Sparks fly between a die-hard romantic and a sexy cynic in this fresh, funny romance from USA Today bestselling author Adriana Locke.

That cream-filled, caramel-topped doughnut should have been hers. Still, Haley Raynor can’t deny that the pastry thief with the dreamy blue eyes looks even more delicious. But moving in on a handsome devil like Trevor Kelly is bad news for a die-hard romantic like Haley. Trevor doesn’t believe in love. She does. Giving in to a fling and Trevor’s irresistible charms can’t end well. Can it? What can it hurt to give it a shot?

Girls always fall for Trevor, and in the end, he always ends up looking like a bad-boy cad. Still, spending some time with Haley and her smart-talking, kissable mouth sounds pretty perfect. Besides, he’s only going to be in Dogwood Lane for one week. How much trouble could they possibly get into?

The only answer? A “no falling in love” contract. All Trevor and Haley have to do is follow the rules and resist the attraction sizzling between them…before their hearts get completely tangled up in temptation.

No room for Jesus ⭐️

I can count on one hand the number of my most favorite authors of all time and Adriana Locke is definitely one of them. ❤️

Tangle is even better than Tumble and I could bet my life Pen & Grace’s story will be the best of the series.

Ok, so Haley and Trevor.
She’s smart. Really smart. Funny as hell, gorgeous and her dry wit is impossible not to admire.
Trevor is Prince Charming-material, drool-worthy, also super intelligent and his banter with the heroine makes this book deserve way more than 5⭐️.
He has a big problem, though. He doesn’t believe in the idea of happily ever after, of falling in love and wanting to be with that same one person for the rest of his life.
So, what do you do when you actually find your true match? You sign a contract, of course. 😂

This is one of the reasons that makes this story so incredibly good. Besides the humor of the situation, i was blown away by the heroine’s strength. I mean, things were crystal clear. They were highly attracted to one another, she wanted that kind of love that could possibly lead to marriage and kids and he did not. So she made his follow some rules, like no compliments, no touching and flirting and if there wasn’t room for Jesus between them, he was too close. 😂

“See you later, sexiest-friend-I’ve-ever-had-whom-I-can’t-touch-and-it-makes-me-crazy-but-I-need-to-be-a-responssible-adult.”

The whole story is basically this huge ball of sexual tension, the attraction dance of two people whose brains and bodies pull them in different directions, a high dose of humor, quick wit banter and there you go. How could you not want to read this? HOW? It’s beyond amazing! ❤️

Mark your calendars: July, 2nd! and trust me, you don’t want to miss your chance. Pre-order it now.

It would be an absolute honor to have you as my guest on my blog too. Stop by anytime you want :)

I love a sweet, small town romance and Adriana Locke does them so well!

Haley Raynor has lived in Dogwood Lane for a few years, as she helps with her cousin Dane’s daughter as her part time nanny. She’s single and wants to stay that way for a while after a few flops with relationships lately. Then she meets Trevor Kelly at the donut shop.

Trevor is pretty irresistible to Haley. He’s in town to oversee a construction project her cousin Dane is doing and he and Haley become friends. It’s so obvious they both want more, but they are staying friends only. The chemistry between them is undeniable and you just know this friends thing could never last…

I really liked both Trevor and Haley. Haley, especially, was a great leading lady. I loved her positive attitude and she was such a fun character. Trevor was great, too. I loved how much fun they had together and watching them develop their friends to lover relationship.

I listened to the audio book and it was a blast. Aiden Snow and Summer Morton do a fantastic job narrating. Tangle is a fun to read, charming, and heartfelt romance. I can’t wait to read more from this series, and I’m especially excited to get Penn’s book!

If I thought I fell in love with Dogwood Lane in Tumble, I didn’t even know what love was. I mean, this small town filled with these larger than life personalities is working hard on owning my heart. And y’all? I’m not even trying to fight it.

This felt so good! From the perfectly executed sparky banter, to the slowly building scintillating chemistry that burned between Trevor and Haley – every bit of this story was a delight! I don’t even know who I loved more! Honestly, in a rare feat – I think Adriana Locke gave me a heroine that I loved more than I loved the hero. Haley might be one of my favorite heroines...ever. Her dry wit and snappy comebacks combined with her big strong heart and unfailing honesty. Sometimes I felt like I was Haley (or maybe, more to the point, that Haley was all of us), but at every turn I felt like I for sure wanted Haley to be my best friend forever because she was just that awesome.

