I liked this book. Black and White have reunited after all their training, including another gym defeated. Black has 1 more to go.
White got to see Gigi again, and I hope that one day Gigi will take the opportunity to be with White again.
We got to see N again, he was a little scary in this one.

This volume starts off with N trying to tame Zekrom, and this dude is saying some very alarming things about being a hero.

Then, cut to Black taking on Brycen. It was somewhat frustrating that Black keeps pausing the battle to ask questions and talk about the white orb. You couldn't do that after? Eventually, Black takes the win, but when he finds out Drayden moved up the Pokemon League competition, it throws him for a loop. He decides to catch a legendary pokemon to impress his way into the League without having earned all eight badges. He ends up at Mistralton Cave thanks to a tip from Iris and throws down with Virizion, Terrakion, and Cobalion there. I love their psychic dialogue about how much they hate humans. They take themselves so seriously, but Black does somewhat nudge at that hate a little with his heroic attempt to rescue the Patrat. I wasn't a big fan of the princess and performer characters, but I guess their reconciliation and reunion with their pokemon was a little heartwarming. I'm not made of ice, yeesh!

Virizion, Terrakion, and Cobalion vanish and we cut away toward Route 6 where Alder is taking on N. N defeats him even without using Zekrom, and despite feeling sad for Alder, it was cool to see Gigi in action. And good gravy, that is a wild look in N's eye during the battle. This is clearly going to be a problem.

Black and Iris meet up with White and they have a cute little reunion where White is showing off her new pokedex, and they all stumble into the last part of N and Alder's fight. The kids confront N, and old man Professor Juniper shows up with his Samurott, and there's this epic shot of the three starters fully evolved.

N calls out the professors for treating pokemon like objects, and he's not technically wrong. Everyone's nervous to take on N with his Zekrom, and Musha... LEAVES!!! Oh, my heart!! Okay, I'm really sad for Black that Musha abandoned him, but it created symmetry with White's story, so it was a clever plot device. Black is understandably devastated, the artist does a great job of showing his distress.

Old man Professor Juniper's pokedex is destroyed, and the volume closes off with a tease showing us Looker's backside and his ridiculous fake glasses.

I must have stopped reading this series about two volumes back or so, because none of these events seem familiar. The musketeer Pokémon make their appearance in this volume all together for the first time. I have to say, I was kind of thrown off that some of the text is their thoughts so it is like the Pokémon are speaking. I mean, this isn’t Meowth! Plus Black continues his training with Brycen in an attempt to get ready to take down N and Team Plasma.

Otro tomo excelente de esta saga. Avanza la historia y aunmente la tensión bastante bien. Lo que no me encantó fue que pareciera que quierem involucrar a todos los legendarios de Unova/Teselia. Se sintió en este caso como algo para alargar la saga. Los capitulos que se les dedican estan buenos y dsifruté bastante leyendolos. Solo espero que tengan un papel mas adelante.

while reading this book, I learned that I am terrible at pronouncing these Pokémon names. Have no fear lil man was ready to correct me every time! ok so I might mess up a few of them on purpose just to hear him lose his mind!

Black has a very steep hill to climb and he must do so without a long-time friend. Things are getting interesting. Team Plasma is the most formidable foe I've seen in a Pokemon manga.

This is an alright set of chapters that follow Black's slow development. I don't particularly like how White caught a bunch of Pokemon off-screen.

N is making good points again… all trainers could release pokemon from their balls so they can choose to be with their trainer or not. Why force them…

Things heat up in this volume due to N's release of Zekrom, the pokemon league being moved up to next week instead of taking place months from now (due to the missing gym leaders), Black's battle with Brycen and N's challenge of the champion, Alder.

An action packed volume with things speeding towards an ultimate clash between N and Black. Things keep getting more and more interesting with every new volume and my only hope is that the outcome just doesn't fall short. With all of this build up it would be disappointing if everything is resolved too quickly. Overall a great volume that has a lot going on in so few pages.

This series is so so good; Black getting stronger in order for the pursuit or truth in order to combat ideals-just ah! This is also a step up from the previous volume.
