy and fun to read. The characters were all lovable, maybe Eric at one point or another NOT but breathe easy he redeems himself ladies. His backstory will have you...just, have tissues ready! Oh my heart!! All in all, maybe a little traditional but not ordinary, it has a little bit of everything!

I am rating this a 5 & highly recommended! Made it on my TOP 2019 MUST READ list!

Wow, seriously, wow! I am so in love with The Boyfriend Experience by Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde! This is exactly what I look for in a romance; it was cheeky fun, panty melting sexy, a hint of conflict to keep things interesting, and so much smoldering sensuality.

Successful business owner Evie Bennett needs a boyfriend for a family reunion so when one of her clients recommends The Boyfriend Experience she’s a bit hesitant until she comes upon Eric Miller’s profile. She doesn’t know Eric’s friend put him up on the site and he intends to tell her when he meets her that he’s doesn’t intend to be her “boyfriend” but once he sees her and spends just a few minutes with her he decides a weekend with Evie presents all kinds of interesting possibilities.

Snap, crackle, pop...the sizzling chemistry between Evie and Eric was apparent from the first time they laid eyes on one another and I couldn’t wait to see how their relationship would play out. I was amazed at how easily Evie opened up to Eric and honestly I have to think this helped her get out of her own way and allow Eric to see the real her. There was no pretense, she was herself from the start and he was enamored with her openness. They went into their arrangement knowing it was short lived and this allowed them to just live in the moment something they both needed.

I appreciated how easily Evie and Eric communicated, their conversations went from sweet, to emotional, to seductive and when Evie’s family got involved downright hysterical. Eric rolled with everything her family threw out him and I loved that he enjoyed their craziness.

The sexiness factor was off the charts and as always this writing duo did not disappoint giving their characters and readers everything they want and need.

Authors Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde deliver up an exciting, sexy, and satisfying romance in The Boyfriend Experience; this is a must read for romance fans!

This is just not my cup of tea. I thought there’d be some depth when we met his mother and learned of his sister’s death. Like, maybe his Rico Suavé act was just a front? But, nope. His cheesy lines are barftastic. His innuendo isn’t sexy, it’s 12 year old boy material. I can already tell this is going to be way too explicit. They haven’t even kissed yet, and I’m already being informed of boners and throbbing. It’s actually kind of silly. I quit.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review.
Evie Bennett needs a boyfriend and quick. Since her last boyfriend turned out to be a dud, she needs someone to pretend to be her boyfriend for a family weekend. And that is all she is looking for. When her friend suggest an app to find a pretend boyfriend, Evie thinks it sounds like the perfect idea.
Eric Miller isn't looking for a girlfriend or a long term relationship. He is not that type of guy. When he finds out that his friend has adding him to his "Boyfriend Experience" app, he just wants to be removed. But when he meets Evie to tell her it was a mistake he was on the app, he finds himself drawn to her. She is sexy, sassy and might be a little fun that he needs.
What neither of them expect is how easy they find it to be around each other. And when Eric meets her parents he can't believe how laid back they are. He ends up having a great time with her and the rest of her family and he wants to spend more time with her.
Can Eric give Evie a relationship that she wants? Will Evie be able to move past Eric if things don't work out? Will the Boyfriend Experience turn in to something more?
I really enjoyed this story and loved the time Eric and Evie spent with her family, her parents left me laughing until I was crying. This story is funny, sad, heartfelt and in the end will leaving you loving it. I hope you enjoy it too.

5 star review The Boyfriend Experience (The Boyfriend Experience #1) by Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde

Eric Miller isn’t looking for a long term relationship, in fact he doesn’t believe in them at all thanks to his past. He is a firm believer in the love them and leave them philosophy.

Evie Bennett is in dire need of a boyfriend to accompany her to her family reunion. Evie is a feisty and independent woman who I loved. She just cannot stand the thought of attending the reunion on her own after she is dumped by her boyfriend. Evie’s co workers suggest she use a new app called The Boyfriend Experience and she completes the questions and waits to see the choices she is given.

Eric has no idea that a friend has signed him up to The Boyfriend Experience app and is far from happy when he finds out. However when Evie chooses Eric’s profile he is intrigued and decides not to dismiss it out of hand.

This was a fun read, well written with the writing is so seamless that I have no idea where one author finished and the other took over. The characters are great and the chemistry between Eric and Evie was scorching; not to mention the secondary characters were awesome and I hope to read more about them in the future.

