Wars of the Underworld

Rate this book
Demons don’t get mad—they get even. And with all of hell’s magic at their disposal, a demon war is a bloodbath.

Before Sadie even understood the depths of her own power, she had to defend it from those who wanted her dead. Powerful and dangerous supernaturals want the amulet around her neck, the amulet that made her Queen of the Underworld, and they will do anything to get it.

A war is brewing… and Sadie is caught in the middle of it all.

Sadie has wealth, magic, influence, and the love of the four most gorgeous demons alive, but no one in or above the Underworld will let her keep it. She’ll have to fight tooth and nail, diving into the darkest depths of her new world to prove she’s worthy.

The angels are jerks. The demons are smokin’ hot. And there are death threats at every turn.

Even though she’s surrounded by ifrits and witches, Sadie has never felt more at home. With her men at her side, she won’t just survive.

Damn it all, she’ll thrive.

Wars of the Underworld is a full-length reverse harem novel. Get ready for a captivating story, immortal romance, lip-biting love scenes, earth-shatteringly powerful magic, one kickass heroine, four stunning demon princes, lots of toned muscles, fights to the death, and edge-of-your-seat action.

Warning: the Demon Queen Saga is an adult urban fantasy series with explicit scenes and is meant for adult readers who enjoy steamy romance and lip-biting action.

Way to go Olivia Ash

I've been reading Ms. Ash's books for awhile now, and I'm never disappointed in them. She is quite the author, and the worlds she creates are unique and interesting in a crowded, often repetitive genre. Her heroines are always bad ass and smart, her men varied and HOT😉 This book is no different. The "Demon Queen Saga" is well written, the action is fast paced and layed out well. The intimate scenes are steamy and aren't stagnant or repetitive, and while there are some plot holes throughout they do not take away from the book or series as a whole. I read a review that complained about the heroine, Sadie, saying that it wasn't realistic they way she rolled with the punches and acclimated to everything so quickly. I think it's b.s. personally. It's nice that our girl isn't rocking back and forth in a corner somewhere, crying and falling apart. She's dealing with the changes like a pro because her character was written as a no nonsense, take charge, good under pressure kind of gal, and the pendant doesn't just choose anyone. It could be fate that it chose Sadie and that's another reason why she's able to more easily go with the flow. I'm starting to ramble so I'm just gonna say in conclusion, that I believe this is a good read that most people would love to indulge in. Buy the series, buy other series by Olivia Ash and see or rather read for yourself how awesome this author is. Enjoy everyone!

We meet back up with Sadie and her Princes as she is still trying to navigate her new Demon Queen status, well that and having 4 brothers who want her as their own. Each of her men has something different going for them, and she is happy she chose them all instead of just one. Unfortunately, their father, the demon king, does not feel the same way about her decision to spurn him for his sons. He has vowed to make her his own, or make it so no one has her.

In this book, Sadie will find out more about the world underneath and who her enemies and allies are going to be. There are some battles to be fought before Sadie can rest. Her princes will help her if she gives them a chance. They are not concerned that their own father is public enemy number one.

About my only complaint with the characters is Sadie's always wanting to be alone to think. Like her life as a human paramedic makes her such a heavy thinker, capable of figuring out her new world with no other input from the men she chose to be her allies. Get a grip.

I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

Except for a bit of envy over the four demon hunks that lead character Sadie gets the, erm, benefit of, I adored Princes of the Underworld, the first book in Olivia Ash’s Demon Queen Saga. This really was the perfect reverse harem paranormal romance. So I’ve been looking forward to the next book in the series and glommed onto it as soon as I saw it. Wars of the Underworld (Book 2) is as fantastic as it’s predecessor. Hot romance, intrigue, adventure, and anything else you’d want. Read book 1 first for maximum enjoyment but I’d still give this book 5 stars even as a standalone. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises - the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.

This 2nd book in the series is a quick, easy read. There’s plenty of action, characters, and romance to keep readers interested. After all, Sadie has four princes to keep her occupied.
That said, I was disappointed with the lack of sex. There are four princes who all want to shag the Demon Queen and while she spends time with all of them and gets hot and heavy, she stops. Like for real? I was left plenty horny and could only imagine the poor princes predicament.
Aside from that, there are some cool characters like Astrid, the mega strong witch. Hobson, Sadie’s personal butler and confidant.
I like that Sadie is headstrong, fierce, and kind. The book really emphasizes strong, powerful women.

This is the second book in the Demon Queen Saga series, and was a really enjoyable read. Focusing on the preparations for, and battle with, the evil Demon King, it's full of action, interesting characters, and more twists and turns than a country lane. Add in the dash of romance and you have this lovely reverse harem series's awesome latest instalment. Enjoy!
NB I received a complimentary copy of this book, but I always give an HONEST review based wholly on my own opinions

This was a great second installment to the first book. She has a way with animals so that is helping her a lot. I also think that she is getting closer to the guys and they are willing to do anything to defend her. I love how she still wants to be very independent and that the guys are letting her be that way. Can't wait to see what Hecate is up to in the next book.

Much better

This part of the story is much better. I am somewhat confused at times how Sadie can be all work and no play when she has 4 amazingly hunky men. Still protecting her realm is hard work and I am glad she takes it seriously. I also like the addition of Astrid. She will give some balance I think.

Very enjoyable great reading

I really enjoyed this book and loved the characters and how they came together. I am glad that they beat Zagan and I hope there will be more on them to see her beat Hectate.
