A surprise birthday celebration for her mother sends Kate Pierce to Atlanta—her hometown. Years have passed since she last visited the city, and she’s still haunted by memories of the violence she endured there. Reluctantly, Kate agrees to go and sets off for a long weekend with family.
News has surfaced of the Fulton County Butcher—a man who is dismembering women and leaving a trail of body parts—and Kate’s childhood neighbor Janine Reilly, now an undercover Vice officer, has gone missing. The police fear Janine has been abducted by the butcher.
Kate offers to help the struggling Atlanta PD, who at this point have nothing to go on, but it’s a challenge to convince them that she can find Officer Reilly and capture the killer by using her psychic abilities.
Kate’s nightmares begin when the police agree to bring her on board, yet her dreams are leading her to an unassuming local man who isn’t even a blip on law enforcement’s radar. The PD is slow to believe Kate’s theory, but when she goes missing too, her claims can’t be ignored. As time ticks away, Atlanta’s finest need to find Kate and Janine before they’re the next victims on the deranged man’s kill list.

Not to be missed
I have absolutely loved these series of books, I started at the beginning and have followed the lives of Jade, Amber and Kate throughout the trials and tribulations of their choice of careers and the bonds they have made to one another.
I feel that ms sutter has truly captured the best of these strong ladies, an FBI agent now Jade is working cases and advising her sister Jade a Wisconsin detective, and psychic detective Kate, who are working cases and being led by the dreams of Kate and her phenomenal psychic abilities, being used by other forces in order to capture psychopaths.
Very strong female leads, investigating murders, kidnappings, and deaths, and their coping mechanisms as they continue to work closely and develop their friendships not only with one another but the teams they are working with.
Fast paced, action packed and truly good reads! My only complaint is they aren’t long enough 😜.

Deranged: Book 3 The Psychic Detective Kate Pierce
This is another crime thriller that will curl your hair. It doesn't help that the butcher was such a perfectionist that he was scary smart and had a clean record. The Atlanta PD didn't even believe that he could be the perpetrator! But he chased the two female PDs down with an ATV on his 50 acres.great story!

a fabulous read.
Thank you! I really enjoyed this story. I mean, really!! Haven’t read an absorbing story in about two years and as an author an avid reader normally this just hasn’t been me. This story had me turning pages until the book was done. I’m about to get the others to the series now.

Great Book
This was the best of the series so far. I never thought I'd enjoy a book about a physic but the way the characters is presented brings her to life. She becomes a friend and someone I care about.

Another quick read.
Kate visits her family for her Mother’s 55 birthday.
Atlanta brings back terrifying memories for Kate.
Of course, while she is there, there is a murder, then another. Her psychic abilities help to solve the murders and catch the murderer.

This is an awesome series. First time I have read any of C.M. Sitter's book
When I am done with this series I plan on reading the Jade and Amber Montoe series also. Love this author so far.

great book & hard to put down!!
Right from the first page I was hooked & didn’t want to put it down. I don’t know how she does it but Sutter has a way of grabbing your interest immediately. Her stories are always worth reading & I can hardly wait to start the next one!

Another good book!
Kate once again goes out of her way to help. Friends and family are important to get so she has to go there. Too bad she doesn't take as good care of herself.

Great book except the beginning. For the 1st time Kate pissed me off. She was scared of going to Atlanta because of the Lynch family who are in PRISON. I would have thought she got over that fear after slicing Warren's neck & saving Jade's life. She took control of the situation, took her life back & now she's gone back to being afraid when there's nothing to be afraid of.
Half way through the book, she was proven right that there was nothing to fear from the Lynch family. Her insecurities were getting the better of her & she was worrying for no reason, skipping her mother's birthday for no reason. She was acting like a selfish bitch for no reason. That is what pissed me off about her. She's taken several steps forward & now she wants to go backwards because she's afraid of a city, a family who is no longer a threat to her & her friends.
As usual the best part is when Kate goes missing & the cops have to step up their game to rescue her & Janine, & capture their killer.