I do believe that Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde has another winning series on their hands.

5 STAR Review by Jodi for Ruby Red Romance Review

This story was everything and I wanted and so, so much more. Evie was such an amazing woman. I loved her strength and her determination. She had a crap time finding a man to love her for her. I don't get why she had such bad luck. She's amazing, but now she needs to find someone to take to a family reunion. Her friends recommend the app, Boyfriend Experience.

Eric doesn't do relationships. Things from his past have made him believe they aren't possible. I hated how jaded he was, but I got it. When his friends sign him up for the Boyfriend Experience, he isn't too happy, until he sees Evie's profile. Now he wants to know more about this woman.

I loved these two. I loved their chemistry. Ericka Wilde and Carly Phillips do an amazing job telling this story. I loved falling in love with Eric and Evie. I love how seamlessly this story flows.

I’m a big fan of the fake relationship trope, so I jumped at the chance to read The Boyfriend Experience. The story centres around Evie and Eric, the former needing a boyfriend to accompany her to a family reunion so as to ward off pitying looks from her family after a recent breakup.

This was a very light-touch romance, perfect for a mental diversion. While heavy topics were introduced, including bullying and the loss of family, it didn’t sink down into the darker feelings too much. I particularly enjoyed the easy chemistry between Evie and Eric, with lots of flirting and just enough confidence from each of them without edging into arrogance.

I just wish there was more. The actual weekend went by so quickly, with only a few activities played out in any kind of detail. These could have been filled out more to show more facets of not just the couple, but also the rest of Evie’s family. We could have had more banter, more humour, more shenanigans, more everything to make the quick progression of Evie and Eric’s relationship believable. Because, as it stands, the insta-love in this had me suspicious rather than invested.

But it was still a fun and engaging diversion, easy on the brain on a long work day that involved flying to and from another country.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was so short, so insta-love, so lacking in tension.
While the sex was steamy, the guy Eric came on to Evie (imho) REALLY strong! At least twice Evie was like 'oh, that should be sending up a red flag, but he's so hottttt' and it was creepy/too much too fast.

This was so fun, and sweet, and sexy. I really loved it. 4.5 Stars.

Evie Bennett, was cheated on, and broke up with her boyfriend. Again. Why does this keep happening to her? How can she have the worst taste in men ever?? And now, to avoid going to a family reunion single, yet again, she might be making another mistake, by hiring a fake boyfriend from a new app called the Boyfriend Experience. Evie is a hairdresser, and co-owner of her own salon. One of her clients offered up the idea to use the app, and she decided, why not? No feelings involved and she'll get everything she needs out of the interaction. Sign her up.

Eric Miller has no interest in a serious relationship, given his family history. He sometimes pursues women when the mood strikes him, but they all know the score ahead of time. He's not ever going to settle down. It wouldn't be fair, and no one can convince him otherwise. When his good friend, and creator of the app the Boyfriend Experience, signs him up for the beta testing against his wishes, and sets up a meeting for him with a potential client, he can't stomach the idea of cancelling on the woman. But, he never expects meeting Evie, or the changes she'll bring about in his life.

Evie and Eric had magical chemistry from the start, and watching their sexy banter was super fun. I loved their witty and fun back-and-forth, and the way they settled into each other's thoughts, and lives, so easily. A chance meeting, through an app that hasn't even fully launched yet, and insane chemistry in real life? What are the chances that ever happens again? They had to take it for everything they could. Even if it hurt in the end.

Evie's family was an absolute, crazy delight. Her brother and his boyfriend were hysterical, and her sex positive parents were embarrassingly hilarious too. I loved getting to know them. And boy was her cousin a piece of work! What a terrible, selfish person! Eric's friends were fun, and entertaining as well. Eric's mom on the other hand was so somber, and I really hurt for her situation, while simultaneously blaming her for everything that was going wrong in Eric's life, and the way she had retreated from him. His story was truly heartbreaking, and it brought me to tears more than once.

I loved how Evie and Eric truly fit into each other's lives so perfectly. They really came to understand each other and love the other person deeply. They loved each others' flaws and imperfections as much as they did they great things about each other, and it was magical watching them explore that fragile, new connection. Pretty much my only complaint was that I really wanted to know how they handled telling her awesome parents the truth after everything. I think this should've been touched on later, and I would've loved to see it. But, this book made me laugh, and cry, and sigh, and swoon, and I loved it. I highly recommend it.

