I really loved the monsterball and fell inlove with the charaters Aerith and Jhaeros so much I had to see what happen when they got back to Pinemist and see if they would last Aerith's father who was trying to Marry Aerith off to the highest bidder just a few months after she became a widow to surport his over the top life style.
But Aerith was done being the family currency an finally takes off with her younger sister who she desperately missed while she was gone, married to a fae prince, and living in a fae realm without any family or friends.
I was pleasanty surprise to find a really interesting story unfold that I could not put down loved it great read.

I'm a little on fence. It was nice but it could have been so much better. The storyline does have an Austen vibe but it fell just a smidge short. The characters dynamic threw me off a bit and I definitely think the author could have explored those relationships a bit more.

What did I just read? Damn what a ride. I was constantly trying to guess where this story was going and was surprised by how unpredictable it was! At first I just thought this was a romance between a Fae Prince and and Elf. Boy was I wrong.
The story is actually about three different females and their POVs as they maneuver between the Fae and Elven realms. Each of them have their own love interests and all three males have bits and pieces I love about each of them.
I would love to see more of Jhaeros and his dark passion he displayed at the Monster's Ball (not just his proper persona) ....more of Liri's seductive ways and hopefully in the next book we will get to see more of Prince Ryo.
This book had some dark humor, adventure, action, quotable lines, a dash of steam, romance and some cheeseball sayings that had me spitting my drink laughing. I'm intrigued to see where book 2 will lead.

Hoping that there was more to Nikki Jefford’s story in The Monster Ball anthology, I was excited to find out that it wasn’t the end of Aerith and her sisters.
Stolen Princess continues immediately on from the ending of Enemies and Lovers, where Aerith has returned home from the ball, with the promise of seeing Jhaeros again.
Stolen Princess is beautifully written and detailed that you’ll be captivated and immersed in the story - I didn’t want it to end. Luckily there’s a second book with False Queen.
Stolen Princess continues immediately on from the ending of Enemies and Lovers, where Aerith has returned home from the ball, with the promise of seeing Jhaeros again.
Stolen Princess is beautifully written and detailed that you’ll be captivated and immersed in the story - I didn’t want it to end. Luckily there’s a second book with False Queen.

I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader's copy of this book.
Fantastic story! Wow, this book jumps right off continuing from The Monster Ball novella. This moved right a long, but poor Aerith & Jhaeros, they have to overcome so much just to be together! The main couple, Aerith & Jhaeros, are very likable, but so is her sister, Mel, and her boyfriend, Devdan. Loved the twists & turns this had, with unexpected happenings making it so unpredictable. I really wanted the couple to have their HEA that was sort of teasingly hinted at the end.

So after reading the short story of Aerith and Jhaeros in "The Monster Ball" I was intrigued enough to set that book aside and pick up this book. Their story was total instalove, they went from enemies to being totally in love in ONE night . However, I gave the author the benefit of the doubt since it was a short story. I thought that she had no choice but to rush their love story. So, initially I picked up this book to get a little more depth and insight into Aerith and Jhaeros instead of just "oh Aerith showed up with a mask at the ball and she was so beautiful that I slept with her. And oh yeah I'm going to marry her." That's not really what I got with this book. This was corny, silly and didn't have a lot of depth. Yet, I still enjoyed it. *shrugs*
Up until about 40% I was bored enough to consider putting it aside. I was kind of over Aerith and Jhaeros. And Aerith's sister Melarue was written exactly like a 17 year old girl. Kudos to the author for accomplishing this, but it was still annoying to read her point of view. Every time Jhaeros and Aerith kissed it was "EEEW" and it just got annoying.
Right when I was over this book and ready to put it down BAM Liri shows up and steals the princess (and thank God because I was almost bored to tears!) If you're an author or a bookseller and you really want me to get and read a book then there are only two ingredients you truly need. One: Promise me anything Cinderella like. Two: Give me a pretty cover with a girl in a beautiful dress. This book did both. It promised me Cinderella meets Mr. Darcy and it had this breathtakingly beautiful cover. I was therefore quite excited that BookSires gave me the chance to grab an arc and even more excited to start reading.
I have to admit that after finishing this book I'm not entirely sure what I think of it. Let me start with saying that I don't think this is in any way a bad book. This book has loads of interesting elements. Firstly I loved how this book combined differents worlds connected by portals. Secondly I quite enjoyed the political power games played in the Fae-realm. Thirdly I really loved the connection between the two sisters and how they were really fighting for each other.
However, I do think the Cinderella en Mr. Darcy elements are not quite as prominent as the Cruel Prince elements. I think a big part of my slight disappointment has to do with the fact that I had expected something more fairytale like, more magical, more enchanting. The story was simply different from what I had expected. And I guess it also doesn't help that the Cruel Prince and I never really had that click either.
I also missed the click a little with the characters and the romance. And it's not because it wasn't there, because it all was there. The characters were layered and interesting and edged. The romance was passionate. I just never really felt it. It felt a little like I was witnessing everything from a distance, but I wasn't really living the story with these characters. However, that's a common problem with me and high fantasy. If you love high fantasy, give this book a try. It might be your thing!

