Angelo Vitali: The whole story.
What happens when he meets
Antonio
Bobby

Multiple points of view, interesting characters - mostly well developed, darkish, dirty.

If you like MM mafia, you will probably love this.

Fascinating...

I loved this and couldn’t put it down ! The tale of a sadistic mafia boss who collected two partners, Bobby as submissive and Mark as a switch. Bobby was an aggressive firecracker who fought with passion but eventually submitted to Angelo and despite his attempts to kill Angelo, knew he loved him deeply. Along comes Mark to join the family after being turned from his FBI role. Submitting to Angelo only through force, he often topped Bobby to keep him in line. This dynamic really worked. Angelo was like the chess player, always one step ahead, who ruled with an iron fist. Bobby had a level of loyalty, despite his words, and relied heavily on Angelo and Mark to control him. Mark was strong and righteous- despite knowing he’d crossed to the dark side, he had a serious soft spot for Bobby and a begrudging respect for Angelo. This series was dark, gritty and ruthless - I loved every minute of it !

The first three books in this quartet had me solidly intrigued. It was twisted in the best way, like a curious game of cat and mouse, mixed with a little Stockholm syndrome. The story kept moving along at a good pace, and I never saw some things coming. But by the 4th book I found I wasn’t interested in how Angelo came to be, I only wanted to see where these men were heading. So the last story I struggled to finish and I ended up skimming.

The characters in this box set are fascinating and compelling, and I recommend these books to anyone looking for an interesting, complicated, evil, can't put it down series.

Taken Boy is a uniquely dark, M/M, novella delving into one of the characters we were introduced to in an earlier book. In this story Ms. Renard takes us into the soul of two men, and allows us to watch how their interaction causes each of them to change and develop. Rarely, have I ever reacted so strongly to a book. There were times my heart would thump and I would almost forget to breathe. There were twists and turns and surprises that kept me on the edge of my seat. First, I could not stop reading, and then I wanted to stop - so it would NEVER END!

Perfect Evil is another fascinating story. Loki Renard is able to use her skill with words to stimulate my imagination, whereby I was drawn into lives and events that previously never even entered my mind. We are able to watch crime boss, Angelo Vitali in action, as he lures, coerces, saves and ruins a young FBI agent. This agent's reactions are unique to his personality, and we are allowed to observe as he struggles with his own moral compass. His character possessed an intensity and depth that enticed this reader. In addition, Angelo Vitali is one of the most complex characters I have ever encountered. He follows his instinct, which thus far has served him well. He is highly intelligent and brilliantly manipulative. He is treacherous and menacing, yet conversely, alluring and compelling. He patiently and confidently waits until his human prey fulfills the destiny he himself has orchestrated.

Pure Evil is book three in this set. When I began this series of connected, yet standalone stories, I was not sure what to expect. I feel like I stepped out of my original comfort zone to embark on a thrilling, exciting, unpredictable ride into places and with characters I had never considered learning about. Pure Evil continued to intrigue and seduce me with the unbelievably awesome twisting and turning minds and bodies of these individual, and Oh My Goodness, how much I loved it!! Somehow, in this book, good and bad intermingle and merge and become almost indistinguishable. Each character is unique and composed of many layers, and getting to know them has been a mind-boggling adventure.

In Angelo, we learn WHY! When you are describing how a monster was made, there must be horrific occurrences. Loki skillfully lured me to the very edge of that horrifying precipice, where she coerced my own imagination to experience the plummet.

When I read these stories, I was entirely transported to a different time and place, where I felt things I never thought I would or could. Thank you, Loki!

This great collection of books takes place in the 'House of Vitali'. They include:
1. TAKEN BOY
Bobby Cornoli had worked, struggled, and fought for everything he had. He was in a prime position where he had both minor and major players in the Underground on the run until he was faced with Angelo Vitali. To quote Angelo, Bobby "was a demon and every demon needed a Devil". This short, easy to read Novella is part of the House of Vitali collection that will keep me in its grip from start to finish. There were a few times I was so shocked by a surprise that seemingly came out of the left field. It was then I realized how incredible Loki Renard had been when creating not only Angelo's world but her characters as well.

2. PERFECT EVIL
Mark had only been an FBI agent for three months. Not really enough time to contradict his partner or the older agents. They were on a stakeout trying to find something, anything, on Angelo Vitali and his son/love Robert Vitali. Mark is sent into a gathering of the Underground, alone and unarmed, as a male escort. Shortly thereafter, gunfire comes into play and he's shot in the arm. That's when Angelo helps him up off the floor and escorts him out of the building and into his vehicle where Robert drives them to the estate. Loki Renard has created such a nail-biting, gut-wrenching, sit at the edge of your seat book with this one. I thought the first book, 'Taken Boy', was intense but 'Perfect Evil' just took that prize for me. I can't wait to start 'Pure Evil'.

3. PURE EVIL
I'm sitting here trying to find the words to give a proper review of this book that has just BLOWN MY MIND. I don't want to give anything away because I know for a fact once you start reading this, you're going to be like me and want every delicious word. There are so many twists and turns I didn't see coming! Loyalties are questioned and put to the test. And is it mind games or strategy? Are those two words synonymous? The Vitali family is put to the test like no other time. You're going to want to read this and see where they go from here!

4. ANGELO: MAKING A MONSTER
I'm sitting here in a daze. What I thought I knew, what I thought I expected, what I thought I felt are definitely NOT what I ended with. Loki Renard has painted a virtual picture of the Vitali world and family that I certainly wasn't expecting but one that played out within my mind like a movie. 'Angelo' has pulled emotions from me that I truly did not expect to feel for this "monster" or their "family". This is an outstanding book.

