From there, it gets messy. A sudden change in fortune makes Charlie’s ex the key to his salvation on two fronts. His livelihood is at stake as is his happiness. Every guy does need a Carly in their lives!

That is one of best part of a David Stone book; the intelligent, funny, sexy, and "tell-it-like-it-is" female sidekick and in book her name is Carly. Carly is the one that makes you think, "You idiot, why would want anyone else." Then you remember, oh yeah... this is fiction.

I have read most all of David Stone's catalog, I think is writes the best characters. He doesn't get tied down to any one genre. Unfortunately, that may have been why this book fell below the bar. The book is based around the Charlie's feeling towards is ex-wife's infidelity. After his divorce, his sexual horizon expands with multiple female encounters, group sex among co-workers, and the desire to get back with is ex. So this book has a lot swinging, hotwife, and cuckold themes through out.

As it is, this book is a fun read with great sex and fun characters. However, I would have enjoyed it more had the author focus more time on the ex-wife's infidelity. Is the sexual act the infidelity, or are the circumstances leading up the act the infidelity? Has Cheryl, the ex-wife, been scandalized by her ex-husband's actions after her divorced? I think it would have played well in cuckold genre
and been a more compelling read.

If you haven't read David Stone before, I suggest you start with another book (any other one in the Wife Chronicles series). Once your hook on his writing (and I think you will be), come back and read this sex charged romp.

🚫 S P O I L E R 🚫

Solo suelta excusa tras excusa.

Good, But Not My Favorite

I like all of David’s books but this is probably my least favorite.

A wife sleeps with an old boyfriend while at a convention. She’s thinks it is alright because of a brief conversation her and her husband had about the subject. He felt different and quickly divorced her.

Six months later he’s sleeping with two different women but misses and still loves his wife. All of their mutual friends thinks he overreacted and should try to get her back.

With the help of their friends they start to talk. She also says he overreacted and should’ve thrown her out. Now there’s my problem with the story. She’s the one who cheated and never really owns up to it. She never even showed much remorse. Of course her requirement to reconcile is an open marriage. I just felt the author missed the mark on that.

Nevertheless, a well written tale by this great author.

Sex with a plot

David Stone shows us once again why his books in the hotwife genre are so popular. He not only writes in plenty of erotic sex scenes, but he includes them in a story with an interesting plot. His characters are well-developed and believable. In this story, Charlie and Cheryl suddenly divorce after she returns from her class reunion and admits to having a fling with her highschool boyfriend. Meanwhile, Charlie is plenty busy with one of his co-workers And a young Cuban woman. As the story develops, Charlie realizes that he acted in haste by divorcing Cheryl. Through numerous interaction between characters, all of which are hotter than a cob pipe, Charlie reunites with Cheryl and the party continues. I recommend this and all of Stone's writing as top shelf reading. Thank you David Stone!

One of Stone's best. Good story with some angst and lots of good sex. Interesting points of view from the author, as usual. Likeable characters. Can't put it down from beginning to end. Enjoy!
