Art history professor Nora Barnes and her husband, along with her parents and sister, are vacationing on Achill Island, a little stunned to find that Nora's Uncle Bert the Bastard and his family are there, too. When Nora finds Bert's body, she's afraid that her mother has finally snapped and attacked the brother-in-law she's always hated. As Nora and friends explore the island, she finds yet another dead body--but were they killed by the same person? And who was that person, as Nora stubbornly refuses to believe the murderer(s) was a member of her family?
