Break #3

Spring Break

Rate this book
It was only supposed to be one night… until they decided they couldn’t let me go.

Dex, Cody, Darren, and Taylor dug their way into my heart on one cold winter night. Now, years later, we’re practically inseparable.

Spring break was supposed to be our first real vacation together. A cruise with all the sun and fun a girl could ask for. That is… until Dex’s family crashes the party.

I hate hiding my relationship with all of the guys almost as much as Dex’s mother so obviously hates me. There’s no way I’m going to let her or Dex’s nosy brother drive a wedge between us.

I came to play, but now I might lose it all.

and so we reach the third book. once more for the sake of this books complete and utter shittness: what the f*ck was this shit?? I downloaded the series because I saw a tiktok saying it was a college sports romance like off campus. spoiler alert: IT WAS NOWHERE CLOSE TO OFF CAMPUS. it wasn't even college sports. some girl gets stuck in a library with four guys who all want to fuck her and guess what they do? fuck her. together. im scarred. this is exactly why i wont read den of vipers. bc this was the most vanilla smut but it still scarred me. i'll literally never trust booktok again, you all really let me down with this rec. the description i was given wasn't even close to the actual plot of the book, of which there was none. from now on i'll be sticking only to the younger side of ya. (ok thats obvs a lie but you get the point.) literally the only reason i read the whole series was bc they were so short and i wanted to get on top of my goodreads goal. literally, the. only. reason. if i could give a book 0 stars on goodreads I would. genuinely never read something worse in my entire life. and i've read acotar, which says a lot. and all of the cbca books i have to read every year for school. still mad about last years winner. anyway, i have so much hate for whoever it was on tiktok that made me want to read these books, whoever you are, get off smuttok, or at least like, get better at giving summaries of books. like, really better. literally the description wasn't even close. yeah, technically like one? of them plays football and one used to, but since there was no actual football involved, it's not a sports romance. since there was also literally no college involved (except college library sex with four guys) its not a college romance. in fact, i think for it to be considered a romance it actually has to have romance, not constant sex. thats a smut book, not a romance book. romance implies dating (and much perferred) courtship. four guys fucking one girl at the same time within an hour of meeting her is not romance. i've literally lost all faith in the side of booktok that's been corrupted by smut, and i shall do a fyp cleanse to ensure i remain on percy jackson tiktok from this point forward. lava enjoy this review ik u were waiting for it. for ur own good don't read it. pls. i'll disown you.

It really is more of a love triangle with some extra guys for added interest in random spicy scenes. Really tried to power through the series but by this point just couldn’t.

I'm sad it's over!

I would have loved to see one more book to round out this series just to see how they confront the issues of telling their families about their relationship now, with that being said, I want to stress how much I loved this series, especially the first book, but this last story seemed rushed and didn't go into enough detail about Dex's problems with his mother and brother plus I kind of felt that Cody got lost in the mix. I know it's so hard to pick and choose what details to put in a short story and I definitely don't regret all the steamy encounters Jamie has with the guys I just wish it was longer :) I loved the series and can't wait to see what else Lucy will come out with!

This is an erotic short story. It follows 2 previous short stories and the stories are best read in order.

I debated between 3 and 4 stars. It lost stars because there were a lot of continuity problems. From page to page and book to book. One could still overcome the problems in the first two books, but in this book it was both worse and getting more annoying. The author also introduced different story lines without explanation or exploring them further. So throwing the reader tidbits that then get ignored. For example, there is suddenly a new best friend. Where did she come from? Why move the NY, when Washington was too big?

Book 3 of 3.
Reverse Harem.
This was my first series by the author and it was a quick dirty read.
Whilst I enjoyed the story I felt there was too many characters to get to know in such a short space of time and I never really felt like I got to know them each (especially the guys) as individuals. There was also a number of very noticeable continuity errors.
All in all, I enjoyed the story enough to give the author at least a second read of hopefully full length novel(s) and I hope that, with more time, there is in depth character development and also experience has helped to iron out continuity issues.

I love how this story was realistic. This is a contemporary romance, so seeing how the family members react. And even having to hide their relationship can cause quite the strain.
This is a vacation but when one of the guys families crash their vacation-- things get real.
I like that the series and group has evolved over time. And that it went from "one night" to so much more. The guys are just... everything. I love how much they care about our FMC and the relationships that she has built with all of them.
Really enjoyed this series!!

I seriously loved this serious. It is one of the more realistic RH that I have read and I really enjoyed following along with these characters because of this. It was a refreshing read from the paranormal type of RH reads that are out there in plenty. I definitely recommend that you grab this series as it’s one of the best!

In this book Jamie and the guys go on a cruise and meet the family of one of the guys. Being stuck on a boat with family that doesn't know about their unique relationship -- what could go wrong? Filled with steamy fun and drama, you won't be bored with this great read!

*Trigger warning* There is attempted sexual assault

Great conclusion to the series

This was such a fun series. Sure there was some drama throughout the books, but overall it as just about friendship and acceptance and love. The epilogue was perfect for Jamie and the guys! Loved it!

😊

Loved this last book! I am curious on how everything else would go following the ending of the book but many stories end this way so I'll have to make my own story up lol

I loved how this series began as a short story and ended being a full series full of romance, drama, family problems and relationship development! I love Jamie and her guys, yes there are some tough moments in this book and speed bumps in their relationships but a great book to read. It is sad to see the series end but the lady chapter was perfect for the story. Highly recommended!!
