Title: ➳ ❤- Luna & Andre
Series ➳ Blaire's World Series
Author: ➳ Nikita Slater
Publication: February 26th 2019
⭐⭐⭐⭐

ღ The most feared cartel in Mexico (Los Zetas) & beyond. And Andre is among the elite within this vast army of underworld thugs.
I mean this guy lives & dies by cartel’s rules. So prepare yourself for his insane logic

➳ Luna has been Andre everything for five years, 2 beautiful kids (Cristo & Sola) . A mansion in Mexico of course, personal chief, nanny. Everything she could dream of special after he had dragged her out of that poverty-stricken shithole & set her up on a pedestal. And that’s where she been living for the duration of their marriage until today when she betrayal him

➦They live in the dark world of the Cartel so there are rules to follow & Andres must abide by them 🔪- She sign her own death sentence when she ran & she knows she’ll be looking over her shoulder for the rest of her short life,
So the hunt beings☀️

💕 This is the first book of Nikita Slater that I'm reading & I have to say, I'm really happy that I found this author.

➦A few indifference here, each person has their own opinion, but here few of mine

😒Holy shit, I get why Luna did what she did to Andre, but damn this woman at times was so freakin vain. There were few times she was more worried about how she looked then her own damn safely

➦Don’t get me started on Andre, I know that I said in the being that he was born into this life & follow the rules to the letter. I can’t put into my feeling for him, I had love/hate relationship with Andre….once you read the book you’ll get what I’m talking about!
:
➦The outcome of this story had so much potential to be more. Maybe I’m just going through withdraw from the last 2 books I read in this series…. Come it was sometimes gruesome, sometimes scary & somewhat twisted & somewhere in between a love story…
Don’t get me wrong this was good read, just not great read, but ⬇

📚 Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion & my honest review 💕

I think that I might try ➦Serafina: by Skye Callahan next in BLAIRE’S WORLD…. Wish me luck

I didn't like this one. That surprised me because I adore a super dark anti-hero and I really liked this author's other books. However, I felt no connection or love between these two characters. He was just straight up physically, emotionally, and mentally abusive towards his wife. Even at the end it left me feeling sad for Luna. The hero abused all her personality out of her and she had to become a stepford wife or die.

description

I am noticing a trend developing lately where authors are pushing the envelope more and more with dark anti-heroes and their behavior is becoming SO over the top with how they treat the heroines, that I am struggling to connect to the heroes and the stories. As I mentioned above, I adore a dark anti-hero, but I also need to see that there is SOMETHING more underneath than just viciousness and abuse.

Anyway, I am sure many people will love this book, and rightfully so. Perhaps if I had read Blaire's World (?) I might have been better prepared??

I didn’t like Luna at all. She was vain and too materialistic for me. I get that she grew up in poverty but once she got married to H she thought nothing of spending his money going on shopping trips, decorating her house or having a chef and nanny for her children. She had no problems using her husbands money knowing it was cartel money but deliberately remaining oblivious to the way he earned his money as long as she kept living in the life of luxury. The only thing I like about her was the fact she tried to protect her kids by escaping but then she was stupid in the way she did things. The woman had no brains and cried all the damn time. Don’t get me wrong it was realistic that she was afraid of her husband but the constant crying and then being all putty in his hands sexually got annoying. The thing that clinched my disgust of her was when she freely admitted how often she left her children with their nanny to go on vacation. I’m sorry but I didn’t get the loving mother impression then! Even her husband admits to himself that his wife is a selfish woman who doesn’t like delving too deep into other people’s emotions. Why worry about other people when she has a more important person to think about...herself! I really don’t get why Andres loved her because in my opinion she was too weak (Albert was right about that) too wrapped up in having an expensive lifestyle and too bloody spoilt. I really really disliked this h. This is one character in NS’s books that I really didn’t care if he had killed her because she was useless. For the plot and simply because this is by one of my favourite authors I give it 3* it would have been higher if I had liked Luna.

It didn’t wow me like it usually does with this author’s book. I felt as though the solution they found in the end wasn’t satisfactory. Like nothing was resolved. The conflicting emotions of hero was superbly done. Heroine, I have mixed feelings. I liked her sometimes but she also irritated me in equal measures.

I absolutely loathed one sentence where hero tells heroine as the leader of Mexican cartel he (and the other leaders) had had ordered their men to brutalize, dismember and rape women. From what I understand they weren’t partial in killing children too. That’s not my cuppa. Not with my heroes anyway.

I absolutely love Nikita Slater’s Blair world book Luna & Andres. This was definitely a lot more emotional than I thought it would be. Luna & Andres hard circumstances leads to hard choices that have dire consequences. There were a few places where I felt heartbroken for the mother in Luna and turmoil for Andres and what he would do.

