I fell in love with right away
➳I met Krista Gold on Instagram & she was easy to chat with specially with me being so shy… I’m so glad that I pick up her book. It was very short & sexy read. I enjoyed her Writing skills. The characters are believable!
Let just say that that Allie Sinclair was having the worse day of her young life,, & from what I can tell things were only get worse( or did they?
➳Allie knew the last thing she need is to turn up for her interview at Hart Enterprises looking like she about to have a nervous breakdown. (Which mind you is was having) …The interview is for a high-pressure Executive Assistant role, for the one & only Lionel Hart
👄 Allie is basically 5 minutes shy to being late for interview, when gets into the get into the elevator with Mr. Sexy, before she know it that darn elevator stops & lights go out.
🔥Now Allie stuck in a elevator with Mr. Sexy & her mind is no longer on her interview, but on how cold & wet she is -literally in more ways than she should
I really like to read more about Nate & Allie… I know about you , but I’d like to know what happen on Monday !

January 28, 2019When the hero talks about the "scores of women" he has slept with or how he has a very "active, varied sex life" its huge turn off for me personally.
Also i hate how authors write about heroes who find the heroine to be super attractive because she doesn't know how attractive she is, its okay to be insecure ;i think most women are, but to put a negative connotation on the fact when a woman knows herself to be attractive is something we should stop encouraging, we want all women to feel beautiful and to be confident in their own skin.

This is a light fun read with some hot steamy sex in it.
This book was so good and I need to warn you this book ends on a cliffhanger and it is in just the moment you just need to know more! I am so frustrated over here I can see how this book can develop in so many ways and I can't wait to see what the author does next. These characters are so much fun and both have some backbone and attitude in them. They are perfect for each other and I can't wait to see how they will develop! I asked the author right after I read it and she is working on book 2 so don't worry.
This book was just like reading an intro to a really great book and then just cut, end, stop, nothing more! This cliffhanger is cruel. And it is so hard to write to much about the book without giving something away.
But do you like some office romance, one-night stand gone wrong, arrogant alpha male meets his match. Then hurry up and read this book!

An erotic elevator romance with a contemporary vibe.
Pretty good. I think this might be the authors first book, but you can’t tell. She did a great job with the story. To me it has more of an erotic contemporary short story vibe than a novella, but still a good read none the less. Two strangers stuck in an elevator with an electric attraction between them. Yeah... you know where this story goes, or do you?

This was a quick, hot read along the lines of Alexa Riley. Allie and Nate have instant chemistry. They try not to act on it, but are trapped in the elevator and decide to just go for it. I thought it as very well written, but the ending was a bit abrupt and incomplete. I'm hopping we will see these two again and get more of their story!

OMG, this book is hot. I am happy that I came across this book. I read this while I was supposed to be working and I am so glad that I did. I didn't want it to end. I need more of Allie and Nate. Krista is a new author to me and I can't wait to read what she has coming next.

Primer libro que leo de esta nueva autora y estoy encantada. Una lectura corta, rápida y divertida. Me encantará leer mas de ella, ya que tiene otra más por ahí. Principalmente me gusto, que cuando cambiaba la narración de cada personaje, de Allie y cambiaba a hablar Nate, o viceversa, no solo lo retomaba desde donde lo habían dejado, sino que tomaba momentos antes. Así se podía saber en un momento clave lo que pensaban ambos, sin perder esa información cuando cambiaba de narrador.
Nuestra protagonista, Allie, tiene una mala mañana, ya está atrasada y empapada cuando llega al ascensor para dirigirse a una entrevista de trabajo en el trabajo de sus sueños en Hart Enterprises. Todo era estresante para ella hasta que aparece Nate, que entra en el ascensor con ella, y hay una atracción instantánea. Cuando el ascensor se detiene debido a un corte de energía, la química está a flor de piel, en un espacio pequeño y durante una larga espera.
Disfruté esta novela y me encanto la escritura ya que es casual y auténtica. La verdad que la forma de pensar acerca de Nate y sobre ella misma me pareció muy real, ya que es lo que la mayoría pensaríamos, y eso me encanto. El final me deja entrever que puede haber más por venir para esta pareja y ojala sea así. Creía que iba a terminar de una forma, así que me tomo por sorpresa el verdadero final, pero estuvo genial. Tambien como Allie hizo frente al final del libro fue increíble.