On top of the massive girl crush I have on Haley, Trevor also heaped on the swoons and set my heart aflutter. He was the perfect match for Haley – their humor played off each other in this sort of fun, flirty way that I find completely irresistible, and there was an undeniable sweetness to the bond they built. Were there moments where I wanted to shake some sense into him? Yes, 100%. But in the end, he straight up won my heart and I could not have loved him any more.

It’s pretty clear I have nothing but love for this book, right? And Trevor and Haley’s romance is just the tip of the iceberg. I loved getting Trevor’s family dynamic and how rewarding that story arc wound up feeling. I loved getting some time with Dane and Neely. Honestly, the whole secondary character game is strong here – which basically just means I am left wanting so much more from these wonderfully dynamic characters and this charming little town. If you're looking for something flirty, fun, and full of heart? Tangle is for you! Definitely recommend! ~ Shelly, 5 Stars

I found the first book Tumble to be sweet and adorable but this book..... This book is on a whole different level! Who knew Haley could be a sassy firecracker! Definitely not me but man was I living for it! I love when a side character in a previous book surprises the hell out of you once they get their own story. Tangle in my opinion was way more enjoyable than Tumble because this reader related more to these main characters and loved the sexy, sassy banter and the whole runner/chaser dynamic. 5 stars and all the heart eyes!!!

Side Note: I've been waiting for Penn's story since he was first introduced in Tumble and the lil tease of it at the end of this book has me salivating at the mouth. I need it STAT!!! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE let it be soon 🤞

Once again Adriana Locke has given us small town romance with a lot of heart. This is sort of a reluctant, yet inevitable romance. These two promise they won’t fall in love, but you know how that goes.

Haley loves love, she just hasn’t had much luck with it. Trevor doesn’t think that OTL exists, and he’s also had terrible experiences with the supposed big L. These two have an immediate attraction and pull toward each other. Their banter and connection is so fun, and once they’ve known each other a bit the tension ramps up. But will they keep things in the heartbreak-less friend zone, or will they jump in with both feet to the attraction they both feel. I will say that both of these characters struggle with their feelings and understanding them fully. They will make some choices that frustrate the reader, but when the romance is too easy is it as good? What I appreciate is both characters grow, and there’s nothing wrong with making mistakes if you learn/change from them.

Add in the fun and lovable people living in Dogwood Lane, some new characters, and some theft worthy doughnuts and you have a sweet romance that will make you laugh a bit, make you cry a bit, but will leave you smiling!

Another winner for Adriana Locke. Trevor and Hayley were adorable together. I always enjoy when the H and h forge a good friendship first. I loved how tangled up Trevor got in his feelings for Hayley. I actually teared up because he was so tortured. He really didn't get it. And Hayley ended up so strong in her conviction. All around fantastic read!

Tangle is the book that you'll tell your friends about. Trust me. I'm telling you about it, arent' I?
I don't even have words to express how much I love this book.

Trevor Kelly is everything. EVERYTHING.

I enjoyed every single moment of Haley and Trevor’s journey and their chemistry was to die for. In true Adriana Locke fashion, she’s given us yet another couple to completely fall in love with!

Haley & Trevor, along with the rest of the Dogwood Lane crew, give me life!! This is THE book that you don't want to miss.

Adriana, you've taken this to an entirely new level. I have never loved a book as much as I love Tangle! I cannot wait for everyone to get this book into their hands<3

I was so thrilled to be back in Dogwood Lane! Locke writes my most absolute favorite small town romances and this one takes the cake...AND the donuts! Trevor Kelly is delicious in every single way and Haley is endearing and so so fun! The two of them together are everything! I never want to leave Dogwood and can’t wait to visit again!

"He's eating me alive with his eyes. Sizzling the sides of my face where his thumbs gently stroke my skin. Setting my body ablaze as it becomes apparent he's on the verge of losing control."

