Want to know what really goes on in a pet grooming parlor? When a quick talking, pie gobbling, little old lady persuades Amy King to attend the open day at the local animal sanctuary, Amy thinks it will lead to new clients for her struggling furniture staging business. Instead, she stumbles into the dog eat dog underworld of the pet grooming business where a tangled web of secrets, lies, and deceit, leads to the murder of a pet pooch parlor owner. Things get worse as the murder casts a gruesome shadow over Amy's new business. To save her reputation and seek justice, Amy attempts to track down the killer and is sucked into something more than she ever anticipated. But with no witnesses and no motive, Amy's sleuthing is quickly mired in a growing list of suspects. The drunken security guard seemed to have nothing to hide, but the same cannot be said for the angry dog walker. Then there’s the bitter cat lady whose feline café was losing money; and of course, the quick-talking little old lady… MURDER UNDER MoPac is part of a series of fun page-turning cozy mysteries set in Austin, the capital of Texas. Pick up this TOTALLY ABSORBING COZY MYSTERY FULL OF STUNNING TWISTS AND TURNS. (THIS SERIES CAN BE READ IN ANY ORDER.)

Mrs. Foreman owned a pet grooming business. Business was good. She was planning a new venture. She had one employee. Lizzie loved working with the dogs. Mrs. Foreman had a late night vistor. It was the last person she would ever talk to. Who had a reason to kill her? And why? Amy has her work cut out for her solving this case. A lot of twists and turns to keep you turning pages. Secrets, lies, deceit. This story is well thought out and well written.
I voluntarily received a copy of this book and I'm voluntarily posting a review. My opinion is entirely my own.

This is the last book so far in the series. I read them all straight through. The characters are fun and the stories tend to keep you guessing. Like all of the books, there are plenty of suspects who all have a good motive and most appear to have the opportunity as well. Amy is her usual, inquisitive self and drags Danielle along into the fray. For the length of the boom you get lots of action, interesting people and a good ending. Great book for relaxing and stretching your brain.

Murder under MoPac

Very enjoyable reading! Amy King is a likable character as are the other characters in this series. They have a consistency in their mannerisms and reactions. The plot is well thought out overall and the side stories about Amy's daughters and their husbands are entertaining also.

Family business intersects the murder business

Amy King and Danielle end up in the midst of the dog walking, dog pampering and cat gourmet food crowd. Some people are odious pieces of crap and others are just a murderer! Now, its time to sift through all the possibilities to get to the bottom again of it.

I really enjoy reading about Amy and Nick. The staging businesswoman, her husband and their adult children. The tension is just right and it's easy to get into the story. I must admit that I look forward to finding out what's happening with the rest of the family as much as I'm looking forward to reading about Amy herself. There are so many different layers of this book. Absolutely worth a read.

Another great book in this series

As usual there are a few suspects for this murder, all with genuine reasons to dislike the victim. It is not till the end that our sleuthing duo Amy & Danielle reveal the killer. Enjoyed the other characters that appeared in this book and feeling part of Amy’s family with all its ups and downs. Can definitely recommend.

Another fun addition to the Amy King series. Being an animal lover, I enjoyed the book since it focuses on dog grooming salon and animal shelter.

Looking forward to more in this series.

Received an advanced copy for an honest review. All opinions are my own thoughts.

Another Texas Murder!

I love reading stories based on places I’m familiar with! Great cozy story! Would have given it a five but I kept getting the funny names confused. Maybe just me though. Anyway, these books are to die for:)

Life is not in Austin

This was the different side of Amy in this story. Her staying business is the sideline, whereas, her detective business with Danielle is the main story. Fast paced & a story you can pick up anytime. I didn't. I read it in a morning!

Amazing as always. Totally enjoyable, with humour and suspense together. Amy and Danielle are busy solving a murder of why someone would do this. Ready for more.

Curious-er and curious-er

Well this time Amy and Nick definitely have their hands full. It involved puppies, other small animals, strange neighbors, a local bar, the property owner and others. My what a strange mix!