After reading The Monster Ball anthology I was hooked on Nikki Jeffords story and characters. So thrilled when she announced a follow up. Stolen Princess did not disappoint. It is multiple points of view but it works really well. Aeriths sister Mel is given a larger role and she is just as badass as her sister. Can we please have a book just for her!? There are twists and turns throughout this story that keep you on your toes. Stolen Princess has characters you'll love and some you'll hate. There is not a shortage of sexiness either. If you like sweet and charming or dark and dangerous, there is a book boyfriend in here for you. Excellent read and I cannot wait to read the next one. Strongly recommend picking this one up. You wont regret it!

I love how Nikki continued her Monster Ball story. I loved Areith's character and I loved getting to know Mel better. There were so many twists and turns you didn't know which way was up. Can't wait to see what she does with the next book!

That sums up the book! Romance, sensuality, intrigue. Strong, fun and likable (sometimes hateable) characters. The story draws you in and keeps you reading till the end and then leaves you wanting to read more.

Stolen Princess by Nikki Jefford a five-star read that will steal your heart. This is the first read in the Royal Conquest Duology and its simply amazing, I had come across the beginning of this story in the monster ball anthology and I was so excited to read more. Aerith is someone you will be rooting for the whole story, and the secondary characters all have their part to play, they will keep you on your toes and guessing all the way through. This will leave you with questions and thrill you all the way through. The next instalment can’t come quickly enough.

I absolutely loved this follow up to The Monster Ball short story. I highly recommend reading that before starting Stolen Princess to get more of this juicy background. I was so happy to finally get to see more of the Fae World and it sounds like in the sequel we will get even more of it which I am highly looking forward to. One of the things that I liked in this book was that I was never exactly sure where this story was going. It took me in different directions that I wasn’t expecting which kept it interesting and kept me flipping the pages. I am definitely looking forward to the sequel!

Stolen Princess was such a great book to read! I loved how the book picks up right where the novella in The Monster Ball ended and provides not only POV from Aerith (Who I LOVE as a character!) but also from her sister Mel. Both sisters have been through a lot, but the way they interact is fun and makes for a great character development for both! I really enjoyed getting to see more of Aerith and Jhaeros relationship. After returning from the Monster Ball, real life interferes with the relationship between Aerith and Jhaeros, but the real devastation comes from King Liri, who has loved Aerith since she was married to brother. King Liri decides to steal her away for his bride and puts her heart and life in jeopardy now that she is taken back to court. I am excited to see how book two takes Mel and Devdan's relationship to new and exciting levels!

What a refreshing story! I loved Aerith’s story in monster ball and had to continue it. I’m so glad I did! The. She bring two other couples into the mix and I’m hooked. Can wait to read the next books!!!

Longtime Nikki fans will not be disappointed, and new readers will discover a great rad, whether they start with Stolen Princess or decide to check out the Spellbound Trilogy, the Aurora Sky: Vampire Hunter series, or the Wolf Hollow Series first. I highly recommended all of them, but Stolen Princess is absolutely my new fave of Nikki’s (admittedly, I say this whenever I dive into a new Nikki read).

I have this horrible habit of clicking on books that have fabulous gowns on the cover. I am instantly entranced by the billowing skirts and pretty colors. But 9/10 times the books suck ass. Suck ass so bad that I swear I'll never click on one again. But alas, the draw of fashion reels me in every time despite the usually sucky outcome. This time it wasn't sucky at all.
Moral of the story: If you, like myself, are constantly led astray by covers with pretty things on them, fear not! This one is safe.

We follow a girl who, to pay off her family’s debts, hunts for a living (yes, it definitely gives ACOTAR vibes) until one day a fae prince shows up in her village and holds a tournament to choose his bride. And that’s when things get wild—this plot takes some seriously crazy turns.
I found the story entertaining, but there’s one thing about the author’s writing style that didn’t work for me: she occasionally drops little “spoilers” mid‑narration.
Example (made up to avoid real spoilers): “Ana adopted a rabbit. What she didn’t know is that nine months later it would die.”
I get that it’s meant to build tension, but it’s just not my thing .

Captivating
This was such an amazing book. The story began in another book but started well without the back story. I felt the book kept my attention and kept me guessing. I absolutely loved the characters, some more than others. I am looking forward to reading the next one to see how everything unfolds.

Is there a stronger word for love? Because I more than loved this book. I was entranced, and taken hostage into the worlds, yes worlds, by Nikki Jefford. Her heroine is strong, smart, brave and feisty. Plus a badass!
Read The Monster Ball Anthology for the beginning of Aeirth's story then dive into Stolen Princess. A great addition to your library.

Okay, as Melrue would say, this was truly an adventure and a fun read. Lots of characters with agenda's that counter the agenda's of the featured characters. Looking forward to the next in the series.

