Kat and her husband go to Italy to go to her friend's wedding, at a vineyard near Florence. They are staying at her friend's house and in the middle of the night the are awoken by a loud knock. The grooms best man was murdered and they need to go to Sardinia so Kat can solve his murder.

This is the first book I've read in this series and I liked it a lot. Loved reading about Italy, wished they had more time in Florence. I will be reading more of this series.

I have listened to a number of books by Dianne Harman but this is the first book in the Midwest Cozy Mystery Series that I have tried and what a introduction it is. I enjoyed it. It is just like her other series, a fun cosy mystery that starts with the murder and then gives the motives for each suspect. With an interesting mystery, lots of suspects and of course a loveable dog. This book is set in the wine country of Italy adding a little bit of scenery to the adventure and a language barrier. The only thing that is different is that the last few minutes of the audio isn't taken up by recipes of food mentioned in the book.
Kat and her husband Blaine travel to Italy for a friends wedding but the day before the big day the best man is found dead. While consoling the widow Kat agreed to help find the killer. The dead man was a rich wine maker and as she and Deborah investigates they soon learn that not everybody loved him.
I liked the narrator but a few of her Italian accents for the men just made me laugh, to high pitched or gruff but squeaky.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Kat can't seem to be able to take a vacation without a murder occurring! When she snd her husband took a trip to Italy to attend a close friend's wedding-the last thing they expected was to get involved in solving the murder of the best man. He was a vintner of the best wines around and many were jealous. His wife had just found out that he had been having an affair with one of the maids for years---and they had a son! Lots of others were suspects as well--bet you can't guess who the person was who poisoned the wine!

Of course it was Kat's friends large black dog who saves the day and the lives of several people!

The recipes are authentic Italian and sound so good!!

This is the 6th in the series. The main characters are Kat Denham and her hubby D A Blaine. They go to Italy for the wedding of a friend and are involved in investigating a murder the day after they arrive. Bruno is a dear friend and the best man at the wedding and Kat is asked to investigate it. Can she figure this one out ? With the language barrier alone it becomes more complicated. Good luck Kat.

I am enjoying this series, this being the 6th book I’ve read in the last week. Kat and her husband are off to Italy for the wedding of her dear friend, Deborah. Shortly after their arrival in Florence, the groom’s best friend and man is found poisoned in his Sardinian wine cellar. Kat is convinced to investigate and find out who murdered him. Off to Sardinia they go, and although Suspects abound, Kat gets to the bottom of it, as usual!

I know these are small and you can read them in a few hours but they still grab you throughout the story keeping you reading. This author writes several series and they are equally good. The characters are lovable, you'll root for them throughout the story and the story will keep you reading. Great Reading Everyone!

A Little Poison With Your Wine?

Kat and Blaine travel to Italy for Deborah White's wedding, to her new beau, Luigi. When Luigi's best friend is murdered, he asks Kat to investigate. Deborah has told him of Kat's accomplishments and knows she won't have a compromised position.

I can honestly say I hadn't thought that the murderer would be who it is! ~

Kat and Blaine

These are of my favorite people. It is so nice to read about love and romance between mature people. And it's really interesting when characters are good people who help others. That's why I like Dianne .'s books so much. Her characters are realistic and good people.

Author Kat and her husband Blaine travel to Italy for her friend's wedding only to get caught up in a murder mystery. A deadly vintage…

Their romantic trip to Italy drops Kat and Blaine in the middle of a murder investigation and the groom is the victim. The settings are magnificent and full of old world historic charm. Dianne Harman brings them to life in this exciting cozy mystery and even included some tasty recipes for Italian cuisine!

This story kept my interest throughout. I loved the descriptions of the different locations. There were so many people who had a reason to kill Bruno that it was hard to figure out although I was pretty suspicious of the person who did it.

A simple plot, undeveloped characters, text amplified by extra spacing to enhance the length of the book. Overall, not worth the time. I was disappointed.
