What an Amazing new story by two inspirational authors, Tracie Delaney and MA Comley!! The feelings and exciting action come right across the page into your house!! The new characters are already embedded in my heart, I feel I know them deeply, and like we are friends facing what comes next together..
Christa is a strong,independent woman,she has already been through hell with a rich,powerful man who completely controlled her life resulting in her son Max. Now she will do anything to give her son a wonderful life, and soon takes a job with another rich man but with her eyes wide open. Dayton Somers seems like the perfect employer, but when he shows signs of wanting more than an employee relationship Christa puts on the brakes quickly! Not Happening Again!!
But Dayton is nothing like her former husband, and his care of others and tender approach towards Christa starts to soften her tough exterior...
A fantastic suspenseful romance that you are captivated by immediately and I can Not wait for the next book!!

I found a little abrupt Dayton’s emotional transition. His deep feelings towards Christa and Max were suddenly developed.

Something magical just happened when these two authors came together. Like a brilliant recipe just gone right. A dash of suspense here, a pinch of romance there, all mixed together and cooked to perfection.
Tempting Christa has all the elements a romantic suspense needs. It’s a story filled with tension, those edge of your seat moments, those will they/won’t they vibes. It’s a smorgasbord of a story.
As it is a two parter which my stupid self didn’t realise when I read it, I must admit getting to the end was like ‘noooooooo, they can’t do this to me.’ So I’ve at least forewarned you that you’re going to want to throw your kindle. But seriously, don’t. That’s way too expensive and you’re going to need to find out what happens in the second part. Which I cannot wait for.

This was an amazing book to read. The story flowed and was so descriptive and well written, I didn't want to put the book down, I wanted to know what was going to happen next! I didn't think that would happen as romance is not my thing but this is not all romance so was readable!!
The two main characters are Christa and Dayton. The chapters are their accounts of the events that occur but the main thing I liked - it told you who's account it was. This made it easier to follow.
The book starts with Christa leaving court after a horrendous ordeal in Chicago and moving to New York to start a new life with her son Max. Dayton is a CEO of a big company in New York. He is looking for a date for Friday night when Christa enters his company's building for an interview and he decides she fits the bill perfectly. She does not want to go there as still very fragile. Who will win, Christa or Dayton? She's determined not to get involved or have anything to do with him. He decides he wants her and goes all out to get her.
One of my favourite authors, Mel Comley, co-wrote this book with Tracie Delaney. Together they are a very talented pair of writers. I am so pleased I gave this book a chance and read it. The tension rises throughout the book but it finishes on such a cliff hanger, it has left me wanting to read the next book in the series.

A superb book written by two very talented authors whose work compliments each other.
A young innocent Christa gets embroiled into the lifestyle of her immediate boss Sutton Atwood. She realises too late that his interest in her is purely for his own pleasure & enjoyment with no commitment. Her revelation to him that a child is on the way, sees his sadistic side come to the fore. After a horrific beating inflicted by Sutton's men, he is imprisoned for a period of time. Christa moves States to get away from him and tries to settle down into a new lifestyle with her young son and a new job.
However the owner of the company she now works for is showing interest in her decidedly like that of Sutton. Eventually she follows her heart with Dayton Somers but fate has a way of intervening when Sutton's conviction is overturned & he is released. Now he is threatening her and she has to choose between Dayton & her son Max.
Oh, these authors know how to reel you in until you're left gasping at the last line, knowing that there is unfinished business here to be revealed in the next book!!

We start this story, with Christa, on her way out of court.
She seemed a strong, independent woman. We find out, that she is determined to be the best mum to her young son, Max.
They move to a new area, and she finds a new job. She’s never done this work before but is sure she can learn. There’s a crèche in the workplace too, for her son.
Christa gets to meet the owner of the company. I’m liking the sound of this guy. He looks after his staff, and pays them well.
There are some lovely characters in this book. I could say lots more, but don’t want to say too much and ruin the story for you.
Loved this story and will definitely look forward to the next one.

