JESSE:

It began with his electric touch and a hurricane of frenzied passion that ravaged my body, my mind, my soul...my entire life.

We both knew where the line was, yet we crossed it because it was the only way we could be close to one another. We told ourselves it was nothing more than a fantasy--a beach vacay we could treat like a dream, cherishing it in our hearts, but evading the real life repercussions of our actions.

If only it had been that easy...

We couldn't keep away from each other, and one lust-filled encounter after another birthed a connection, which turned into so much more.

Now I'm head over heels for my best friend's father.

Oh, Eric Westright...you've changed me. I'm addicted to your touch. I'm a servant to your desires.

I kept telling myself it was nothing more than a dream, but now the thought of awakening from our life together terrifies me. I can't bear a world where I never knew what it was like to be lost in those magnificent blue eyes, to feel his caress against my face, his lips against my own...him loving me deep inside.

Oh, please, if this is all a dream, don't let me wake up. Let me have this. I know I messed up, but I can fix everything I've broken. I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel, and I'll make it right.

I'll do whatever it takes. Just please let me have him FOREVER.

*Contains the same triggers as BFF: Best Friend's Father and BFF: Claimed. This is the final installment in the Best Friend's Father series.

Devon McCormack grew up in the Georgia suburbs with his two younger brothers and an older sister. At a very young age, he spun tales the old fashioned way, lying to anyone and everyone he encountered. He claimed he was an orphan. He claimed to be a king from another planet. He claimed to have supernatural powers. He has since harnessed this penchant for tall tales by crafting worlds and characters that allow him to live out whatever fantasy he chooses. Devon is an out and proud queer man living in Atlanta, Georgia.

Devon's body of work ranges from erotica to young adult, so readers should check the synopses of his books before purchasing so that they know what they're getting into.

⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱*At Least I'm Done*⋰⋱⋰⋱⋰⋱

Well, wasn't this predictable. I know I said I wasn't interested in continuing after the first book, then I said the same after reading book two after some break between them (months), and then I just felt like I needed to finish the series as I hate not finishing a series. So now it's finished and I didn't enjoy it. I just couldn't. If I had to guess, I'm sure it's because of my detest of the first book and it kinda went out on the other two. The first book has a lot to say, specially if it's with the same characters for the series, and the first book was not for me at all. I know the moment we met Liam that he'd be an love interest for Ty; Eric's son and Jesse Morgan (23, turns 24) best friend. It was so damn obvious that it made me annoyed. Will the next books be a repeat with different characters? The only thing in the book that was alright, was the scene with Eric Westright (43) and Ty where Eric tells him his past (though not in deep detail, but enough to understand), and that was all.

Other characters:
Ty, the best friend of Jesse and the son of Eric. Seems like a brat. I don't feel like he should be angry or blame his dad for not being there; HE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW YOU EXISTED. Be mad at your mother for keeping it from you. From BOTH of you.
Allison, Baxter, Remy, Jax, Dexter, Will, Eric's crew of friends.
Stan and Charlotte, Jesse's adoptive parents
Tricia, Ty's mother.
Kelly, Ben, Ash and Xavier, friends of Jesse and Ty from the volleyball team.
Sam, works with Jesse; he's Sam's supervisor, Jesse has a team of six guys. Brenden works at the same team as Sam. Jack, one of the company’s Jesse works for employees’. Jack, who acts as a liaison between Jesse's department and some of the others in the company.
Liam McKinney, a very old friend of Eric, not part of his crew of Bastard Motherfuckers, but definitely one of his best friends in the world.
Julio, a swimsuit boutique owner. Martin, his partner.

“Oh, Jesse, how many times do you imagine I’ll need to tell you I love you before the nightmares stop? A couple hundred? A couple thousand?”
I laugh.
“More than that, you think?”
“I told you, it won’t do much good.”
“But would it kill me to try?” He winks, and now I can’t stop grinning.
“There we go,” he says, tracing his thumb through my dimple. “There’s my happy Jesse.” He moves closer, until his face is right before mine. “I love you, I love you, I love you…”
“I love you too,” I say, laughing as I lean forward and kiss him.
And as I pull away, he tells me once more, “I love you, Jesse Morgan.”