Small town SUPER SWOON!! A chance meeting swirls into an unexpected fall where each are not even prepared and fight every step of the way, only to realize there's no way they can, resulting in the sweetest, most romantic turn of events that had my heart bursting and eyes tearing up at the end. The banter set the stage for incredible tension, and the giving in was nothing short of epic. They each had to learn about themselves, each other, love, and life with a whole cast of lovable friends and family that I eagerly await more stories from. I was finished before I knew it, and loved the range of emotions I felt while sucking it all up!! Received a copy to review from Netgalley.

THE BEST LOCKE BOOK YET! Sorry for the shouty caps, but that is a HUGE feat to beat! I love Adriana's book, but this one just grabbed my heart and spoke to my soul in the happiest of ways. From the opening scene that had me grinning ear to ear to the final page where I was secretly praying there were more, I loved this book. The character development is excellent, the banter is perfect, and the storyline kept me flipping pages and then dreading that it was ending.

If you only pick up book this July, Tangle is the MUST READ, MUST BUY book! I'm calling it now: Tangle is the best book of the summer!

What is this BS promoting you need to accept emotional abuse of a guy and let them treat you like garbage because you “just love them and that’s how love works”?

This old lady advised that you should embrace love because she nursed her divorced husband in deathbed because she LOVED him even after she was treated like disposable tissue!

H’s step mother tells the h, H’s father dumped her once, yet here she is married to him living HEA. So ideally h should try it with H too. No pressure (but bitch I suffered more than you, so you better suck it up, and let’s throw in my infertility issue here just to prove how much I suffered more than you yet took the asshole back because LOVE).

Seriously women, you need therapists and self help lessons. And may be learn to love yourself just like the h was doing before you all shits got jealous of her and decided no no, she doesn’t deserve to be happy, and your asshole little boy is too much work for you so how dare the h be happy. She better take him back because you looked after him long enough and put up with enough of his shenanigans. It’s her turn! WTF does she mean she’s happy with herself cause she learned to love herself? UNACCEPTABLE!

ARC kindly received in exchange for an honest review.

I had previously read the first book in this series, and I was excited to see that Adriana was releasing the next book because the people of the Dogwood Lane are awesome.

Wet met Hayley previously because she was Mia's Nanny, assisting Dane while he raised her. So this time, it's her chance at a happily ever after and for us to get to know her.

I really liked Hayley and enjoyed watching her trying to work out how she wants her life to go and to value herself without having a guy attached to her, and instantly falling love, as she's had a habit of in the past.

The moment we meet Trevor, we know he's going to be the one to push her with her new resolutions. He's a great character, a really sweetie, with his own issues he needs to deal with. The bond and chemistry between these two is great, and I really enjoyed watching them get to know one another and learn about themselves at the same time.

There are also some great secondary characters in this, in the form of our faves from Dogwood Lane and also some of Trevors family.

This was a really fun read, and I found myself trying not to laugh out loud in public when I was reading at certain times. Full of humour and chemistry, I would definitely recommend this one.

I loved the first book in this series but Trevor and Haley were everything. I think a lot of women can identify with Haley and how she sees love and relationships. The wit, banter and issues are easily relatable and the reader roots for both of them. Well worth your time to read.

I absolutely loved this story! I related so much to Haley and her desire to find love. I saw so much of myself in her. Adriana does an excellent job of creating both a heroine looking for love but being a strong woman at the same time. My favorite love stories are those where the hero thinks he doesn’t want love and then meets his match in the heroine and falls to his knees. That’s this story. Trevor doesn’t believe in one love for a lifetime while Haley believes in the fairy tale. Can Haley get Trevor to believe in love? You’ll have to read to find out. ;) Because how Adriana unfolds the story is epic and slow burn and so incredibly sweet. Now I can’t wait for the next books in this series!

I’ve yet to read an Adriana Locke book that I haven’t LOVED, and Tangle was no exception. Small town is my absolute favorite trope to read in the romance genre. Add in that Haley and Trevor are total opposites and this has all the makings of a five-star read for me! I loved Haley’s character and her belief in love and found her to be super relatable. Overall, I love this book and hope this series never ends!