I really enjoyed reading this story!
I thought that the flow of the story was excellent and it really had me turning the pages to see how it ended!
The characters were very good together, well developed and I really enjoyed getting to know them. They were believable and that helped make for an excellent story!
It is definitely five stars from me for this one, only downside for me was that I now have to wait for part two!! Very highly recommended!!

Christa fled from her dark past and wanted to feel safe again in her new home far away from the people who hurt her badly. Getting a restart in life wasn’t easy though and finding a job was just as hard. But she was a strong and determined woman with an inquisitive mind.
When Dayton Somers made her an unbeatable offer she was torn between accepting it and running far away from yet another rich guy trying to pursue her.
Although Dayton wasn’t like her ex, there were still some similarities at first which made Christa cautious because rich, controlling men weren’t what she was looking for especially when said man was her boss and used to getting what he wanted. She went through hell before she came to New York but came out alive and swore to never fall for a man like that again.
The story was told from Dayton’s and Christa’s POV and slowly revealed the troubled pasts of both characters. While I enjoyed the story a lot and liked how Christa fought against the monsters who were trying to destroy her, I think that it moved too fast in some regards. Maybe I would have liked it better from only one POV because having both main characters with dark histories and secrets felt a bit crowded especially because it only grazed on the heavy topics (although Christa’s had some more depth). That’s obviously a personal matter but I just prefer when it focuses on one thing and goes deep all the way or not at all.
I loved how the book started and Christa’s reservations toward Dayton and his proposals. She didn’t give in easily and posed a challenge for the demanding and controlling business magnate Dayton Somers. Max was adorable as well although he could have been more involved for my liking since there was a new man in their lives.
What irked me a bit was how - after only a short time and without much happening - Dayton the womanizer and forever bachelor all of a sudden wanted it all, the girlfriend, kids etc., without seemingly any development of his character.
Maybe I wasn’t as involved in the story as others but I just didn’t feel their sudden connection. Or it may have been because of how jumpy it felt at times when things moved along rather fast without smooth transitions.
Other than that I really liked the storyline and the ending had my heart rate speed up. Now I am impatiently awaiting the next book.

When I picked up this book I knew what both authors separately was like and yes I LOVE both their books. BUT oh boy when these 2 get together to write a book about a couple with pasts that you don't wanna know, but you just have to read. Then you have a PAGE TURNING & UNPUTDOWNABLE book. Christa is a single mum in a place where she is fighting for a life for and her son and happens to walk into Mr Dayton Somers building. Dayton is a man on a mission when he sees this woman on the sidewalk getting out a taxi and walk into his building. What happens when she accepts an offer he knows she can't refuse? What is Christa Adams hiding from Dayton Somers that is making her skittish? Dayton Somers has a past that he has never shared with anyone? Can these 2 people help each other heal or are they heading for a breakdown NO ONE sees coming.
All will be revealed when you read the 1st installment of An Irresistibly Mine series. Really can't wait to read book 2 of this series in 13 days.

Another gripping read by one of my favourite authors. This is the first instalment of a two-part series. The second one, Avenging Crista, isn’t too far away.
Tempting Crista introduces Crista – a genuinely nice girl who has been the victim of poor circumstances – and Dayton – a wealthy and determined businessman. Their relationship starts off badly, and Crista makes Dayton work for it. Good. I can’t stand female characters who give it up too easily.
Cue the ex – the villain of the piece – a deliciously vile individual, with all the personality and redeeming features of Theon Greyjoy – for those non-GOT fans, that means he doesn’t have any.
They lead characters travel down a road with a number of bumps along the way but Crista is tenacious, and has her head in the right place.
All in all, this is another great story from Tracie Delaney.