4 Stars!! 😍 Loved it!! 💕 This final book was such a treat.... it was sweet 😁, it was HOT 🔥, it was low-angst, it showed progress in their relationships and finally, it provided closure to all those issues that had opened up when Eric and Jesse first got together. 👨‍❤️‍👨
I have followed their story from when the first book came out; I had waited for the 2nd one.. but was a little disappointed with it due to the heaviness of the story-line (it was me and not the book).. but this final installment was both enjoyable as well as light as far as overcoming challenges is concerned🤩. Having dealt with the fall-out of their budding relationship and their own painful pasts, Eric and Jesse are now on firmer ground when the story begins. Their relationship is strong and full of passion 💖as always, but they have also started the healing and rebuilding process with Ty 💕(Eric's son/Jesse's best friend). Ty has also redeemed himself and turned a corner. His supportive and understanding attitude shows his growth too in this journey. Eric and Jesse reach a few milestones as well and I really liked how they never doubted their love for each other despite the day-to-day challenges. Although they've been with each other for only about a year, their strong bond seems like they have been together forever 💞. Of course, it raises the question of what's next for them, and there too both Eric and Jesse are on the same page 💘💓.
It is definitely a wonderful ending to a great series. What started off as a hot and lusty encounter became so much more in a year. 💖. Both Eric and Jesse are wonderful MCs and it's amusing to me that in many ways despite his age, Jesse is more mature than Eric 😉.
This is not a stand-alone and you definitely need to read the 2 previous books to understand Eric and Jesse's journey. Highly recommended to all fans of age-gap romances 😍(who have the patience to read 3 books before the MCs get their HEA). I for one, enjoyed the book and now I'm looking forward to Ty's story (his side story was a pleasant surprise💝)

The best HEA ever

I loved this book! Well honestly, I loved the whole series. I wasn’t sure how Devon McCormack would tie up the HEA that I needed (ahem we needed), but in true Devon fashion, he did an amazing job. This series was emotional, sexy, and heartfelt. I was hooked in from the beginning with the May-December age gap and first time gay tropes. What I didn’t anticipate was how emotionally invested we’d all get in having Eric and Jesse’s HEA. A huge thank you to Devon for writing us the best HEA.

For the best reading enjoyment, start with Book 1 in the BFF series.

My favorite of the series and the best I have read from this author!

This is the final story in the BFF series and they definitely need to be read in order. Eric and Jesse have come a long way since they first met in book 1, and I loved the depth of emotion between the two now. I also loved how they communicated, how they worked through Eric’s past trauma together, how they were finally in a good place, them and Ty, all together.

Now bring on Ty’s story! Yay!

So you know how you get really involved with a series, whether it be tv or a book like this, and when it's over, you feel like it's the end of an era or something? Yeah. I feel like I want to cry. I can't believe this is the last book. Although, I did see something at the end in the credits or author's page or something that makes me happy. Two certain people getting their story. Squeeeeeeeeeeee!
It's been so wonderful to see the journey of these guys, though. It has not been an easy one for sure. And this book threw in a few more surprises to keep things interesting. There has been such growth. I had to laugh at one scene in the book where they are talking about how things always seem weird in what they are involved with. But they roll with it. Devon has created so many flawed and seemingly broken characters that we've all grown to love. Even when we've been screaming at the book, going “Holy F@$K!” But in the end, it's always worth it. And the surprises at the end of this one were more than worth it. And I don't think this series could have ended on a better note.
If you've kept up with this series, you know some major secrets have been shared between Eric and Jesse. If you haven't read this series yet, go back and read the first two. There's a lot going on you need to know before tackling this one. Anyway. After reading what happened with Eric, I was so super proud to see he was getting help. And not even just the help. But seeing that he was letting Jesse in. Really in. Makes you feel like a proud parent. Yeah I'm weird. But it was so beautiful. He has never let himself be that vulnerable with anyone but Jesse and Jesse got it. Jesse got how big of a deal it is for Eric to let him in and work with him in resolving what was going on with Eric. Any time you let yourself be that open with anyone is super duper hard. But the rewards are so freeing. And so worth it. And it was overwhelmingly amazing to see how Eric gets feel when the cloud starts to lift.
As for Jesse, he's never felt more in love. He knows how hard it is for Eric and he's so proud. But Jesse has his own demons too. It's not all sunshine and roses all the time. Hell, no relationship ever is. But Jesse's demons show more growth with them, too. They are both open about what they are feeling or going through and are there for each other in ways never before. And Jesse has to learn not everything he does wrong is the be all end all of everything in his life.
Both of these guys have had to learn a lot. And are still learning. Things that happen in the past are not something that is just easily gotten over. The feelings, the fear, the doubt, all remain often until the day we die. It's just a matter of how we deal with them and how we let it affect our lives and others around us. These two love each other with all they are but it still takes work. Although, it's one hell of a gorgeous, emotional journey that they've taken so far. As they grow and let go, it becomes evident it everything around them.
Including with Ty. And that made me super duper cry. Oh. My. Gah. We all know it's been just as hard on Ty during this. But even that relationship has taken a new turn. Just you wait and see.
I hate that this is the last installment for this series, but all good thing must come to an end….or so they say. This is another one of those series I will be rereading over and over again. It's been a hell of a ride.

