The Patsy is the second book i've read by Brian O'Sullivan. Just like his first book "The Puppeteer" The Patsy was a really good read. The Patsy is a political thriller, a lot of what is going on today is referenced in this book. I'm not going to go into what the book is about, I don't want to give anything away. The Patsy is full of intrigue, murder, and mayhem. This story was well written and the character development is outstanding, I could not put this book down. You can read this book without reading the authors first book "The Puppeteer", but I would suggest you read "The Puppeteer" first. The main characters Frankie and Evie are back, in The Patsy. Even though the plot is different, you will enjoy these characters more, knowing their back story. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The Patsy is a must read.
I rarely get drawn into a story as much as I did this one. It's heart pounding action, true love, current events and justice all rolled up into a story-line that you will not be able to put down. By the end of the book I was literally reading as fast as I could, heart practically skipping a beat with each page and each new truth being revealed. The characters jump to life and I can actually close my eyes and see them. This book will leave you wanting more and Brian O'Sullivan delivers just that with his second book, "The Patsy". Save yourself time and by both at once because you don't want to miss the continuation of the current political dramas being drawn into the lives of Evie and Frankie! Bravo Mr. O'Sullivan! I expect to see these two books on the Best Seller List real soon. Bonnie Allen Inspiring Author
O’Sullivan hits another home run as our favorite twenty-somethings are back fighting corruption!
The second Frankie & Evie political thriller is as heart-pounding as the first and is a must read for political junkies and thrill seekers alike!
It was a joy spending time with these characters again! Equal parts smart, funny and determined, these young heroes will grab your attention and not let go!
I highly recommend you read this novel (and read the first one as well if you haven’t already)!
Brian O’Sullivan is a remarkable story teller and will keep you turning pages into the wee hours of the morning! Don’t say I didn’t warn you! Sent from my iPhone
I enjoyed this book's use of fictional characters in our real world! You become very familiar with each key character introduced, and begin to love some and despise others. The author does a fantastic job keeping your interest as each chapter swaps between what is taking place in different character's lives and how everyone eventually becomes connected! There are many comedic as well as disturbing moments and it is not written in a confusing or boring manner in any way! If you enjoy politics, this is a must read!
Do not make the mistake of passing up on The Puppeteer and then The Patsy!
This is a nail biting, sit on the edge of your seat read. While this series is a bit of a longer read, than the Adler series, trust me, it still won’t be long enough. Lots of twists and turns with plots aplenty! Frankie and Evie are young enough that we should be able to get years of excitement! *Hint! *Hint! 😉 How about an Adler, Frankie and Evie joint venture Brian? 🙀
Don’t wait! Get on board with some great reading and settle in for a good time!
I read Brian O’Sullivan’s second novel immediately after the first, The Puppeteer. The two books are stand alone, but the main characters from the first book also appear here. Brian has come up with some really great plot lines in these two books! Once I started reading, I wanted to keep going to find out what happened next! I’m so glad I ran across O’Sullivan on Twitter & heard about his books. Check them out!
I loved Brian O’Sullivan’s first book, The Puppeteer, so when I started The Patsy, I was happy to see the story line picked up pretty much where the last book ended. I already was familiar with the characters, and actually enjoyed this one even more! Left me wanting to see what happens when Brian writes his next book. Hope it’s soon!
This is my first Brian O'Sullivan read. Excellent writing! The story grabs you right away and carries you to the end. The characters are well developed. Minus one star for the poor hamster- I didn't need to read that. I would recommend for anyone into political genre.
OMG!! The two Frankie and Evie books were both both outstanding! I sure hope their next adventure is in the works. I couldn't put these books down and can't get the characters out of my head. I appreciate the great stories without gratuitous descriptions of blood and guts. I will read everything Brian O'Sullivan writes. Great storyteller.
Wow what a great book . It picks up where the Puppeteer ended ( his first book ) I like sequels you already know the characters . It grabs you right from the beginning and is a great read all the way through to the end .Great story and characters I highly recommend it . Sheila
Hoping for and looking forward to the next installment. "The Patsy" has a relaxed, mellow beginning that rapidly escalates to an edge of your seat ending. Highly recommend for a summer read.
A great book to spend a few hours lost in the roads taken by the characters. Details are believable and relatable during the unfolding nightmarish scenario. Enjoyable and a nice compliment to the author's The Puppeteer.
Loved the intrigue but the intermittent explanation about the shooter wasn’t required for any fans reading, but I get it. Loved the Marvel ending teaser for the next in this series!! Well done, two thumbs up👍🏾👍🏾
Once again, Brian O'Sullivan has created a likeable and believable cast of characters and a tight, suspenseful story filled with political intrigue that shows just how dangerous our political divide has become.
Wow was this a political thriller or was this THE political thriller!?! Another Frankie and Evie book that just had me floored! Once again it really went with the present time and I was here for it. A must read that is not getting the accolades it deserves.