I wasnt too sure about this one from the blurb but these are two authors i was keen on, so i gave it a go. so glad i did. i adored both characters, he started off a little obvious but very quickly I warmed to him. i loved how he developed it made me really happy. it felt like a secret glimpse of him.
she's just a great character.
i marked it down a little just because im not a fan of books that leave you hanging. Having said that i have marked my diary for the second book so i guess its not so bad! and its only a few weeks to wait maybe i shouldnt be in such a rush.

Omg an absolutely fantastic read. Couldn't put it down. Dayton in the restaurant. I really felt for Crista. Made me teary in places too. Omg what an ending. Cant wait for book 2. Highly recommended. 5*. Would give more if I could.

As a result, Christa runs away from Settle, and everything she knows, to start a new life in New York with her son, away from Sutton Atwood and his cronies. After a number of unsuccessful interviews, she manages to get a job working for business man Dayton Somers which seems like a dream come true. Little does she know that Dayton has an ulterior motive.
Hidden secrets, buried histories and suspense with a dash of love, this is a great read and I cannot wait for the next instalment.

Two extremely talented authors have worked together to bring us this first in a new series. I’m not an all-out romance fan, but there is something about the writing that kind of sucked me in and didn’t quite let me go throughout the book. Christa is a strong, single parent, running away from her past. Dayton is the stereotypical rich businessman, used to getting his own way and treating women as ‘disposable’. That soon changed when he met Christa.
I really liked the way the chapters changed between Christa and Dayton’s point of view and it flowed very easily. It really helped with getting to know the characters and to see things from each perspective. The two characters work well together and I enjoyed watching the romance grow. This was a really enjoyable read. My only complaint? We are left waiting for the next book to find out what happens next!

Oh wow! What an incredible collaboration from two extremely talented authors.
These two characters are already in my list of favourite couples having only read this first book.
Dayton is so sexy and arrogant thinking he can buy literally anything he wants and making way through every hot woman in the city that looks good on his arm then disposing of them as soon as they start to get feelings for him.
Then in walks Christa the tough single mother who has moved cities with her baby boy in order to escape her beyond traumatic worse than your worst nightmare past life in order to build a better life for her family.
Desperate to find a job she goes for an interview she knows she is under qualified for but she is desperate and eager to learn.
Then she is called into the bosses office and the immediate spark between her and Dayton is immense. There is chemistry from the get go but being a mother Christa has to look out for her son first then Dayton counters with an offer almost too good to be true.
I loved watching their relationship and steps into new territory evolve and the end had me in floods of tears. I cannot wait for the next book.

Im having a hard time writing this review. Although i loved the story; the suspense, the drama, the what the fucks, the heart-break and the romance of this story, I cant deny that the book or should i say the story isn't the type that leaves me breathless. I love rugged, dirty, filthy books. And this was a bit on the clean side. Nonetheless, i binged. And i mean the type of binge that kept me up late despite the fact that i had work the next morning...and had me jumping onto book 2 right there and then.
The authors definitely took on a very difficult and sensitive topi and did a hell of a job with it.
Although it wasn't my cup of tea, ill be definitely recommending it to anyone.

Christa is a single mum to a beautiful boy called Max, she has just escaped traumatic terror at the hands of Max's father, Sutton, and had him sent to prison but they wont rest til they get to her. Christa's option is to start a new life in a new city away from everything.
Dayton owns a company in New York and spots Christa, he wants her. A date for the evening in exchange for contract in an apprenticeship programme and nursery place for max but Sutton is at the back of her mind, Dayton wants control like he did.
Christa agrees and starts working for Dayton but also agrees to become his consort for generous payment but on her terms but this soon develops into a relationship.
Eventually Christa has to explain about her past and what Sutton did to her, Dayton is shocked but loves her all the same. Until news comes that Suttons been released and coming for custody for Max.
Where does this leave Dayton & Christa?