I enjoyed each book in the Tall, Dark and Sexy series written solely by Erika Wilke. Each one is a standalone, but even better when they are read together, especially when leading into this new series.  The final book in the Tall, Dark and Sexy series ended with Dylan (the inventor of the Boyfriend Experience app) adding Eric Miller to the beta pool, unbeknownst to Eric himself, thus kicking off this fantastic book. Again, you don't need to read the other books, but why not because they are also a lot of fun.

This new series co-written by Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde of the Boyfriend Experience is just delicious. It is filled with great chemistry between Evie and Eric, good friends, wacky parents, and just enough heart to make this one of my favorites in the world that Erika originally created.

Eric Miller is a proclaimed bachelor, for his own heartbreaking reasons (I hate to divulge because it's truly a moment you need to experience for yourself). So, Mr. Non-relationship has always kept things shallow and he likes things that way. No one gets hurt and things never get messy.

When Evie Bennett needs a boyfriend for an upcoming family reunion (again her reasons for needing one is a journey you need to personally take) but at face value she's doing it because her recent ex is a cheating scumbag and she doesn't want to show up to the reunion alone. A plus for the man she picks, Eric Miller has the same first name as her traitorous ex, so at least she won't botch up his name all weekend.

The flaws to Eric's plan in deciding to say yes: Eric never signed up to be an actual boyfriend on the dating site. His friend, Dylan, added his profile to the beta test pool-jokingly-soft of. Plus Eric doesn't do relationships, only casual, but when he meets Evie, all those reasons fly out the window as feelings begin to take root where feelings shouldn't be. Meeting her parents, spending the weekend relaxed in the arms of a beautiful woman, he feels...he feels...what? How can he explain all of this to Evie, when he can hardly explain it to himself? Should he tell Evie he's really not a fake boyfriend and should he tell her that he likes her, but he can't like her? Maybe he'll just keep his mouth shut and enjoy the weekend.

Evie knows by using this app and taking Eric with her this is only a temporary relationship. Eric is upfront that he doesn't do permanent, but he is really good at his "job" and makes her feel desired for the first time ever. She is going to make sure he gets a glowing recommendation on the app site even though the thought of losing him hurts. Not one to sit back, she goes all in for the weekend and takes every advantage of the boyfriend experience. Eric is a risk she is willing to take, even if it is temporary.

“I thought it would be fun and nothing serious . . . but I never counted on you getting under my skin, Evie.”

Evie Bennett thinks her friends are crazy when they suggest she try out a new boyfriend-for-hire app to find a date for her upcoming family reunion. But she hates the idea of showing up solo and hiring a stranger to accompany her to her family event sounds less painful than having to explain to everyone that she was recently dumped. Eric Miller has never done relationships but has never had trouble getting girls so he isn’t pleased to discover that his friends signed him up with a profile on their new The Boyfriend Experience App. He’s especially annoyed when his friend actually replies to the first message that Eric receives from a woman looking for his services but he’s not a jerk so he decides to meet with the woman. When he meets Evie he’s intrigued enough by her plight to actually agree to go along with her and play her boyfriend for the weekend in front of her family. They hit it off right away and put on a pretty convincing act for Evie’s family – but what will they do when they realize that the feelings they’re developing aren’t an act at all?

I picked this book up a few weeks back when it was on sale for free, the blurb sounded good and let’s be honest, who can resist a free book? I’m glad I gave it a chance because I thought it was a really sweet and sexy story and it actually had quite a bit more heart than I was expecting. I wasn’t sure what to expect from Eric at first, he came across as kind of a player in our first encounter but before long we see that he really is a nice guy and he’s had a pretty heartbreaking past which explains his stance on relationships. I really liked him with Evie. He may not have signed up to be a part of the dating app but he really stepped up for Evie while they were with her family. It was nice seeing Evie’s confidence build back up again too. She’s had a few bad relationships that did a number on her but Eric helped her realize that she was pretty amazing and that any guy should feel lucky to be with her. Most of the book was sweet and steamy but there was a bit of angst surrounding Eric’s stance on relationships even despite the feelings he’s developed for Evie. I enjoyed how everything wrapped up though! If you’re looking for an easy read that’s very sexy but will also give you plenty of feels, you should consider this one!