When the lift stops due to a power cut, the chemistry is on the surface, in a small space, and during a long wait.
I enjoyed this novel and I loved the writing because it is casual and authentic. The truth that the way of thinking of her about Nate and about herself seemed very real to me, cause that is what most of us would think, and I loved that. The end lets me glimpse that there may be more to come for this couple and hopefully so. I thought it was going to end up in a way, so I took the true ending by surprise, but it was great.. Also how Allie faced the end of the book was incredible.

The whole book takes place in a little over an hour and the hero feels he may have met "the one". I know! But I actually really like it. It was fun and super sexy. The ending alludes to much more to come for this couple so I suspect another book is coming.

In my opinion a perfect novella is a complete story but leaves you wanting and anticipating more for the characters involved. Krista Gold accomplished that for me with her new novella Shaft. Shaft is a stuck in an elevator romance that will leave you hot and bothered.
Allie is having the worst morning ever. She slept through her alarm, its down pouring out, she forgot her umbrella, can't find parking and is late for her job interview. A job that she more than qualified for and desperately wants. Things go even more wrong when the elevator breaks down but maybe it's not the worst thing that could happen since she's stuck with one of the hottest guys she ever laid eyes on. Nate is also running late but the worst part about his morning is being stuck with Allie, but not for the reasons you think. He has sworn off his play boy, womanizing ways and Allie tempts him in all the ways he's trying to avoid.
Stuck in the elevator, Allie becomes a more confident woman and her attraction for Nate is undeniable. Nate controls his own attraction to her until she's standing before him in next to nothing and then his control snaps. Things get heated fast, and they both feel that what happens is more than just physical. However, when the elevator doors finally open they are slapped in the face with reality and their future has the possibility to be very interesting.
I loved both Allie and Nate, they were seriously great characters both with realistic insecurities and issues. The intimacy and sex between them was hot hot hot and a part of me wouldn't have minded them never making it out of the elevator lol Krista Gold's writing has grown since her first novel and this story benefited greatly by having both Allie and Nate's point of view. Also, that ending was perfect and I NEED their story to continue in a full length novel !!

Krista is a new author who 8 found on instagram. After a short conversation I agreed to try one of her books. This was a great book and it ends in a cliffhanger. Allie is a unemployed executive assistant looking for employment with a highly successful company in Manhattan. After the morning from hell she shares an elevator ride to her interview with a god like creature who works in the building. They quickly realize there is an attraction with each other that neither has felt in their lives.....leaving it there. I truly enjoyed the book and can’t wait to read another from this new author that surely will be a huge success.

When I picked up Shaft by Krista Gold, I had no expectations going in, because to me novellas are good for series that already have full length books that have been written before them. But I am wrong. Shaft is only 37 short chapters, but it is long enough to capture your attention and keep it. The chemistry between the two leads sizzles and you won't be able to put it down. I didn't.
Life for Allie has sucked lately and she is in desperate need of a job. She's lucky enough to procure a interview with Lionel Hart of Hart Enterprises. This is where the fun begins. When she sees, one of the sexiest men alive.
While Nate thinks today is just some ordinary work day. In my opinion he was very bored with his lifestyle. In EVERY aspect. And Nate, well Nate, for intents is a self proclaimed man whore, at least he admits it. He's also not very egotistical, thankfully.
But you know fate has a funny way of showing you that life is very unpredictable. And it can change in a instant. I'd like to think that everyone has experience this sort of connection. That zing you get when you like someone, when the chemistry is just right. Your heart kicks up several notches and your blood races through your veins.
Then...
They both enter the elevator.
Then the power goes out.
And they're left in the dark with nothing but their emotions...

