With no idea about plot or character development (I mean I was only seven) my storyline quickly disintegrated into a muddled jumble of boring dialogue between two horses. Disillusioned, I gave up writing stories for quite a while after that. Instead, I concentrated on my studies, eventually graduating as a dentist.
After many years of ‘drilling and filling’ I turned to writing in an effort to escape the seriousness of my day job. During that time I created my first book, The Seven Steps to Closure, and discovered that I love nothing more than making other people laugh. Well that, and my husband and two miniature schnauzers, Chloe and Xena.
I currently live in beautiful Perth When I am not working or writing, I love to paddle board, walk on the beach and sip chai lattes at the local cafe.

Chanel takes it upon herself when Billy disappears. He has went deep undercover for an assignment.
There is a new drug on the streets and people are dying. Chanel makes it a one woman mission to get these drugs off the streets, and she get a reputation for being a cop you don't want to mess with.
When Chanel tell her boss that she has discovered a mole that has been giving bad information about a huge drug shipment. He doesn't believe her, so she enlist Martine, and Nick (Who Billy had called to keep an eye on her), to take down the gang of drug smugglers on their own.
This is another fun story from Donna Joy Usher. It is a little slower paced to start, and has less humor in it that the others, but does still have some good laughs in it, and finishes with an epic battle for good vs. evil, and a satisfactory ending for those with a romantic leaning in their stories.

Loved this book-another Chanel adventure
Everything seems great, Chanel and Billy are living together. But Chanel is worried because Billy doesn’t have a job and is basically doing the cooking and cleaning in the apartment. She’s worried that he’s going to get bored and go back to America. Billy becomes the manager at dazzle and soon after he says he’s going to be working but actually does not come home at night and Chanel suspect he’s gone undercover. Chanel is worried about Billy and in her role as a police officer she and her partner Bob begin trying to find out what Billy was looking for so that she can help him and make sure that he’s OK. While trying to do this she is dubbed supercop because she is able to subdue suspects arrest them and cuff them in a very efficient and fast manner. It was in the local paper. She also gets in a bar fight, gets covered with mud and performs in a drag show. All hilarious and all in the name of love. What a fun book. Can’t wait for the next one!

I do enjoy this series. The characters are enjoyable and the books are written with humor. Nick returns in this book. And yes, while he is still annoying, he is not nearly as annoying as in the previous book. Even though this book is titled Billy, it is more about Chanel and her search for finding Billy and finding out why he mysteriously disappeared. The author is still alluding to a possible future love interest with Daniel. In this book, it is revealed a little more that Daniel has the hots for her. Tess and Harry and the Dazzle club take a back seat in this one. The end of the book leads us to believe that this series is not yet over. Anxiously waiting and hoping for another book or two or three in this series.

Super Hero Chanel!
I wish I could give this 20 Stars! This book has it all - incredible characters, thrilling plot, romance abounds, & humor galore! The entire gang is back - Chanel, Billy, Martine, Tess, Harry, & even Nick. It’s amazing what klutzy Chanel can do when she stops thinking & just reacts. Her interactions with the bad guys are both thigh slapping hysterical & down right scary! I can’t wait for book 6 to see what Chanel & crew get into next.

I loved this book! You have romance, intrigue, suspense, and humor all rolled into one! You don't have to read the other books in this series in order to read this one but I highly recommend that you do! The original characters from those books are in here as well: Chanel, Billy, Martine, Tess, Harry, Trevor & Nick. I am hoping that there will be more Chanel books as I believe there are more escapades to be had.

A great action packed read once you get past the opening steamy romantic nonsense. After that it is a rollercoaster ride of ups and groans, that I couldn't put down. Highly recommended for those who like to read a good book, but also possess a sense of humour. A snarftastic read, Chanel & friends at their best.

Must read book full of action and fun!
Once again the gang is back for a tale full of action and humor! The story focuses on Billy through Chanel’s eyes. Nick also stars in this episode, and he and Bob have some side stories of their own. As always, fantastic writing makes this a must-read book!

Great story!
I love this series! I love these characters! I feel like they are family. Can’t wait for the next book in the series to come out! Read all of them in the series, you will laugh out loud and celebrate with them too.
