KEY WEST: TWO BIRDS ONE STONE When a cruise ship, bound for Key West, is robbed of twenty-million-dollars in jewels, all fingers point at Cam Derringer. Cam faces his most difficult challenge yet-staying a free man. Events become worse when Cam is charged with dealing in drugs and then murder. Someone wants him behind bars and will stop at nothing to see him there. Cam knows something is amiss when he is visited by two clients, each looking for the other. Both he discovers to be lying about their identity and their intent. With Jack Stiller, watching his back and three of the most powerful women in Key West on his team, Cam fights for his life. With a new twist around every turn, Derringer decides to become the hunter, instead of the hunted. When his daughter is kidnapped, he loses sight of his mission and sinks further into the trap. What they don't realize is that Cam will stop at nothing to protect the women he loves and they will never let anyone harm their man.
This was the third Cam Derringer title of Mac Fortner's that I've read, and while the first two were great, this one was OUTSTANDING. I wanted to take my time with it but that didn't happen. I 'binge read' it. Yeah, it's that good. Twists, suspense and unpredictable characters all combine to make for a roller coaster of a read that now has me 'Jonesing' for the next installment of this series!
Cam is in a pickle and the three women who love him most are determined to save him. Someone is trying to set Cam up for a jewelry heist, coke possession, murder times 3 and the number keeps growing. Kailey, Robin, Diane and Jack are in for the fight of their lives to keep Cam out of jail. This is another exciting adventure of our favorite PI and there is action, adventure and naked hot tub talks.
Mac Fortner reminds me of Stuart Woods. Cam Derringer is Stone Barrington in Key West instead of New York City. To me that analogy holds true in a lot of different ways -- good stories, good characters, just too much stuff that doesn't help the story (for me), Anyway, this was a good story, and it had all the right people involved, and the turn at the end catches you by surprise. But I'm sure it will be resurrected in the future (if I continue to read the future books).
I loved reading this series of three books 📚back to back to back......binging like crazy. Next the Sunny duo. Here's hoping you don't stop writing. I will look forward to following your successes and thanks for moving to my top spot of writer du jour......XLNT.....A+++++++
Really good. Lot of jumping around. Cam gets in trouble again and the girls come to his aid. Takes awhile to find out what's going on but the focus helps. Cam has to deal with both girl friends and dodging the sheriff trying to put him in jail for an assassin hatred of Cam. Can't seem to put these stories down.
Sad to say this great story but hard to believe can and kailey won't be there together first robin how Hailey no one to save can maybe Walter will help can who knows ??? Guess I'll read the next in this series ciao from a very wet costa rica.......