This was a brilliant start to a new series. It was packed full of suspense and romance. I loved Christa and Dayton and I loved reading their journey unfolding. Christa is hiding a few secrets and Dayton tries to all he can to uncover them and whilst he is doing that they happen to fall in love but all is not what it seems and her secrets all start to unravel and come back to haunt her. Christa is a strong woman who has been put through the wringer but has to stay strong for her son Max... Oh max is such a sweetheart, he trusts so easily and makes Christa’s life that much easier. Dayton the brooding boss who gets his world tossed upside down by an adorable 2 year old and his mom... I loved this book it gave me all the feels right till the end. I couldn’t put the book down and I can’t wait for book two to find out how the rest of their journey goes.

What a fantastic start to a new series by these two authors that haven't worked together before,and wow this story totally worked between these two.
This starts with Christa after she leaves court to start a new life in New York with her two year old son Max and to put her awful past behind her.Dayton is the CEO of the company that she is going for a interview with and as Christa arrives Dalton catches a look at her briefly but likes what he sees as he is looking for a date for the up coming ball on friday night.
Christa has other ideas as she has just put away the last man (her ex boss)that conned her and she is not about to get into another relationship with the CEO of the company that is going to employ her making him her boss.But Dalton always gets what he wants and he wants Christa so sets his sight on ways to make this happen,the saying by hook or by crook you will be mine is how he feels and he goes all out to get her.
The suspense through out this book had me glued to the story line with how the tension mounted the more you get to find out what the back story was to Christa's life and what she went through before she had Max.The more these two characters spend in each others company the more they are falling for each other but there is a spanner in the works that is going to destroy Christa as she will have to choose between her son Max and Dalton,what a ending,i now need book two asap.

A wonderful start to a great series. This is an extremely well written story of a brave Mum and her efforts to keep herself and son safe after an abhorrent attack. The characters are so well formed that I felt an connection within a couple of pages, especially with Christa. Will she and her son survive after a move across the country? Will she ever trust someone enough to let them get close ever again? Can she find happiness and if so, can it last?
The plot is clever and I really liked that the chapters are named for the character’s perspective used. It makes the story so much easier to follow and it flows from beginning to end. I thoroughly enjoyed this and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. Highly recommended for those who enjoy a thrilling and sometimes scary read.

I Couldn't put this down. A fantastic read, that sucks you into the story and then keeps you gripped.
Christa is strong and determined but also cautiously open to a new relationship. Dayton is driven and before Christa shallow in his dealings with women, but soon shows her he has a caring and loving side.
They both have had trauma in their pasts that have made them what they are now.
Their personalities, emotions, thoughts and feelings jump off the page and into the readers heart.
This was a great collaboration by two excellent authors and they have produced a super book.
Be aware this ends on a cliff-hanger and you will want to read the second instalment so be prepared to get the next one.

I loved this book!
I enjoyed getting to know Christa and Max, finding out the secrets of Christa’s past and to learn about what happened with Sutton.
I enjoyed reading about Dayton, seeing his character develop and flourish.
Max is of a similar age to one of my children so I found this book relatable seeing the parental perspective of Christa views (although thankfully I’ve never experienced anything like what she has!).
Written very fluidly, this addictive story kept me entranced. I wanted to know all the secrets, I wanted to learn everything about these people and all about the worlds they came from.
Looking forward to seeing how this story continues...

Dayton, the bad boy billionaire has been a love ‘em and leave ‘em kind of guy until he meets Christa and her son Max. Christa has vowed to avoid powerful, dangerous men after the last one almost destroyed her. Now she doesn’t want to resist Dayton. Steamy romance is often overshadowed by the tendrils of dangerous obsession. Can there be a winner in this emotionally-laden scenario? Only the reader knows for sure. This is a absolute must read and I highly recommend it.

Wow, well Christa definitely blew my socks off. What a great hero for us all. This story is the burgeoning romance between billionaire Dayton and single mum christa, both with pasts they want to leave well behind. But we all know that pasts have a habit of creeping up when we least expect it. A great combination of suspense, romance, and steaminess with a cliffhanger ending. I can't wait for the sequel.