“As pretend boyfriend material, the man was good. Really good.”

Evie needs a boyfriend. Immediately. With the holiday approaching, and her family annual vacations tradition, she can not show up single again. Enduring the looks of pity and condescending words is more than she can handle at the moment. The truth is that she has no luck in love, and does not know how to choose her boyfriends well. Not recognizing the warning signs and getting cheated on is her signature.
Unless a boyfriend materializes in front of her, she will have to face this vacation by herself. But a client's proposal to sign up for her brother-in-law's app, which is still in the testing phase, could be her lifeline. Who would have thought that hiring a fake boyfriend with just one click was exactly what she needed.
Eric does not have the faintest idea that his friend has signed up him in his app. When he receives a notification of a woman interested in his services, he is surprised. By confronting his friend, he is challenged to face the situation. After all, what harm is there in meeting and helping a beautiful girl?
On their first meeting, the attraction between the two is immediate and Eric decides to accept the proposal. One week. A family reunion. A fake date. And the barrier between lie and truth falling to the ground.
The app that names the book is responsible for bringing this couple together. But it's the conviviality, the closeness, the real life that will make these two fall in love. The book is not very long, bet on a cliche well known to develop its plot, relies on a couple that works well together and creates funny and cute situations. Both Evie and Eric have reasons to run away from relationships, but falling in love is inevitable. Issues such as grief, loss, betrayal, envy and low self-esteem are also addressed.
If you are looking for something to have fun, spend time and have a good laugh, this experience is for you.

When Evie needs a date to her family's Fourth of July weekend, her friend tells her about the new Boyfriend Experience app. Eric is less than thrilled when a notification from the Boyfriend Experience appears on his phone, considering he didn't even realize the app had been installed on his phone. And he's even less thrilled when he finds out his friend Dylan was behind the little prank. But somehow he's convinced to show up to their first meeting, and cannot believe his eyes (and his luck) when Evie turns out to be sweet and gorgeous with curves that take his mind to dangerous places. But, as Eric and Evie get to know each other and forge a connection, the walls Eric has built around himself are in full force, and he deflects any attempts Evie makes at getting him to bare his soul a little. A tragedy in his life has left him convinced he can't, won't, ever know love, so he doesn't even want to attempt anything beyond casual. Will Evie be the woman to thaw his heart and break down his walls?

Surprisingly and beautifully emotional, The Boyfriend Experience checked off all my must-haves for the best romances: layered, lovable hero and heroine with palpable chemistry, moving, engaging story line, and a great secondary cast. Whenever Carly and Erika cowrite their stories, I know I'm in for a treat, and once again (as always) they've written a story that will stay with me even now that I'm done reading. I can't wait for more from them!

I'm already a fan of this writing duo. Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde have not steered me wrong when it comes to tall, dark, and handsome men. I was so excited to read a fake relationship romance. I found The Boyfriend Experience to be not only sweet but sexy in an "I'm rooting for this couple" type of way. I wanted them together whether they were side by side holding hands or passionately in bed.

I found Evie Bennet to be that person that wears her heart on her sleeve, there for everyone, and strong enough to get through a family reunion on her own. The fact that she hires a fake boyfriend so that she didn't have to deal with facing an annoying family member, her ex-boyfriend and hundreds of questions on why she's still single proved to me that she could handle anything. I love that Evie can stay true to her heart and the person that she is, the downfall to that is not walking away with a broken heart.

Eric Miller has sworn off relationships, all he can think of is protecting his heart and keeping others away from his own personal family issues. His friend registers him on a dating app where a woman can find a temporary boyfriend for hire. Eric is not too happy about this until he sets his sight on the sexy hairdresser that is interested in him for a family event. Accepting a four day weekend as a fake boyfriend may be the best decision he has ever made.

I loved everything about this story. I could feel the heart of the characters pouring off the pages. It's a fun, sweet, sexy and heartbreaking story with memorable secondary characters. I feel giddy writing this review, that's how much I enjoyed this story.

It's a 5 Star Must Read!

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

This is the first in a new series, and should be a lot of fun if this story is anything to go by!

Eric Miller's friends sign him up as a beta tester for their new hire a boyfriend app - and they even agree on his behalf for him to go on a coffee 'date'. He is not impressed at all, but good manners mean he goes to the meeting.

