The Uncovering You: Books 1-4 (New and Updated 2019 Edition) includes the first four books from the best selling dark romance series that has captivated readers all over the world.

---

Uncovering You 1: The Contract

When I wake up in a dark, unfamiliar room, I have no idea what's waiting for me in the shadows. My imagination conjures up demons of the worst kind.

Reality is much worse:

A collar with no leash. A prison with no walls. And a life stripped of meaning.

I am presented with a vile contract and asked to sign. It outlines the terms of my servitude. The only information I have about my captor are the two small letters inked at the bottom:

J.S.

Armed with only my memories, I must do everything I can to avoid becoming ensnared in his twisted mind games. But in the end, it all comes down to one choice:

Resist and die.

Or submit, and sign my life away.

---

Uncovering You 2 - Submission

I have survived the worst. I have come out of the darkness with my sanity intact.

Now, I get to meet the monster holding me here. For the first time since my captivity began, I get to meet Stonehart.

Whatever he wants, I'll be ready. The collar may be tight around my neck, but I will not be a prisoner.

A prisoner has no choice. A prisoner has no purpose.

But a concubine, on the other hand? She always has a choice.

And today, I choose to fight.

---

Uncovering You 3 - Resistance

Jeremy Stonehart is a cruel, vindictive man. He wants me to submit. He wants me to give in.

I will never give in. I will never yield. No matter what he subjects me to, I will always fight.

I will not forget my resolve.

Let Stonehart think me broken. I am not so easily deterred as that. No matter what he puts me through, I will always remember my own strength. I will always remember that in the end, I have control of the one thing he really wants:

My mind.

I will never give him that.

I will resist.

Well I have enjoyed this series very much! Each book has revealed a little more into the relationship of Jeremy and Lilly.
At times this series is very intense and very dramatic. I keep waiting for more insight into the characters and after these 4 books I don't have any revelations to explain these characters and how they came to be. I love the idea of the story but I'm not sure I will spend the money to buy the next 6 books though.

Read to me by Alexa.
🌶️🌶️.5 — surprisingly. The sex scenes are either glossed over or vanilla aside from the fact that they are nonconsensual. But he isn’t doing anything particularly kinky to her. And again, they are at time FTB

Okay spoilers galore. Proceed at your own risk.

Sooo…. IM MAD! Jeremy is a piece of shit and Lilly is a damn doormat and I’m mad!

Jeremy kidnaps Lilly. Forces her to sign a contract of sexual slavery for a term of 5 years, by essentially starving her for like a month. After basically being on the verge of death she finally gives in and signs.

As his sex slave Jeremy physically, verbally, and emotionally abuses Lilly. He rapes her repeatedly and treats her sub human at times. ALL of this was not enough to make me hate him. What did it for me…. Is he’s fucking other women! WTF. You give us this despicable human being as the H and he can’t even be faithful. Not only is he sleeping with other women…. He does it in front of Lilly to punish her when she finds out.

I can put up with a lot from an H…. But I draw the line at cheating. I’m really hoping this is more of an erotic thriller than a romance because then there is hope that we might get some vindication for Lilly and maybe she’ll kill his ass in the end. Here’s hoping.

Now for Lilly…… omg she’s horrible. From the moment she wakes up in captivity she’s horribly unobservant and the author does the whole, she’s contrary just for the sake of being contrary. It’s really annoying. Then she decides she’s going to play at being compliant in order to fool Jeremy. He’s of course not fooled but whatever that wasn’t so bad.

What is bad is that she starts to fall for her captor WAY too soon. She goes from hating his guts, to contemplating whether she actually even wants to be free in the span of like 2 days. Literally one night HEA tied her spread eagle to the bed, rapes her repeatedly and basically aims at making her feel like sex doll. She does. She hates his guts , understandably…. And two days later she’s legit trying to decide if she actually wants to be free of him.