This is the first book by Nikki Jefford that I've read and by the end, I was left impressed and already eager for the sequel. Jefford creates a rich fantasy world of elves, fae, shifters, and more. I gave her a star just for including both elves and fae in the same story, something I’ve wanted to see but haven’t come across until Stolen Princess.
From the start, this book was filled with strong characters, with Aerith and her sister Melarue, even Keerla, as they were all sword, bow and arrow, and fireball-wielding warriors in their own right. I will be the first to say, that in the beginning, I did not like Jhaeros, Devdan, and especially not Liri. And then, I hit the second half of the book and I don't even know what happened as I found myself secretly rooting for them, even Liri. The multiple povs it offered also helped provide an overarching view of each character as it switched between Aerith, Mel, and Hensley's perspectives.
But, to go back to the beginning of the story, at the start, Aerith wins a tournament to become the new princess of the fae. However, she quickly realizes the glamorous court isn't all that it seems as the royals' deadly game of double-crosses and power plays proves more dangerous than the life of bankruptcy she left behind. She gets a second chance at life and love later, only to have it snatched back as she's once again thrust into the political machinations of the fae court, a game that will test her head and her head and might cost her her life

Stolen Princess was ultimately an unexpected find with its intricate world of supernaturals. I tip my crown to you, Nikki Jefford.

I was no longer Aerith Heiris of Pinemist, nor Princess Aerith Elmray of Dahlquist. I was a piece on a campaigne board—a game I knew how to play well.

February 27, 2020Ok, I went into this book expecting a fun, *smexy,* and quick read. HOWEVER, I found a story that I absolutely loved and couldn’t stop thinking about. Now, don’t get me wrong, I expected to love it. I however, didn’t realize just how invested I would be with all of the characters.
Ok, first things first I love elves and I love the fae, so you could imagine how excited I was for a story that promised me BOTH. YES! I need more elvish and fae mixings! But these weren’t all of the supernatural creatures found in this story, as that would be completely ignoring all of the supernaturals found in the mortal realm. Which, now that I say realm let me clarify: there are three of them. The elven one, the faerie one, and the human one.
Now, there is an enemies to lover turned insta-love plot in this book (phew, that was a mouth full!), but I was still hamming it alllll up. And, I can gladly say that this book is so much more than just a cheesy but lovable romance. Because, you know the fae don’t allow things to not get complicated!
So speaking of the fae, I have one word: Liri. Phew, lord, that boy! He’s the total bad boy fae with no morals and loves to scheme, and I was eating that plot right up! There’s just something I love about a well written fae character! SO, to say that I’m excited for the next books in the series is an understatement. And yes, it may be because I was promised more of Liri’s story.

Ok, first things first I love elves and I love the fae, so you could imagine how excited I was for a story that promised me BOTH. YES! I need more elvish and fae mixings! But these weren’t all of the supernatural creatures found in this story, as that would be completely ignoring all of the supernaturals found in the mortal realm. After reading the prequel Novella to this phenomenal new series from Nikki Jefford in The Monster Ball Anthology I was so excited to read Aerith's story.
When Nikki announced the Stolen Princess as a follow up I seirosuly did a little happy dance and Nikki certainly didn't disappoint me with this. I am now completely hooked on this new series.
I loved how this was told from multiple POV instead of just from Aerith's POV, It works well making this instalment flawless. There are some really clever twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat, eagerly turning the pages waiting to see what happens next.
I lloved seeing more of Aerith's sister Mel and I'm really hoping she gets her own story, she is a seriously kick ass girl who's sass I simply adore.
I can't wait to see what Nikki brings us next in this Duology.

Nikki Jefford's most fantastic series yet!
Stolen Princess is a fantastic read with relatable characters even if they are from a different realm. I highly suggest you read The Monster Ball anthology novella of Enemies and Lovers first, because Stolen Princess picks up right after the ball. And although Nikki Jefford does catch the reader up, it's even better first-hand.
After Aerith's 15 month stint in Faerie, she is finally able to return home, despite her brother-in-law 's wishes. Aerith, sick of her father and sister's selfishness, decides to move out with her youngest sister. She has fallen for a dashing elf. Aerith is happy and getting her life on track, but thanks to her brother-in-law 's obsession, it's not going to be all sweet berries. I won't say more to give away anything, but I will say this, be on your toes, because these characters will surprise you!

I fell in love with Aerith after reading the Monsters ball anthology, it's not necessary to have read that first...but I highly recommend, because it's fabulous.
This book has it all action, adventure, kick arse heroines, well written side characters and swoon worthy love interests.
At the heart of it all though is the love of sisterhood, the bonds of family both good and bad and a desperate desire to find love acceptance and home.
Of course it wouldn't be complete without a wicked Prince and scoundrel womanizer who may or may not meet his match in a fiery redhead.
I absolutely adored how beautifully the author crafted her story world, the attention to detail was spot on.
This is 'Put your feet up relax and forget the world' material And I can't wait wait for book 2
