The Kind of Girl who became an accidental heroine is back, and this time she's changing the world! And her friends and adversaries are all back, too, along with many new ones! The girl who was on her own covert mission is now suddenly in the spotlight as an international sensation. How will Lorraine deal with being the world goddess of peace while trying to figure out all scattered pieces of her own life? And what about Lorraine's real identity? Is she stuck now being a person that she isn't? If you enjoyed The Kind of Girl, the fun is just starting! Buckle up for the next ride on G.C. Allen's Lorraine Innis roller coaster and it's faster with even more twists and turns!
G.C. Allen's "The Girl in the Diamond studded Heels" is the continuation of "The Kind of a Girl", a quirky, oftentimes humorous depiction of the escapades of the main character, Lorraine Innis.
Lorraine is a likable heroine who finds herself in awkward situations with entertaining results, and her adventures continue in this latest installment. Many of the quirky cast of characters return from the first installment, and are just as enjoyable as they were in the first book.
I would definitely recommend this book to other readers seeking a fast-paced, clever romp in Lorraine Innis's world. It is a quick read and fun, but I would advise to purchase "The Kind of Girl" before reading this one, as it is a continuation. It is well-written and quirky and I can't wait for the next installment.
The adventure continues! When I finished book one, "The Kind of a Girl", and had so much fun with Lorraine Innis, I KNEW that this next book was going to be the ticket to another thrilling adventure! Oh, was it ever! What a whacky and wild ride it is!
The second book continues from where book one left us off....what is Lorraine going to do to complete this "mission" she has started? To get justice for the death of Martina. Well, she has a slight problem in getting this plan off the ground in that she's still forgetting to remember! Throw in the instant rocket to fame and stardom and now she's along for the ride. Oh the places she goes!
I love the characters in these books. They are some of the most outrageous and unforgettable of any I've ever encountered! Their escapades, capers, stunts and situations are a thrill a page! I especially liked the character Eugenia Bupp. She is a crude, blunt, crass and just "puts it out there" old lady and has her own "mission" to accomplish when her original plan fails to ignite. I laughed so hard at her quips and snide remarks. She's one BA lady!
Then, of course, I love Lorraine! I love her! She's become the world's newest sensation and all she wants to do is take care of her "business" but she doesn't remember that's what she wants to do! "" Oh, yes, you're right," said Lorraine, "how forgetful of me. No, I'm not supposed to know any of you. Am I?"" It's a crazy, mixed up world but she's along for the ride until she can jump off. I was so convinced of who Lorraine is but then.....who is she really?
The book has chapter titles that just add a touch that makes the book complete...well, until book three now! I enjoyed the titles and how they drew me to read more to see how they tied into the next chapter. Oh! AND THAT ENDING! I never expected what happened!
Ms. Allen's zany, uproarious, quirky, and witty humor shines throughout this book! I laughed so hard that my sides hurt and I had tears in my eyes! My husband thought I'd lost it! I enjoy Ms. Allen's writing style and how it makes me feel. It's a feel good kind of read that goes in so many unexpected ways.
Again, this is a read that took me on one hilariously wild and crazy ride with Lorraine! She's my new heroine! Or hero?! So, I really hope you will grab these books, punch your ticket and hop into these books! They are so entertaining and quite the adventure! I can't wait to continue the journey with Lorraine in "The Girl in the Aubergine Sandals"! I hope you will join me by reading these books!
I want to thank Ms. Allen for the copy of this book! It's wonderfully written and so much fun! Totally another 5 star Lorraine adventure!
The Girl in the Diamond Studded Heels by G. C. Allen is the second book in the Lorraine Innis Series. This second book takes right where the first one left off. The Girl in the Diamond Studded Heels is a quick and entertaining read. MMs. Allen has some of the quirkiest characters that you can’t help but fall in love with like Eugina Bupp she is an older lady one day 92 another day 104 but she has all her wits about and her awesome snide remarks will have you laughing out loud. Lorraine is another one of those characters you will absolutely love. What about Purvis Twankey? Reading this book is like going for a wild and crazy ride you just don’t know where it will take you. Once I started reading this I couldn’t put it down. Just when you think you have it figured out nope you are wrong there are just so many twists and turns. You will definitely be entertained from the first page until the last. I would highly suggest that you read the first book so that you have the full story because as I said this book continues right where the first one left off. A must-read for book-lovers that love fast paced, entertaining fun reads! I can’t wait to get my hands on book 3 The Girl in the Aubergine Sandals.
The gang of friends is back to continue the mission Lorraine Innis is on. It is where she had to do things with the MISSION . It has it funny point but Lorraine is on a mission and no one is going to stop her. She is strong and determined to get this mission accomplished like all things in her life. This has very strong part and very sad parts it is a emotional because Lorraine doesn't remember things and it is very well shown in the writing. I can't wait to read the next book to see where Lorraine goes and what happens nexts. The writing is amazing and the author is just totally fantastic with the way she wrote this book..I love reading G.C. writing it Is very well written.
G.C. Allen has done it again in the paradox tale of the main character, Lorraine. This accidental heroine has so many irons in the fire and burning the candle at both ends that you will feel you have been thrown in the washer and are on high spin. You will laugh out loud at the predicaments Lorraine finds herself, be flabbergasted at the adventures, and read and reread the descriptions of the characters. Lorraine wants to be hung out to dry but she keeps getting soaked.
I recommend this book to anyone who wants to laugh.
Gotta love Lorraine and the cast of characters , witty , sarcastic , funny remarks makes this read fun and entertaining, Lorraine wants to be anything but in the spotlight, thanks to her accidently saving the Russian president she is , still "forgetting" she remains strong and up to the task set before her. I look forward to what this girl will be up to next!

I loved the 2nd book as much as the 1st book. Lorraine Innis is at it again along with her quirky sidekicks. I laughed out loud in some spots, don't tou just love a book that can make you laugh? The book starts off with a recap of the first book so if you didn't read the first one you still know what's going on. All Lorraine wanted was to get her revenge and then the accident happens and her cousin: Valerieis in a coma and Lorraine becomes a symbol for peace everywhere, she can't even go out and buy a pair of shoes, what's a girl to do? I cant wait for #3 to see what happens next!!! Thank you #G.C.Allen for making me laugh! #TheGirlInTheDiamondStuddedShoes

I loved this second book in the Lorraine Innis series. The story line just keeps getting better and pulling you further in. The twists and turns, as well as laughs just kept me on the edge of my seat not wanting to put the book down. The main characters are so lovable and endearing, I cannot wait to read the third novel in the series The girl in the Aubergine Sandals to see where this story goes.