Can three men survive Angelo Vitali—a force of nature who binds and shreds souls?

As an upstart “mob boss,” Bobby Cornoli thinks he knows it all. Next comes Mark Locke, a rookie FBI agent, supremely confident, even arrogant, in his belief that both Bobby and his boss are toast. Then in walks Damien Colt, an ex-marine and mercenary for hire. All three men think they know Angelo Vitali and what drives him. All three soon find they know nothing. Just who and what is Angelo Vitali? The better question is will their lives ever be the same again?

This box set includes three full-length novels (Taken Boy, Perfect Evil, and Pure Evil), all of which include Angelo Vitali as a whirlwind that spins everything and everyone around him into a completely unpredictable maelstrom. No one knows if they’ll survive or if they’ll even come out on the other side. Exactly who, what, is Angelo Vitali? In Taken Boy, Bobby seems to know it all but can he? In Perfect Evil, does Mark know anything once Angelo’s aura envelopes him? Could any of this be real? Then Damien shows up, and all three realize Angelo’s not what he seems…or is he? It’s that uncertainty, the power of Angelo’s personality, that pulls you into each of these books. Just when you think you’ve plumbed the depths of Bobby, Mark, and Damien’s souls, you realize it’s Angelo who is the key to everything. Without Angelo, NOTHING works. Machiavelli has absolutely nothing on Angelo Vitali! His brilliance, charisma, aura, the very darkness that surrounds and fills him, captivates and enthralls. This is Loki Renard at her very best! Congratulations, Ms. Renard! This box set contains three of your best stories, and deserves five stars!

A final note. This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language, dark themes, and sexual scenes. If you don't enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and Amazon websites. Please use these resources. I urge you to leave a review, but with a proviso. Please don’t leave a negative review when you know you won’t enjoy the book. It's not fair to the author. She works hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you'll object to a book's subject matter before you buy it, you're doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice.

Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!

Wow. What an incredible saga. The journey of a man who becomes a patriarch, methodically building his perfectly dysfunctional family, one man at a time. Calling this a romance would be blasphemous (more like a hatemance?). There's a lot of psychology and many specific MMM interactions that are so fascinating to me. It's almost omegaverse (yuck) when it comes to hierarchy play but without all the linguo & bestiality (& something that looks more like a hybrid of noncon & BDSM, especially those co-topping scenes). It's quintessentially human: Adapting in a world that is not a fairy tale & surviving, finding pleasure and solace, choosing your adversaries, allies and lovers. The mafia business was kept mostly in the background which suited me fine.
In the end this story reminded me of the Don't... series by Pyke but toned down in the torture porn & mental health issues dept. Angelo the mentor is going to stay with me for a long time.

Filthy, depraved, and utterly delicious - MUST READ!

I’m a big fan of Loki Renard but this is my first foray into her contemporary work. Also my first time reading M/M. I wasn’t sure what to expect but any expectations I would have had have been exceeded. Definitely not for the faint of heart, but I am so impressed. I loved this series and couldn’t put it down until I’d devoured every word. I really like the different perspectives and the time we get with each of the characters. And just when I thought I had someone all figured out, there’s another layer added. Rich characters with their own troubled pasts and scars they do their best to hide, a plot that kept me enthralled, incredible world building, brilliant writing... I could go on and on, but I’ll end by saying this series is fantastic and incredibly dark, but well worth the read if you appreciate those things.

Dark criminal m/m relationship

This could not really be considered a romance but the main character comes to love his captive in his own way. Angelo captures a young thug, named Bobby who is bothering the client of an associate. Angelo is a real criminal kingpin in New York, respected and feared. He sees Bobby as dark and vicious as himself but very immature and sets about to mold him using pain and pleasure. It is a dark and unusual relationship that lasts through the three books. We add in a FBI agent, more pain and pleasure, betrayal and criminal behavior over three years. This is a well written and very entertaining storyline if you like dark characters and hot sex.

Eye Opening.
The only reason I bought this box set was because I wanted to
read the House of Vitalli series. In order to understand the complicated dynamics between the characters I needed to know their backstory. Initially I felt somewhat coerced to read the B&B Box Set. However I'm so glad I did ! These stories have it all, intriguing plot, world class manipulations, characters you hate to love, dysfunctional relationships, depravity, mental instability, lust and steamy hot sex, and yes soul baring emotions, twisted, but emotions nevertheless. Now I really can't wait to read the next set of books I originally wanted. Beware reading these books may have you also worshiping at the altar of the Family Vitalli. You've been warned.

Mind blown!

Total mind f***! I just couldn’t stay away and I fell asleep reading this repeatedly during the few days I spent reading, in between studying. Ha! smh. So glad I found this gem and would whole heartedly recommend this to anyone who enjoys diving into this kind of dark and twisted romance. Angelo is beautifully cruel, alpha masculine and unforgettably seductive. Bobby and Mark are definitely shadows of themselves until Angelo comes into their lives, when the fun really starts. You won’t regret getting into this series, maybe get a bit dirty but you’ll enjoy yourself.

I loved re-reading the first 3, but my favorite was undoubtedly Angelo. 💜

Angelo is by far my favorite MC in this series. 😍 Getting his background and learning what makes him tick gives him some humanity, but he's still a crazy bastard!!! 😍😍😍❤❤❤

I want to know how the love triangle ends (because we all know it will... Bobby's unstable ass), but then again I don't, so I'll enjoy ignorant bliss assuming Angelo is immortal living with his boys for all eternity. 💜💜🔥

There is only one sure thing in life, death. The best compliment to life until death is pain. Pain and twisted love in the mafia, this is what you find in this book.
