I am Abigail Keam, the award-winning author of the Josiah Reynolds Mystery Series and the 1930s Mona Moon Mystery Series.
I am a professional beekeeper and have won 16 awards for my honey. I live in a metal house overlooking the Kentucky River. I have the great fortune to live near some of the most beautiful horse farms in the Bluegrass.
In addition to the Josiah Reynolds Mysteries, I also write the Princess Maura Tales (Epic Fantasy) and the Last Chance Motel Series (Sweet Romance).
I love animals, Kentucky bourbon, and chocolate. Now if they could combine bourbon and chocolate together, I would be in heaven.
I come from a family of storytellers, so it was only natural I would put my stories to paper. I do so hope my tales give you some pleasure and enjoyment. I would certainly love to hear from you. Signing off now to get back to writing. Yours truly, Miss Abigail

Another awesome mystery for Josiah and Asa and yes I am loving the mother-daughter team and I am hoping it continues as they work well together.
This mystery left me wondering if Detective Drake is going to be a new troublesome stalker for Josiah I'm not sure I like him at all. But Hunter got extra points in this story and I am hoping things work with him and Josiah I also hope Hunter sticks around for Franklin too. Lady Elsmere is just gorgeous and Charles always makes me laugh reading a Josiah mystery is like curling up under a cozy blanket.
As always, I love me some Josiah Reynolds. She's a sassy smart-ass, old-school lady. Tough as old shoe leather and twice as dainty.
This time, her daughter Asa plays a big part in the story, more than in the past. Asa is a cool, smooth character who could rain down death from the skies on her enemies, but who still loves her mother. She's an enigma and I like that.
The plot points are sharp and clear and pared down to the bones, providing a concise snapshot of crime and motive without sacrificing story. Josiah is one of my favorite characters, and I can't wait until her next escapade.
This series just keeps getting better! Abigail Keam brings Agatha Kristie style English murder mystery to the Kentucky bluegrass. These are a must read. Already pre-ordered the next installment that will hit the shelves in time for the holidays.
First off, I loved the details about the antiquing business. It's a world I never knew anything about until reading this book. I also love that things are finally starting to heat up between Hunter and Josiah. Maybe I could get over the unfair and abrupt demise of Josiah and Jake, because Hunter seems a lot more compatible with her. And of course, us Josiah Reynolds readers love Asa. What bothered me about this book was that the mystery wasn't completely solved. There were just assumptions and theories about what happened between the three guys, and how two of them ended up killed. Nothing was confessed, and the only thing that was solidly proven was that the antique distributor was involved. The twist at the end was good but kind of anti-climactic. I wish that, during the confrontation, the real killer would've at least had an "Oh, shit! I'm caught!" Expression. There were also a couple of unanswered questions. Like, Who claimed to have seen Josiah following Gage? And who ratted out Charles and Rosie to the cops? I really did enjoy adventure #12, but the way the mystery part of the plot was executed Seemed a little lazily written compared to the previous three books. Also, sorry to be nitpicky, but I just thought it was funny how, in the beginning of the book, Josiah was still hurting over how her marriage to Brandon ended and all the cruel things he had done to her. Then several chapters later, Josiah said that Asa had never gotten over what her father did, but Josiah herself was at peace with it. Then what happened at the end of the book, at Hunter's house, gave me the warm and fuzzies.
One Heck of a Whodunit with a Shocking Twist WOW!!! I honestly didn't see this one coming. Professional beekeeper, amateur sleuth Josiah Reynolds has been in a deep state of depression, with no idea of what's causing it. Been there, done that. But a murder once again not only makes her a suspect--when a bully harasses a friend of hers--but turns her life upside down again. What better way to get yanked out of your funk. Not to mention a visit from her wayward sociopath daughter, Asa. There's a bit of dark humor in this story but how the danger mounts up, too. As always, it takes the Reynolds women to find their way to the truth and save everyone. Except the murderer. Abigail Keam has once again pieced together a complicated mystery with a cast of great characters. Everyone is so real in these stories that you feel like you know them. I feel like every single one of them could be a neighbor or someone I've met along the way. Living in Lexington makes it even more real. The plotting is so well paced that I finished this book and never felt the time pass. Brilliant story, brilliant writing, brilliant characters. No wonder Ms. Keam is a master at her craft. Another 5 out of 5 stars.
Nothing seems to bring Josiah out of her depression like crime. When an antique sale and ball ends in a murder, Josiah steps up to try to find the murderer. This time, her daughter, Asa, is already in town, having arrived to try to discover why her mother has been unavailable for too long. Wit and intrigue accompany the cast of familiar characters to provide another enjoyable story
Two thumbs up. I have loved every book in this series and this one did not disappoint. As soon a new book comes out in this series I quit reading whatever I'm reading at the time to read it and I can never put it down until until I'm finished. In fact this book came out yesterday and I just finished it.....I can't wait for the next one.
Loved the book! The ending was a bit of a surprise but understood the why. The information on antiquities was quite fascinating. Learning to look for different things and where they're located. I also love the characters and the different personality of each and how well they interact with each other. The book, as usual, keeps you guessing till the end.

This is one series that I anxiously await the next installment. This one was as good as the rest. It felt different somehow but didn’t detract from the story. No one got Josiah in a trap or held a gun to her head. But still was a good book. Write faster Ms Keam!!
Can’t believe I’ve almost completed the current series seriously need some new books to this series pretty please they are such a joy and wonderful page turners so on to the current final book in the series woo hoo
I like this series. This author speaks to me in a way that I can’t get enough of her books. I love the historical anecdotes and just maybe Josiah has finally found happiness.
I love the Josiah Reynolds series! The characters are diverse and fantastic. I really enjoy the history of Kentucky that Ms Keam weaves into her writing. I’m hoping that Josiah will continue to find herself caught up in many mysteries to come!
Another great book in the Josiah Reynolds mystery series! The story keeps you engaged throughout the entire book. I love Josiah and the realness about her and the other characters. Looking forward to reading #13 in the series - Death by Deceit!
