Outback: The Amazing Animals of Australia: A Photicular Book

Rate this book
Embark on an eye-opening adventure in the land Down Under, and see eight creatures in astounding motion. From the New York Times  bestselling series.

Using Photicular® technology that’s like a 3-D movie on the page, OUTBACK whisks you to the vast, remote world of wild Australia, where heat waves dance forever and animals, isolated by the vagaries of continental drift, are unlike those found anywhere else on Earth.

Each moving image delivers a rich, immersive visual experience—and the result is breathtaking. The kangaroo hops. A wombat waddles. The frilled lizard races on two legs across the desert floor. A peacock spider dances and shows off its vibrant colors. Experience it for yourself!

Come for the impressive moving-photo tech; stay for the fun facts about kangaroos, galahs, wombats, echidnas, and other unique Australian animals (did you know wombat poop is cube shaped, that kangaroo populations have double to twice the human population of Australia in the last decade, or that echidna babies are called “puggles”? Now you do.)

Another great Photicular (lenticular lens-based) book, with engaging animations and just the right amount of information about each animal for kids (and adults) with a general interest in animals: a good combination of useful info and unexpected fun facts. Did you know wombat droppings are cubic?

Fun book with sort of 3-D, animated critters from Australia. Grandson thought it was cool.