Sigh.. I loved this couple. Nikita slater did these characters justice and elevated them to much more for me.

The storyline and the characters didn't sit well for me.
I felt the reason behind that "betrayal" wasn't strong enough, even.. useless.
But I couldn't stop reading. I was curious about what would happen with the heroine. And by the end, all the things happening and "being sacrificed" were useless.

This book is amazeballs! This story tore me in two, the mother and the wife. The mother in in me was screaming and the wife in me was hoping for better.

Luna & Andres is a book of determination, unconditional love, forgiveness, and how hatred is not always the answer. I loved how this story spoke to me and how I was right along with Luna, and every step she took. I even understand Andres, reaction with everything that happens.

Nikita's book is the second l read in the Blaire's World, and Happy I did.

Whilst a part of me feels like this wasn't that much of a HEA, I loved that the author DIDN'T go for the cliched ending so typical of the genre.

I think this will be a marmite story - you will either love it or hate it. The writing and story line were excellent, I adored Luna and totally believed in the love between her and Andres. Andres I both liked and loathed, whilst part of me wanted him to be the rescuing hero of the piece, I think what we got was actually more realistic. I struggled with the fact that , whilst appreciating that if the story wanted to be realistic then there was no other option.

We were told things about both MC's that we didn't witness. Several times it was mentioned that Luna was selfish, had 'caused issues' with the cartel and was impulsive, though we got no details or background to prove the point. I never got that impression of her either, I'm not sure if it was an attempt to balance the book or not but I don't think it needed it. She was pretty much forced into marrying Andres and taking on the rules of his world when she was just 19. I'd say she was a typical new adult finding herself than a thoughtless or selfish individual .... not when you saw her love for her children.

For a lot of the book Andres felt like a villain though, again, his actions were governed both by his upbringing and the 'laws' of the cartel. Clearly he was Los Zetas for life, to the point of appearing almost brutally uncaring at times. Excellent writing totally persuade me of the depth of his love for Luna, I really never doubted it, even though that love wasn't always enough.

It's really hard to avoid spoilers whilst reviewing this. I do recommend it, there was nothing I would criticise in terms of writing, emotion, plot (other than the 'slurs' about Luna) or pace. It's not a conventional story, from the opening scene with the hero shooting up heroine, to how it ends. However in a genre where too many books are too similar I both admire and appreciate a story that definitely charts its own course.

I can always count on Slater to deliver what I need. I can count on her to give me my LIFE. And I swear Slater took me all the way out with my new boo, Andres!

Andres is so yummy I can hardly stand it! Not an ounce of softness. Let me just say that Andres’ come up is definitely his GLOW up! Dude came in like a thief in a night and CLEANED HOUSE. The fear he inspire is so sexy that even dry humping him would be a treat!

I could go on and on but Andres has a chick. Well I guess she’s more than a chick. Okay. Okay. So Andres has a wife. But she didn’t deserve him. Well in the beginning she didn’t. But hey I won’t be petty. He certainly handled the situation. He handled it beautifully.

So let me warn you, this story is not for vanilla readers. It’s not even advisable for gray readers. It’s DARK and DELISH. If you decide to embark on the journey, READ and SAVOR. You won’t regret it.

Bravo Slater!

Five stars!

Luna & Andres, hands down tore my heart out. The ache in my chest was mammoth, the pain in my heart real, for between this most epic duo, they stole a piece of my soul, in such a short, agonisingly heartbreaking amount of time.

If I’m honest I really wasn’t sure how or if I was even going to take to someone else writing a Decena man, but hands down Nikita Slater nailed this big time. Yet again I’m blown away by the depth of emotion she packed into this utterly captivating novella.

The entire story was agony, crammed with such a bone deep sorrow, that brought tears to my eyes. It’s hard, it’s dark & yes it’s twisted, but all of that is wrapped so delicately in such a beautiful, selfless love that will leave you breathless.

A magnificent novella in what has fast become one of my all time fav spin off series.

Luna and Andres had the makings to be an amazing book! It started off strong, had a strong female lead, a hot as hell, dominate alpha, but it lacked the depth that I’ve come to want in this series. I wanted to know some of the things Luna did that caused her issues at the Site, wanted to know more about who she was. I wanted to understand their relationship more. Her reasons for leaving, while understandable and admirable, but she knew the consequences and knew Andres wouldn’t stop until he found her.

Andres had the hardest decision of his life to make...either follow cartel protocol and kill his wife who did the ultimate sin and betrayal, or find a way to make her pay but let her live. The outcome of this story had so much potential to be more! Does Luna come back into her own spunky self or does she finally allow the darkness to over shadow true self? Book 2?

First of all I want to say that I just have read 3 of Blaire's World including this one. But I think for me Andres was more to the extreme point of darkness. But who wouldn't? when you have everything that you love taken away from you.And just for that I'm pretty sure that this might be my favorite of Blaire's World series so far. But like I say I still have at least 3 more to go. So we will see what happens. But I sure love Andres.