Here we are back in Dogwood Lane. One of my favorite towns to visit. Yay! Now it's time for Haley to be our heroine. We begin by her losing her job at the library. That sucks! Then her day gets worse from there. Now all she wants is her favorite donut and a cup of coffee. Enter our hero, the donut thief.
Our hero is rich, handsome and a bit of a self confessed cad. He has a string of women who seem to 'cling' to him after he tries to dump them. Our heroine is well aware of his type and refuses to be added to his list. But he pursues her with all his charm. He promises not to break her heart. She hopes he is telling the truth.

An excellent story by an excellent author!

With the high rating and all and I was bored out of my mind.
I wanted this nonsense to finish already

I'm fed up with the weak images of heroines that authors write about in the last two years.
Fed up with the troubled hero who have over the top issues with love.
Just pointless boring drama all the time, when the heroine wants the hero more than he wants her.

Blahhh 🤤

Small Town life, nothing really happened 😴 and the mc just annoyed me.

I liked the side characters. Hope the next book will be more spicy..

5 Star review of Tangle (Dogwood Lane #2) by Adriana Locke
Tangle was well written and full of love, romance, laughter and the opportunity for Hayley Raynor and Trevor Kelly to fall in love. I really liked Hayley and Trevor, both separately and together.
There was not a thing that I didn’t love about this book. From the first page to the last I was absolutely captivated by the story that Adriana Locke wove and read this in almost one go. I love small town romances and when you throw characters like Trevor and Hayley, it really is a winning combination.
I loved how swoon worthy Trevor was, he just ticked all the boxes for me. Hayley is a hopeless romantic, funny, smart and would be a great woman to call friend. Does she dare take a chance on a fling with Trevor who does not believe in love or will she get a broken heart?
There was so much humour and seriously hot shenanigans in this book that you cannot help but fan yourself. I love Dogwood Lane and Adriana Locke really brings it to life for me. I for one cannot wait to read more in this series.

I loved the story, the characters, the secondary characters and the banter.

I started the book on a red eye flight from the US to Italy and didn’t sleep a wink because every time I put my Kindle in the seat pocket and closed my eyes, I sat there thinking that I’d read just one more chapter.
One more chapter turned into 78% of the book. ❤️

I fell in love with Trevor right along with Haley.
Their meet cute was adorable and their conversations just became funnier and more interesting as the story unfolded.

It was a slow burning love at first sight, if that’s even a thing and the pacing was perfect.

Adriana nailed this story. I wouldn’t change a thing.

Tangle brings a romance that is a delight to read. I loved every minute of this book and I think the author did a great job with these characters!

Here is the story of Haley, a character who believes in love and who after having had countless amorous delusions for falling in love with the wrong guys, wants to take time out in love, what she did not expect was to come across Trevor, her complete opposite and who does not believe in love. Two people totally opposite, but they complement each other perfectly!

I loved Haley, she's one of those heroines that I love: fun, smart, romantic, intelligent and who always sees life in a positive way. I think she grew up a lot during the book and I loved seeing her putting herself first. Trevor is a good guy, smart, and some attitude during the book irritated me a little but in the end these two characters gave me great moments and several laughs.

Their journey took place over a short period of days, and that would usually bother me a little, but it did not happen here. I think the author dealt with their relationship so well that I honestly forgot that they met the other day.

Tangle is one of those books that I finished in one sitting and didn't even see the time pass. I laughed, had fun, and fell in love with these characters.

I Received an unreleased copy of this book.

Swoon swoon swoooon!
This romance was a little on the sweeter side than I normally go for, but I didn’t mind one bit! I jumped into this one having not read the first in the series and that didn’t affect my enjoyment of this at all - definitely can be read as a standalone. I do want to go back and read Tumble now, not to mention the upcoming third book (so ready to watch Penn fall in love)!

Haley and Trevor were just true perfection. They’re both full of intelligence and wit; their banter made me smile the whole way through. Haley is strong and vulnerable at the same time - she’s also relatable and just fun. Trevor oozes sex appeal but isn’t an alpha-hole - he’s sweet and considerate, too.

The ending had me all heart-eyed and giddy - this is my ideal real life HEA 😍

Thanks to the author and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC in exchange for a review.

I have a case of Lost in Translation with this book. I can not connect to the characters at all. This book is character driven. Meaning the story and the banter is build from character development. Meaning there is a lot of conversation, banter and depth conversation.