What a fantastic steamy read! This is my first book by this author and I have to say, it won’t be my last.
The steam in this book will certainly frizz your hair! I loved every moment of it. The whole story line was well written and Allie was a well rounded character and identifiable. The sexual tension was amazing and then the sex... well, phenomenal! I loved how the deep connection they instantly felt for each other was shown, and how they both tried to ignore it within themselves and act as if nothing special was happening.
I enjoyed the sass Allie gave Nate and then his dad later on. I also loved his reaction to her, the moment the penny drops and he realises she can keep his son in line, fantastic.
I hope there’s more from this couple as I would love to see how they navigate a relationship both personal and professional.

While I enjoyed most of the story, I couldn't quite bring myself to like it fully. There was something about the way it ended that kind of left me hanging or so to speak. Will there be a follow up? I could imagine a story about their antics for sure.

Shaft by Krista Gold, set in a stalled elevator, is everything you want in a novella. It’s quick, it’s dirty, and jam packed with a connection between characters I just can’t get enough of!
They say what can go wrong will, and that statement couldn’t be more true for Allie. After a string of bad luck, Allie desperately needs for things to turn around, starting with killing it in her job interview. Mother nature has other plans though, as a storm causes the elevator she’s riding in with a handsome stranger, to come to an abrupt stop. Already late and soaked to the bone by the storm, Allie’s morning just got a whole lot worse. Or did it? Nate, aka recovering playboy, can’t seem to control his thoughts about the striking and shivering redhead on the other side of the elevator. He doesn’t understand the instant connection he feels with a stranger. There’s an electric charge in the air, and it’s certainly not from the power outage. Dive into this short and sexy story today!

Sweet Jesus...this book was fun, sexy, steamy and holy fucking hot. I swear I needed a cold shower after that 🔥🔥 It is a novella and it's the prequel of the full length follow up that is coming up soon and I really can't wait to read. God to be honest I didn't want this one to finish coz it left me wanting more and more of them.
In "Shaft" we meet Allie who is on her way to be interviewed for her dream job. But not everything goes the way she was planing. In fact all is working against her...or does it 😉 She get stuck in the elevator with Nate and their encounter is the hotest ever. Probably one of my favourite novellas ever.
Krista is a new to me author so I honestly had no idea what to expect diving into Shaft. Add in the fact that is was a novella and I was definitely curious to see where this would go and just how much detail we would get in this story.
Allie is not having the greatest start to her day. She's tipped coffee on her white blouse, she can't park her car and she's running behind for an interview for a new job. How could that get any worse you ask?. Well she then got soaking wet and the elevator that was supposed to take her to the right floor stopped working and she ended up stuck in there with a hot guy she didn't know freezing her lady balls off. It was a shit show for her basically.
I love that Krista didn't immediately jump into Allie and Nate in the elevator. Instead she built a foundation for Allie so that I could really connect to her character and understand her a little before the good stuff happened. Allie is really relatable as a whole but also super likeable. I enjoyed her determination and her want to get something better for herself. I giggled my way through her inner ramblings to her self because it's something I do myself so I could easily imagine her talking her way through everything that was happening and even scolding herself for things she wished she didn't say or do.
Allie and Nate had a instant attraction which was believable because when two people find eachother attractive that is what you get, an attraction. But the longer they were stuck in the elevator the more apparent the chemistry between them became and then the connection when the inevitable happened and they couldn't take the tension anymore. It wasn't rushed or forced. If anything it has this slow burn element that was teasing with a playful side. It was surprising to me because this is a short novella but it's written like a novel. The beginning lays the foundation for what's to come. The middle tease us with the possibilities whilst giving us more information on the characters and a better insight to who they are and the end gives us everything that the climactic build up promises us... a satisfying conclusion.
The chemistry is so palpable. These two have so much tension I can't even. They just felt so right and I loved the bickering and clashing between them because it only added to the tension making the final event all the more satisfying. Obviously we don't get a huge back story into these characters because there isn't enough time for that but what we do get is more than enough to make this story feel good in all the right ways.
Now I know this author is planning on giving Nate and Allie a full story and honestly I need it more now than ever because the ending whilst extremely amusing and entertaining did leave me wanting more. Wanting to know who these characters are and what lays ahead for them in the future. It's even got me pondering things...
So to wrap this shindig up.. I laughed hard, I swooned at all the sexy and enjoyed the hell out of the build up. I was so completely satisfied by everything this little jewel had to offer and I'm excited for their future.