He hadn’t cheated (that we knew of) at this point. So I’m still expecting an HEA and rooting for one. BUT STILL I expect better resistance than this. Yes l… before I knew Jeremy was a cheating sack of shit, I was absolutely rooting for Stockholm Lilly. But not out of the blue. If he had lulled her into a false sense of security for even like a week… I might have let it slide. But no…. He’s nice to her for like a day, and she’s ready to fall inlove with him. Swooning over his smiles and shit. 🙄

THEN, when she finds out he’s a cheater who freaking cheats….. does she have renewed sense of vengeance….. yea for legit like .05 seconds. Then she’s back to wondering if she really wants to go. He leaves her for a few days and when he’s back, she’s like begging for his attention…. Ma’m! Where is the self respect. He had his dick in another bitch 3 days ago and made you listen to it while naked and blindfolded in a corner on the floor…… you listened to them whisper sweet nothings. Now your desperate for his attention?

I’m all for self preservation. She can’t deny him without steep consequences….. but seeking him out? No.

I’m gonna finish the series in hopes that she kills the bastard. If she doesn’t…. I fun now how this author is gonna get me to root for this HEA. At the moment he has no redeeming qualities. Again most of the dark romance girlies agree, if you are terrible because you are obsessed with h, even if that obsession is toxic and abusive…. We will forgive it. But if you’re sticking it else where…. We’ll clearly you aren’t that damn obsessed and now you’re just a horrible abusive POS. Can you tell I’m mad? Like he wasn’t even sorry and she’s barely mad. He also walked her around like dog after she found out…. Like again…. What are we rooting for other than his death? Hopefully slowly and painfully.

Wow

So this series is so fascinating! it's like so much happens but nothing happens at the same time. Jeremy is a mystery. The author builds this emotional connection where you really start to think he has some redeeming quality and then purposely sets out to eradicate from your mind. Its incredible. time and time again you get a sense that A Jeremy is either split personality or B he purposely is destroying any feelings he develops towards her. It's an emotional rollercoaster. The author takes you not his emotional rollercoaster through lilley's psyche the entire time all the while nothing really happens. No big events or changes once he captures her just an endless and epic continuous mind f**k. This is by far one of the most fascinating and off putting reads i have ever come across. I look forward to the next set in the series. I applaud Scarlett for an unconventional take on a captive dark romance.

The Same Old Thing

If you like weak women and abusive men then you’ll like this series. Mind you the physical and mental abuse is extreme and sickening but the sex is sometimes good so the female main character is going to forgive all and fall in love. Forgive being kidnapped, starved, beaten and raped. What is that in the face of good sex, right? I started out liking Lily. But I’m not sure I do now. Stonehart is the typical abusive man. He isolates her and makes her completely dependent on him and his whims. I really thought this book would be different. But it’s the same old thing. If I were to read on (I haven’t decided yet) it would be because I am curious what the connection is between Lily and Stonehart. That’s why I gave books 1-4 two stars.

This is 4 books.4! And NOTHING happens after the scene is set. He kidnaps her, starves her, hits her, rapes her, cheats on her in front of her, and treats her like shit generally. We don't know why he picked her. I'm so frustrated with her. She keeps falling for him? It's weird. I'm too mad to continue the series. Frankly, I thought it was a 4 book set, but I found out it was 10 books, and it's not worth it to finish

Dark & nerve wracking

Lilly thinks she's finally on her way to getting her goal - autonomy! She has only one more year at Yale before she graduates but she can't resist the internship she was offered or the following job offer. What she doesn't know is how her life with be turned upside down within just a few months by J.S.

Beware that this is a very dark series. Kidnapping, drugging, rape, cheating (although just once), physical & mental abuse, manipulation, major lying, even the house staff is held captive, but sort of in a different way. For me, the darker the book, the better. I loved this entire series from beginning to end including The Lost Chapter because I needed that ending to see what happened.

OMG!

I have never read a darker, more brutal series.
Trigger warnings of kidnapping, mental, physical, & sexual abuse. That said, I could not stop reading! I had to know how things would turn out for Lilly and try to figure out Stonehart. This is the first of many short stories in this series. I will continue to read becauseI need to know more!
Well written and frightening!

Holy crap!

I normally don't do reviews, but this box set had me grinding my teeth! I need the rest of the books asap! Gives you little morsels and then cruelly rips away leaving you ravenous for the next stories.

A very dark emotional story. It does have some triggers, but I still couldn't stop reading it. It did tap into my own darkness. Exceptional, the struggles of both were pulling at my emotions.