Evie is a really lovely person, and having been persuaded to think about hiring someone for a weekend to stop her family questioning her being alone again, particularly her hateful cousin Raquel. So when she meets Eric, she decided that he would definitely fit the bill, and maybe this wasn't such a crazy idea after all.

It is a lot of fun watching the two of them recognise that they have excellent chemistry and similar life values, and yet have to acknowledge that this is meant to be a business transaction. Eric somewhat damages the concept when he tells her what he wants as a form of payment for the weekend of pretending to be her boyfriend. As we watch them break down the rules, and reset them repeatedly, as well as see the competitive nature that both of them enjoy at the family weekend, the pages turn ever quicker.

Phillips always tells a good story, and I really enjoyed this one from the very first page. I am looking forward to future installments.

Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde have once again made book magic with The Boyfriend Experience. I honestly wanted to start reading this book all over again as soon as I finished reading it the first time.

If readers have read Erika Wilde's Tall, Dark, and Sexy series of books, Eric Miller is friends with the Stone brothers in that series and was added to beta pool of boyfriends in the Boyfriend Experience App by the creator Dylan Stone as a bit of a joke. The fact that Dylan never told Eric only made it funnier when Eric had his first match with Evie Bennett. Eric really is such an upstanding guy, he really did plan to meet Evie and let her know he wasn't available...and then he met her in person and knew he couldn't let her go yet.

Evie is hands down one of the sweetest and nicest characters I've ever met. She has the biggest heart ever and loves helping others and tries to see the best in everyone else. As she had already told her family she was bringing her boyfriend Eric to the annual family reunion, she is on the hunt for a fake boyfriend thanks to discovering her ex is a cheating jerk. Luck is on her side when she selects Eric Miller for her temporary boyfriend. Partly because he has the same first name as her ex, but mostly because they have a connection from the very first moment they meet for coffee.

I loved Evie and Eric together! OMG they had amazing chemistry from the very beginning and they seemed to each accept the other from the beginning as well. While they were both attracted to each other immediately, it was like they both knew in the beginning to not expect more than just friendship going forward. Eric was honest about being a confirmed bachelor, and Evie really did just need someone to help her out of a jam. I loved seeing Evie and Eric both share more about their pasts the more time they spent together. I have to say I had major anger issues with some of what Evie shared and needed tissues when Eric shared some of his past. So many emotions pulled from me as I read this story!

Eric and Evie worked so well for me as a couple. Evie's family was so very welcoming and accepting of Eric and I loved Evie's immediate family. Her parents and her brother absolutely cracked me up. I loved every moment they appeared on the page. I loved seeing Eric and Evie grow even closer as they were away for her family reunion. Their chemistry only got stronger the more time they were together and when they finally made love, it steamed up my kindle screen. I totally could tell they had real feelings for each other, yet could also tell Eric had major reservations about relationships because of his past. I love when the hero pretty much has to be hit over the head to realize he is fighting what he truly wants in his life, and Eric went all in. However, he also knew how to go big or go home to make things right with Evie.

The Boyfriend Experience was such an amazing romance filled with love, family, laughter, and tears. I loved every single moment of this story and hope we get more books from Carly Phillips and Erika Wilde around the Boyfriend Experience App. I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves contemporary romances.

Where do I start and what can I say about this amazing read, it may have been a quick read but it certainly wasn’t lacking in plot or adorable characters. One of the things I loved most about this book was the authors wernt afraid to give us characters that were quirky and that had hang ups and for me that made them feel real somehow.
Eric Miller doesn’t do long term relationships he is a love them and leave them type of guy, well that was until he met Evie Bennett.
Evie Bennett needs a man she needs a boyfriend to accompany her to her family reunion, normally this is woman who takes everything in her stride but after being dumped by her boyfriend she just doesn’t want to face her quirky family alone so when a workmate suggests a new app for boyfriends for hire she thinks why not.....
Eric wasn’t meant to be on the app and if he had seen the request first he wouldn’t have responded to Evie but his best friends in charge of the app and it’s beta testing and he put Eric’s details on for a laugh well the laugh back fires when Eric and Evie find they have an instant attraction for each other.
This book has it all, it will make you laugh , it will make you sad and it will leave you swooning and smiling like a Cheshire Cat, it has all the feels you want from a great read and I can’t wait for more from this very talented writing duo.