Allie was having a bad morning. The elevator she was in stopped working because the power went out. She wasn't alone in that elevator, there was a sexy man called Nate with her and sparks flown right from the beginning.
Nate had sworn off casual relationships (hook-ups) and when he found out that Allie was there to interview for a position in the company, he told himself she was off limits. What he didn't count on was the strong attraction they felt and the fact that they were inside the elevator without being able to run from that attraction.
The story felt realistic and fictional at the same time because of what happened with this couple. It was also fast paced and short so there wasn't much space for developing the situation for a longer period of time.
I do have to say that the ending of the story made me laugh and want to read more. I know it's supposed to be a short story but I so want to know what happens on Monday and beyond with those two *laughs*
I would recommend this story to have a great time. It took me out of the real world fast and it was steamy too, so that was a bonus. I love this kind of stories for a short break at work or during lunch hours to clear my head and smile.

3.5/ 5 - This is a 100 something page erotica with a HFN.
Allie is having a day. She’s going for an interview for a job that she needs and wants. Can’t find a parking spot, it’s pouring rain and no umbrella. Gets in the elevator all ready late for said interview.
Nate jumps in the same elevator as Allie. Elevator stops, power goes out do to the storm? Not only does he convince Allie to take her wet clothes off and put his suit jacket on; he successfully seduces her.
Not having known each other for even a hour, Allie kisses this stranger and lets him get her off with his fingers. Then drops to her knees and gives him a blowjob. THEN they have the “I’m clean” convo. They have sex. The sex was meh.
I rated this novella 3.5/ 5 because of the angst and “I’m clean”. It’s not my trope. Lots of miscommunication before and after the sex. And the sex should have been a bit more explicit for being an erotica in my opinion. Had the ending been different (like a couple role playing) I probably would have forgiven the angst and bumped the rating to 5/5.

Sparks fly and it’s not only from the lightening in this story and very soon the chance encounter turns into more. The book is a quick read and a good scene setter for the longer story that awaits. It was an enjoyable read and ideal for anyone who enjoys steamier reads.

Allie & Nate's story takes place almost entirely in the broken down elevator, and is full of quite a bit of sexy time while they're in there.
This is a quick read, well written, with chapters from each POV. I'm not really a fan of how it ended - but I believe the author is planning a full-length story around this couple at some point, so this would be more along the lines of a prequel to their story. It definitely left me wanting to know more & see their relationship get a deeper look! : )

5 VERY HOT STARS!
This is a new author for me but Krista Gold is definitely talented. In Shaft the reader is going btwn chapters of Allie and Nate, and all takes place in one very steamy elevator.
This novella is a prequel to more of Allie and Nate, so definitely ends in a cliffhanger, but Krista Gold keeps you wanting for more.
Krista gives so much detail about characters and even surroundings that you feel like you know Allie and Nate, or I know I sure wouldn't mind knowing Nate ;)...I also liked the swapping btwn POVs so that you were able to understand both sides of the story.

What a great novella!
These characters were real and relatable. Both were dealing with personal issues and insecurities that people face daily. Also, one cannot forget the fact that Allie and Nate's chemistry is off the charts and the sex scenes were hot and steamy.
This author left me wanting more from these two and I cannot wait to see what is in store for them next!

Very enjoyable quick 'fantasy' read.
Even though Shaft is a short (and steamy!) story that takes place over a few hours, It was very well written and gives the reader enough details to make you feel invested in Allie and Nates encounter.
This is my first read from Krista Gold and it won't be my last.