I remember I read the 1st book of this series with no real expectations but it kinda surprised me. It started basically with lots of steamy sex, but then it turned out pretty serious with Eric’s issues and past. Not gonna spoiler.

Anyways, we got here to the final book and I can say I enjoyed it. It’s sweet and super supper extra hot but it has some intense moments that gives the story some depth. But there’s A LOT of sex, so if you take issue with that (I don’t the more the merrier).

If there’s one thing that bothered me was that both guys were to mushy. At some point the ILYs and the can’t live without you and you’re my moon and stars and blah blah got to be too much. It’s like ok I get, you love each other, moving on.

But all in all I liked it and I am super excited about Ty’s book.

From book one I was hooked on Eric and Jesse. This series is full of heart and heat. The connection between these two guys jumps off the page and burns you up in the best possible way. Their physical connection is only outdone by their emotional one. I love how supportive and encouraging they are with each other.

This story follows the progress they have made in the year they have been together. Individual growth that leads to a stronger bond to each other. Seeing the work they put into each other and themselves shows the commitment they have established.

They also have made the effort to forge a better more open relationship with Eric's son Ty. I loved seeing them develop a new family life. Now I can't wait for Ty's book!!! Love this series!

✔ Letto!
Per me è ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤

4.25* liked it much better than book 2. the beginning felt again bad timed, the rhythm kind of off. I felt like the MCs did nothing but having sex when they were together. But as the story progressed it really got better. A bit corny, but I liked the sweet turn of the story.
I‘m really intrigued how Liam‘s story will be.

This series, while being very heavy on heat has a deeper undercurrent of a topic that is still absent from many stories, and not always dealt with well. I think the greatest achievement Devon has in writing these books is taking the subject of sexual assault and showing how long and hard the process a survivor goes through. He also takes other conflicts, like age gap relationships, family fallout and navigating all these things with maturity and grace.
I was very happy to see their story come to a HEA in the pace that was right for them, and getting to healthier life and relationship together.

Aw, this was a sweet ending to this series. I loved seeing Eric and Jesse’s HEA. And that epilogue was everything.

Things that annoyed me:
- it still dragged a bit and felt like it was too long and the story could have been told much more efficiently at a better pace
- I was annoyed that they were STILL talking about their guilt about Ty. They have been together a year at that point, this shouldn’t still be a discussion point. Get over it.

But it didn’t take much away from me enjoying the book. Loved these guys, such a great couple!

4.5

For all my moaning, I kept reading this series, and I’m not angry with myself that I did.

The two MCs aren’t really distinguishable from each other internally. I kept wanting to scroll back to see who the point of view was at the beginning of the chapter. A header with the name of the narrator would have been good.

The sex was slightly more varied than in the last book. (There’s a lot of it, so the monotony is noticeable) and less therapy therapying.

The series resolves in a satisfactory manner.

I said I wasn't going to read it but I did.... This series could have easily been 1 book remove most of the sex scenes and had actual story. I love a hot read but this was more sex than story. I guess on a positive note the series is done with and has an HEA. Hopefully Ty and Liam's book will be just that a book and not a series......

Mr McCormack surprises me every time. Whenever I think I know what type of story he's writing he throws a curve ball and delve deeper into the character's psyches, stirring up emotions and pulling on heartstrings.
Great end to the series. Can't wait to read Ty's story.

Oooohh my, I’ve waited forever for this book!! See what I did there? No, but seriously. I was anxiously waiting for this beauty to drop onto my Kindle. Eric and Jesse … what a wonderfully complicated May/December romance with that added taboo thrown in. And I’m not even going to start about those gorgeous covers … there’s just something about Mr. Reardon that makes those books he is on an auto-buy for me. Sigh.

This couple is everything I love about MM romance. Complex, raw and adventurous wrapped into one beautifully inspiring love story. That kind of story, of couple, that will still be on my mind long after I finished reading. Hello, book hangover.

BFF Forever was seriously worth the wait. Never mind my ridiculously high expectations – this book surpassed them. It’s all the beautiful things and then some. This pure, ground-shaking love these two share is epic. So much more than forbidden attraction and curiosity. Their connection runs bone-deep – and it only becomes deeper, their bond even more devoted to one another, the more they learn about each other through the good and the bad in equal measure. Major swoon. Seriously!

All the romance. All those heart-melting, beautiful words. I can’t even. All that paired with a good dose of humor, Jesse’s swoon-worthy patience and understanding for everything concerning Eric, his wisdom far beyond his age and Eric’s vulnerability and unshaking willingness to brave it all … perfection. I could go on forever, but will stop it here.