I do like a character driven story, but this book is off. I listen until 5th hour and I give up.

You know what they say about best-laid plans.....and of course this one is no different - its especially entertaining when you have a hardcore cynic who does not believe in love and a small town girl who wants nothing more than to be loved!!!

I absolutely adore the town of Dogwood Lane and all its resident, and I look forward to visiting it many more times over the course of the next few books.

I loved Haley when we first met her in Tumble. She is this sassy little dynamite package who has a heart of gold. A heart that has been broken more times than she cares to admit. Which is why she is currently on a 6 month no dating ban.

Trevor is a new character to the series. He is in Dogwood Lane to oversee a few last details to his dad's house that is being built by Dane and the crew. When he meets the gorgeous Haley and they banter over the last donut in the coffee shop, he knows he wants her more than anything. However, he has a bit of a reputation as he has no problem getting girls to fall for his charm, its just that he has no intention of taking it anywhere as he does not believe in love at all.

So when the 2 decide to spend some time with each other, there is no other option but to draw up a "contract" to keep things simple between them.

I loved the book from start to finish and now cannot wait for the 3rd installment. Especially if it's going to be Penn's book......whoo hoo

It’s going to be hard to put into words how I feel about this book. It’s simply amazing. This is why Adriana Locke is my favorite author.

Haley dates really crappy, bad for her, guys. And not just dates, but falls in love with them. And then she finds herself alone again. Her cousin Dane (from the book Tumble) bet her that she can’t date for six months. She accepted. Haley has really been finding herself and making herself happy and then walks in Trevor Kelly.

Trevor doesn’t believe in love. He doesn’t believe in hurting women either so he makes sure the women he sees know what they are to him... just a warm body. He’s only in Dogwood Lane for a short few weeks anyway. He’s not looking for anyone, until he sees Haley bent over a bakery counter in black see-through yoga pants with hot pink panties.

Trevor and Haley have some off the charts chemistry. They have some hilarious conversations and their banter is really entertaining. The secondary characters are great also and I hope they all get a turn to tell their stories.

Who new a doughnut can be the catalyst for romance - LOL. Hayley has had her fill with crappy relationships and decides with the help from her family to not date for a few months. Taking the time for herself, she is literally left with her mouth hanging open when a sexy stranger tries to take the last doughnut she had her eye on. But will the chemistry with Trevor be the end of her dry spell? Or will their thoughts to having a "no Falling in Love" agreement, once again leave Hayley without a lasting romance? With beautifully written characters and a storyline that not only had me laughing out loud but wanting so badly for a HEA this is another fabulous read by Adriana Locke and I cannot wait for more!!

Tangle was just as the title suggests...a tangle of emotions. Haley and Trevor are on opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to relationships. She has always been a girl who is in love with the idea of being "in love." Trevor, on the other hand, is all in for the benefits of a relationship but not necessarily the relationship itself...at least not for the long term. One thing that they both have in common is a shared attraction for one another. They just have to find common ground. Haley asks Trevor to not pursue her and they spend time as friends for the majority of the book. However, events happen which put them in a situation where their affections are more difficult to ignore.

I really enjoyed Tangle. It wasn't that the plot was super original but it didn't need to be because it was well done. The characters were written in a way that you really cared about them. The other plus was I enjoyed the connections with the secondary characters as well. I'm looking forward to more in this series.

Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake Romance for this ARC.

Tangle is the second in the Dogwood lane series by Adriana Locke and tells Trevor and Haley’s story. It sweet and sexy and full of the usual fun feelings you get from the light-hearted side of Adriana’s stories.
She’s a whizz at writing these small hometown stories filled with dirty talking gorgeous guys and sassy, snarky, take-no-prisoners girls.
Haley believes in love and Trevor doesn’t but fate, and a doughnut has put them in the same place. The attraction is instant, the chemistry out of control and their sexy banter. It’ll make you smile so darned hard. Neither planned on this happening, so they make a pact but can it last?
They have to decide if they will allow the universe to have its way or ignore the stars aligning and pushing them together, and if so, will it be forever?.
I loved being back in Dogwood Lane and reconnecting with previous characters from Tumble and meeting new ones. Looking forward to the next in the series.