Gut-wrenching!
This story was hard for me. I don't know why exactly, but it gutted me! Which is a feat in itself, because normally I don't flinch even when it gets very dark. This time I flinched!

4.5 Stars ~ Jess

This book kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. I couldn't stop reading, I couldn't look away, I held my breath and was dying to see what was going to happen.

Luna and Andres share this deep connection, even when they are tearing each other apart it can't be denied. Being married and having two children bind them together but being in a family such as the Andres is dangerous. And no one leaves them or betrays them, ever. And now Luna has made a very bad mistake and Andres needs to fix it.

Andres can be cold and harsh but Luna is his light. Luna who comes from a much simpler life and but gracefully fits into the one she married into. But things are hard when your husband has demons and is gone for long periods of time and sometimes drastic measures are taken. This book was intense. I can't really think of a better word than that. This is my first time reading this author and I really enjoyed her style.

Luna & Andres are as passionate, dark and dangerous as one would expect from a couple in the Blaire World. As Luna has to face the potentital consequences of betraying the cartel for the sake of her children, Andres Decena has to live and die by a set of implacable rules that don’t allow for mercy. This is an explosive story with intoxicating characters and dire circumstances that had me addicicted from start to finish.

Andres and Luna’s love is strong and unbreakable.
They shared an intense connection from the moment they met.
They’ve been married for five years with two beautiful child.
One rash decision is about to have everything crumbling down.
I didn’t really like Andres very much.
He complains about Luna being selfish. Yet nothing I read showed that.
But I found his actions and choices were the ones that were selfish and lead Luna to the path she took.
They live in the dark world of the Cartel so there are rules to follow and Andres must abide by them.
He started to grow on my towards the end when he let a bit of love and compassion shine a slight bit.
I found Luna to be a strong courageous lady.
Her first priority was always her children and their welfare.
Her deeds and actions were based on the wellbeing and what she felt best for the kids.
There is no doubt to the feelings that Andres and Luna have for one another.
The author brings it out in the book very well.
Ms. Slater leaves no doubt in my mind how deep and all consuming their love is.
The writing is excellent and well as the plot and storyline.
It’s gripping and I could feel the darkness of the Cartel swirling around me while reading.
The characters are intense especially Andres.
This story blends and fits well in the Blaire World.

Oh Luna and Andres OMG where the hell do I start with this one...... I have no idea because I was sitting at the edge of my reading chair reading my kindle holding my breath wondering what Andres what going to do next. I can't imagine having to go after your wife and having to kill her but she did something to the Cartel that was a no no and they wanted their pound of flesh and they told Andres that he had to kill his own wife or he would be killed to.

As Andres chases Luna his heart is breaking with each sight as he gets closer to her. He knows that he loves her with every bit of his heart but he knows the cartel is no joke and they will come for them and take what they want.

What will Andres to do Luna when he finds her? Will he kill her or go on the run with her?

This couple touched me to the very depths of my romantic soul. Andres was flawed yes but loved Luna and his children with a passionate intensity that grabbed this reader's attention from the very start. I will admit his intensity also had me worried a bit in regards to what Luna's punishment would be for her betrayal. Luna loved wholeheartedly which I could see in her interactions with her babies and Andres. I do think she was a little naive in believing she could escape from Andres. The scenes between Luna and Andres were rife with emotions . I could feel the love and anguish Luna and Andres felt toward each other as I was reading this. This wasn't a sweet romance but an explosive all consuming passionate tale that left me breathless.

This author is new to be so I was very curious if I’d like it. I’ve gotta say I absolutely loved this story.

Luna is running away with her children from her husband Andres.
Andres is a leader in the Mexican Cartel. Andres is a powerful alpha male. He isn’t going to let his wife leave that easily.

This is an exceedingly good book that I devoured in one sitting. I’m looking forward to reaching more of Blaires World and I’ll certainly be reading more from this author in the future.

Blaire's World series continues with Luna & Andres, this book had a rollercoaster of emotions pinging all over the place. It exciting as it was intense.

The life the Andres' leads isn't a simple nor is it safe, he knows that and Luna knows that but yet the in love. I played around with how healthy their relationship was. I like Andres' but he definitely had some stuff to deal with and a lot of it was his own making. Andres is what he is there's no sugar coating that.

Though I like Luna's character she annoyed me a bit as well, did she have rose-colored glasses on, when it came to Andres? When we love, yeah we love hard and sometimes that love puts the family at risk.

Both characters worked those personalities and nailed it. The storyline was plausible because it was something that could have actually happen. Danger, drama, hot and hot, passion and love. Sit down grab the book and get ready for a ride. Enjoy
