H.M. Wolfe lives with the coolest Mom in the Universe and a fat, gay, submissive tomcat. She loves writing stories about boys and men who love, cherish, respect and protect other boys and men.
I love mpreg books. Most mpreg I've read so far have been shifters or Omegaverse. This throws a totally different view on mpreg. Medical experimentation! It has a different spin, which includes mobsters and law enforcement working together for good. Mad doctors and femme fatales working together on revenge. Boys falling in love with other boys. Babies lost then found again years later. Kidnapping. Suspense and excitement from the very beginning. Couldn't put it down until I got to the end. I have the best book hangover now. Hope there is more, cause I couldn't get enough of Daniel and Tarquin.
This was a great book, packed with all the feelings. I fell in love with the main characters and their stories, and I”m looking forward to the other books in the series.
”From the Darkness” is the kind of book that keeps you on the edge of your seat and leaves you with a hangover, begging for more. At least, this is what it did to me. Villains lurking in the shadows, characters plotting to bring the two MCs together or, on the contrary, to break them up, haunting secrets, friendships forged in the darkest of times, these are only some of the ingredients the two authors mixed together for creating this unique story.
I can”t wait to see what the next books in the series have in store for me.
I liked a lot of parts of the book but I did had some issues with it too. It had its ups and downs but I enjoyed reading it.
There were a lot of interesting parts in the plot that I really enjoy. I can’t share too much because it is easy to give too much spoilers away. Most of it, was Tarquin’s scene what I liked the most. There were also some secondary characters that I liked a lot. I would love to know more of their stories in the future.
It was interesting enough to keep my attention until the end. But I had a lot of trouble with the plot because there were times when there was too much going on. It became confusing. I lost track of who was who, because there were too many new characters. There were some typos that bother me a little but nothing too distracting to keep me from reading it. I felt underwhelmed by the solution to some of the problems presented to the main characters. It seem too easy way out.
Overall, it was an entertaining book. I liked most of the characters and I most likely will be reading the next instalment.
The author introduce us to the intriguing and exhilarating world of the Italian and Russian Mafia, to the life and activities of an elite force of talented young man, and the world and history of the Dragon's house. The struggles of the innocent souls, their heart-breaking past, and the way they found solace in their family love and their allies. Tarquin and Daniel are perfect for each other, they both suffered, but in each other's company they found happiness, peace and the family they desired. Is amazing how their enemies tries to hurt them, keep them apart, with manipulation and evil deeds and the way they pay for their crimes is inspiring and a lesson to be learned. And most of all it's beautiful the way they support each other, they become the other strength, and the way they function as a team and ultimately as a family. They seek justice for all the suffering they endured, they are compassioned with the vulnerable ones and drastic with the ones who causes them harm. In their quest they find powerful allies and are just in the punishment they serve. It was and exhilarating read that kept you on the edge until the end and I can't wait to see what happens next with our beloved characters.
This is a story filled with intrigue and plot twists. It is a beautiful love story between two lost souls. Men that have faced the worst of what this world has to offer. Daniel and Tarquin have pasts that they are ashamed of. When they meet, they find the one person who will change their lives. This is a brand new writing duo. I can't wait to see where H.M. WOLFE and E.L. NELSON adventure to next. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!
I'm simply hooked! Great plot with engaging dialogue. Well established solid characters who made me swoon and fan myself 😍 I must say i plan to read this book again 😁😍
My expectations was big since the plot was appealing, and okay it started good but then there was A LOT of characters that you need to keep focus or you’re gonna get lose at some point. Anyway, I could be okay with that, many characters okay.
I know it’s the first book but let’s talk about the writing, I need to doble check on the ages of the characters, like they are between 17 to 34ish give or take but the dialogue was so poorly, a man in his midd twenties talking like a teenager in their 14ish, that was really disappointing.
The relationship and the insta love were really bad writing, one look and now you are my entire world… please.
It’s seems that the trauma is nonexistent, and I’m talking about Daniel
So, no this book wasn’t really a good one, I’m gonna give the second book a try and see where this goes because it’s a very long saga that connects with other books so yeah… finger crossed the next book is decent enough.

This Book intrigued me. And it was a lot. I love the story I love the suspense behind the story but the Way it was written didn’t give me the chemistry I needed to form to love the main characters and to feel the love that they felt for each other. It’s just too much going on with too many different characters and it kept jumping all around so you had to read it very carefully or you didn’t know who was talking. I ain’t feel the chemistry between it too I didn’t get enough time with the two to feel that chemistry. Heck I didn’t know what a lot of them were feeling at the time because even their feelings were all over the page. You couldn’t tell who were the good guys and who are the bad guys. I think there’s some paranormal something going on in the background but it never really goes in depth so I’m not sure and I don’t have the spoons right now to read the next book so I guess I’m not gonna find out. The writing was interesting the Smexy was lacking, and too many characters happening at one time to keep up with any of them. I liked the story and that’s why I got the stars that it got but beyond that it just felt messy.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Even though they were new authors to me they wrote a seamlessly flawless story with well developed characters and an intriguing storyline. I am beginning to love mpreg books, it seemed kind of far-fetched to me but as I am reading more and more of them I am loving them. A friendship is formed between Daniel and Tarquin and they become allies at their most vulnerable times. Bad guys are lurking in the shadows around every corner some trying to break them up and some trying to push them together they all have ulterior motives. There are lies in secrets but will this stand in the way of Daniel and Tarquin’s budding relationship? I can’t wait for the next installment of this series!!
This book has everything you can want in a mafia read. Evil doers, plot twists, and a host of characters. But do be aware that the plot includes child abduction and abuse.
I really enjoyed this story it was interesting and couldn’t stop reading it. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait to read the rest of the series
The premise was fantastic, but no one speaks like this that didn’t attend an English Boarding School as possibly even then! Actually 3.5 stars for the effort alone. Read with that warning.
