This was a nice and quick read.
Amelia was real nasty for what she did to her cousin/bff. Then she became a coward instead of facing her truth. She thought she was going to push up on Remo, but that didn’t happen.
Remo struggled growing up, but he doesn’t have to struggle anymore. He also has the girl he’s always wanted.

Despite Remo's tough childhood, he stayed strong and received what he deserved in the end, especially the woman of his dreams. Great 1st read by this author

Good

Wow from just hitting his truck to finding out they where family to building a relationship only to come in and find him dead! Just when things was looking up it turned! However remo getting ready to build his family with his goddess is what will make him still be whole! This story was a good story because you never know how many people are battling the same issues in real life but just keeping it bald up! From the cousins to the uncle and nephew! The one thing that I loved about mai is when she said listen with a open heart! People tend to not want to listen listen and sometimes that is what they need to do

Great Read

This is my first read by this author and hopefully, not my last. Enjoyed the storyline and these characters. Loved that it was set in Birmingham, Alabama being I'm originally from Alabama. Really loved Remo, he was born in circumstances out of his control and overcame it all. His name meant strong warrior and that's exactly what he was. He was his own man and didn't take anything for anyone. Really loved Remo and Mahlia together and how the each had feelings for the other from a distance. Sad how Amelia let jealousy and self hatred consumed her. So glad how everything worked out and they got their happy ending. Job well done K. Larry.

Well Written

I love the way this book was written Remo was a different breed of a man the way he chose to live even though he was poor he didn't let no one get over or use him I glad he found that happiness and love he was looking for Maliha was his soul mate Mike Larry give him the answers he needed to put his mind at rest I hate the way Amelia took her life but she had to have more demons within overall this book was awesome I found myself a new author I would love to read more books from.

I liked this book

What a good storyline. I'm proud of Reno for taking the right way out. He was destined to be great. He took all his losses and kept positive. He stood and represented what he name meant. Mai was a good girl and had a good heart. Her and Reno were meant to be. Their story was destined to be fulfilled. Sad about her cousin. Jealousy and envy can ruin ant person or relationship.

Loved it!

This was a great read and I loved every page of it. I hated Amelia at first but I understood her a little better at the end. You just never know what someone is going through until it's too late some times. I'm glad that Remo finally got the truth about his life and he got his girl Maliha on top of that. I'm glad that Mike Larry came clean before his demise. Great Read!

A wonderful debut

What a great coming out book for this author! A wonderful debut and beautiful way to honor her dad. Remo pulls at my heart string, learning how he has struggled and survive life and his situation. He is a strong man and always demand his respect. I love how him and Maliha have love each other from afar, but things finally came together for them. I will happily recommend this author and will love to read a future story about Remo and Mai.

Bravo

Wow I am just blown away. This is a great book. It has reached my top 10. Yes I cried at the end. I knew something was wrong with Mike Larry, but was hoping he made it through after officially linking up with Remo. Depression is real and people hide it very well but action speak louder than words. I teared up when she Lia took herself out, cause I felt sorry for her. Take a bow this book us awesome.

B'ham is Lit

Remo was a true fighter, true survivor. He beat the odds, came out on top, and got the girl. Life was hard, but it will be less stressful following his millionaire status. Family and best friends should never do each other dirty. I felt sorry for Lia. She was so jealous hearted. Glad that the Larry name is not forgotten.

CITT: Birmingham

Amelia & Mahila were bff & first cousins but one of them held a dislike for the other one. Nigel was trash! Remo was just trying to be & do him. I love the connection he & Mia had prior to actually becoming a couple. Mike Larry was ruthless when it came to his business. I'm glad he did what he did even if it was in an unconventional way.

This book had me in tears. It was literally that good. Remo and Maliha were definitely destined to be together. I wished for a happy ending for all but in real life everyone does not get a happy ending. K. Larry I enjoyed reading this. Beautiful story.

Goddess

A good story. I loved that remo was able to finally find his goddess and live happily ever after. It showed that all lies have to resurface and you may like or not. Her cousin got what she deserved. Some boundaries are made to never be crossed. Great read.

Trials n tribulations

This was such a sad story but it’s was also a good message. Remo was a stand up dude and I understand why the mike did what he did. Some times when u step in poo 💩 u come out stinking and other times you come out smelling like a rose 🌹. The only person who didn’t use her poo as fertilizer to grow was Lia she let it take her out

This is my first read by this author

I really enjoyed this book bc it didn't deal with dope boys or bby mama drama. I just hated tht Lia committed suicide, it was nice tht Remo & Maliha finally told each other how they felt.Remo has a good head on his shoulder despite growing up without family he turned into a smart young man tht wanted no part drug game. I would love to read more stories like this one this author

From looking on the outside in you’d probably wonder how could Mike do that to Remo but I get it. Tough love made him a good man. Enjoyed this book.