It’s the same with the story: Although the second book ended in a wonderful way, for me, it just wasn’t enough. I’m still ready for more. More emotional, teary-eyed moments and all the things in-between. It’s hard to say goodbye to a power couple like this one.

But at least now Mr. McCormack gave us something new to anticipate this time around. I cannot even tell you how excited I am for Ty’s story!! …and I won’t even be sorry if Jesse and for sure Eric have cameos once again :)

There are parts of the book that were difficult to read, and some of them I was unable to read and had to go through the page to the end.
This author showed how the real world really works, in every word he put in the book.

Jesse & Eric 4 ever (an audio review)

Boyfriend. Have we really come so far, so fast? With Eric, everything’s been fast. From the moment we met, hell, the moment we laid eyes one each other, it was like we were on a speeding train heading straight for disaster and disregarding every warning as we grew more and more enamoured with one another despite how recklessly we found our way into the biggest sh#tstorm of my life.

Jesse will be the first one to admit that falling hard and fast for his best friend’s father has been very challenging. Not only did he have to face the wrath of his friend who believed he’d been betrayed, but he’s also had to conquer his own feelings. He comes across as confident, but he has moments of hesitation. Hurting his best friend Ty was never part of the plan, but it was sort of inevitable. The last book ended with an entente cordiale of sorts and this book begins with Jesse and Ty hanging out. Most of the awkwardness is gone, but their friendship isn’t quite back to where it was – and maybe it never will be. But that’s okay because they’ve forged a new bond.

Eric fought his feelings for Jesse because he understood their relationship would hurt his son. He and Ty’s relationship has always been fraught with landmines but Ty saw the relationship between his father and his best friend as them excluding him. He believed he was losing everything. In the end that wasn’t the case, but I could understand hurt feelings.

This book takes up where the last book left off – with Eric and Jesse navigating their unconventional relationship. Eric is still dealing with the issues from his childhood that have plagued him and Jesse’s unconditional support is something to admire. He wants Eric to fight his demons and he’s happy to be there every step of the way. Even if it means Tango lessons and plenty of therapy. I admire Eric for wanting to face his past and know that most people wouldn’t be that brave. I love that he’s willing to do this not just for himself but for Jesse as well. They have a great relationship but Eric knows there are depths that can only be accomplished if he’s able to heal from the hurt.

Part of that healing involves confronting his past and I admit being in tears during one particularly painful scene involving someone from his past. Someone who he’s always cared for but he pushed away because of what was done to him. Tears for healing, right? And when the final barrier was busted, I cheered.

As time moves on, Jesse and Eric each see they want more from the relationship but both question whether it’s too soon. (Hint – it’s not.)

I was startled that one of the chapters near the end had a different POV character. It shook things up a bit but also opened up the possibility for a future book where Jesse and Eric will undoubtedly pop up. So, yay, more of my two favorite guys.

I cannot say enough good Michael Pauley’s narration. He was perfect for this book and I was glad he helmed all the books in the trilogy. Needless to say, I recommend all three. You’ll fall in love with Jesse and Eric just as I did.

All the love for this amazing couple!! What a wonderful and inspiring love story. I’m still on cloud nine, this is going to be an awful book hangover.

It’ s been a long time since I anticipated the release of a book the way I have this one. I’ve just been so curious about what else was in store for Jesse and Eric. It didn’t feel finished, or maybe I just wasn’t ready to say goodbye yet. Honestly, my expectations were so high, I was almost afraid to start reading. I held back for about five seconds and then I was all in. And it was everything I hoped for and more. All the romance. All the love. All the feels. Absolutely worth the wait.

The love these two characters have for each other just feels so all-encompassing. It goes way beyond the bliss of the initial attraction and early butterflies straight into the deeper joy that comes when you’ve gotten to truly know each other, the bliss and comfort you find in being there for your partner through the good and the bad, and knowing that the reverse is true as well.

The author did an amazing job at describing how utterly gone Jesse and Eric still are on each other. Their devotion, the sheer magnitude of their love was an immense pleasure to read. I soaked up every word. Each time I read the words “my Eric”, I about melted on the spot from the sweetness of it all. Jesse’s humor, his limitless patience and understanding, Eric’s bravery and the vulnerable side he shows in this book… It was all just … wow. No words can do this story justice.
I was so happy about the way all the “loose ends” were resolved. Just so glad how it all worked out for Eric, Jesse and Ty especially. There were quite a few family moments that were very emotional, a bit painful, and a lot teary, but full of love and hope for the future.

I very much enjoyed all the wonderful secondary characters like aunt Connie, Charlotte and Stan, and even Tricia. Not to mention the loyal bands of friends both Eric and Jesse have. A lot of potential there for other future stories! So I’m happily readying myself to play the waiting game again.
