If you're forced to come to an arrangement with someone as dangerous as Jagger Calduchi, it means he's about to take what he wants, and you'll give it to him... even if it's your body.
I got caught snooping where I didn't belong, and Jagger made me an offer I couldn't refuse. A week with him where his rules are the only rules, or his bought and paid for cops take me to jail.
He's going to punish me, train me, and master me completely. When he's used me so shamefully I blush just to think about it, maybe he'll let me go home... or maybe he'll decide to keep me.
Publisher's Note:Caught includes spankings and sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book.
This was a really good read. Jagger is a hot sexy alpha a Dom who is the son of a mafia Don. He wants no part of it but, he runs is own company Bishop Enterprises it is impossible for him to run a legitimate business without the mob interjecting. Lola Markum is the only child of the man that owns a company Jagger's father wants at any cost. Lola left Chicago and hasn’t looked back. She walked away from her father and his business, not happy with things she has learned. She settled in Boone, North Carolina and had just opened her own shop, Bottega’s Bistro and Books. Just as the business is to open a call will take her back to Chicago, her Dad is dead, and she wants answers. When he catches Lola in a compromising situation he is able to con her into being his submissive for an entire week in return for purchasing her father's company. This was a good read these two have some hot chemistry and the sex scenes were hot. I really liked Lola she was a strong independent woman. I have read this author before. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling.
What a page-turning, edge-of-your-seat, spine-tingling, romantic suspense tale that Ms. Piper Stone is so talented at spinning. Oh my, with delicious characters, erotic interaction, intriguing tête-à-tête, mafia hits, strong-arming, power exchange, D/s, life and death and so much more.
While Jagger Bishop heads up a legitimate company, Bishop Enterprises, there are some things you can’t escape or deny, like your parents, and Jagger may use his mother’s maiden name, but he is still the son of Montego Calduchi, crime boss of Chicago.
Lola Markum left Chicago and hasn’t looked back. She walked away from her father and his business, not happy with things she has learned. She settled in Boone, North Carolina and had just opened her own shop, Bottega’s Bistro and Books. Just as the business is to open a call will take her back to Chicago, her Dad is dead, and she wants answers.
“The little girl in me wanting to curl up in a ball—the p’d off woman inside ready for a fight.”
The plot will have Jagger determined to acquire several companies, while Caleb Santori acquiesces, Richard Markum doesn’t—but to have a heart attack at a public event still raises eyebrows. When Lola returns to Chicago to handle business details, she is determined to go after Jagger and his business, but when you are raised in the mafia, you are cautious, and Lola raises red-flags to Jagger. Caught snooping in his office after hours by Jagger, he forces her to submit and accept his terms—one week of total submission.
“Let me be very clear about this. I will own you for one solid week to do anything I want with.” I could almost taste her anger, rage soaking into her beautiful skin. Taming her would be the greatest joy of my life.”
“One more thing, Lola. You are very right that I’m a dangerous man. I would hate to resort to alternative methods in order to enforce our deal. But I will if necessary. I would keep that in mind if I were you.”
A deal is made, but will Lola survive the week at an unknown location with a man she calls a monster? It will include harsh punishments, humiliations, complete submission and giving up all control, allowing Jagger to do whatever he choices with and to her. But, it comes with passion and learning the power in submission — an island, a tropical paradise, a journey of pleasure found within pain, and the hardest part, keeping her heart and soul out of the deal.
“From this moment on, you belong to me. Need I remind you that I paid for you and you will do exactly as I please. You will follow my every direction and when you don’t, there will be a form of punishment. This can be a very enjoyable venture or one that will leave you will nightmares. This is also your choice. I will never harm you, but there will be pain. There will also be extraordinary pleasure. Do you understand me, Lola?”
“He’s gorgeous. He’s dangerous. He’s everything I’ve ever wanted. What I know and what I believe doesn’t matter any longer—does it?”
(audiobook) I didn’t think it was possible, but I got engrossed in the story.
Clearly not the erotic part. I found it slightly disturbing–I love consent–and crude. I couldn’t see the feelings blooming between them, so it was mostly lust.
The mafia part, though, was enticing, even though it’s little more than a background. The brothers’ rivalry, the politics, the constant danger… I liked it. Some hints were a little bit too much on the nose.
As for the narration, I wasn’t too fond of most of the narrator’s voices, especially the female ones, but his voice for Jagger was spot on, oozing confidence and sexyness.
If you’re looking for a dark erotic romance with a side of mafia war, this may be the book for you. If not, move along.

Read it in one sitting. I really felt this so much. I love Jagger. He’s dominant and sexy. I would have given it a 5 if the ending would have been more elaborate. Still, it provides all the answers. I just freaking LOVE Piper Stone! Man these two had steam! I was on edge the entire time. You really believe at certain points that there is true love between Jagger and Lola. I’m kind of obsessed with red headed heroines ha
For adults only (18+ years) Contains subject matter that may be a trigger, or offensive to some, including: adult language, steamy, detailed adult intimate scenes throughout (various elements of spanking / discipline, bondage, D/s, etc.) and violence (death, threats / cohersion, attempted murder, etc.). If any of these types of situations are a trigger, or offensive to you, then this may not be the book for you.
This is the first book I recall reading by Piper Stone and I was impressed. Besides grammatical issues, the plot / storyline, story universe, etc. are well developed. There are a few twists that I enjoyed immensely, as they were completely unexpected. The reason for 4 1/2 stars is due to some questions I had after reading for a couple of the scenes, where it seemed they could have been expanded to include more details (sorry can't list as they may provide a couple of spoilers). There are also some stilted lines between the H/h that I had to read again to determine what the author intended, but I was able to figure them out pretty quickly.
I volunteered to leave a honest review of an ARC from the author and Booksprout. Fortunately I was able to access and read the story via KU (which I highly recommend for anyone who likes electronic books).
Oh my. This story had so much potential. I love dark mafia romance, and I love domineering alpha males. What I don’t like is weak whiny women. Jagger Calduchi is the perfect alpha male, but sadly Lola, who started off as an independent, strong willed business woman, turned into a pathetic needy woman who couldn’t make a decision and stick with it. I wanted her to get it on with Jagger, they were good together, but in my imagination it went in a completely different direction. For the record, I’m not at all offended by spanking and bondage in a story, it can make for an interesting read, but I still wanted Lola to be somewhat defiant. I listened to the audio version and I was completely blown away by Thomas Locklear as Jagger, not too impressed with him as Lola though, not sure if it was her character or his portrayal of the character. I hope this make sense to anyone reading this review, and just to clarify, I did not dislike this story, I just thought it could have been better.
I started this book and couldn't put it down. Jagger is dark, mysterious and definitely a bad boy. He falls for Lola who has come back after her father passed away. Together they stumble into a dark and dangerous game. Jagger has a price on his head due to the fact he is now the head of his family. I don't read that many mafia romance books but this one just blew me away. Will Jagger and Lola survive to be together or will he send her away to keep her safe? I loved this book from the beginning to the end!!!
This book was really good until the last bit. The ending was rushed and that really frustrated me as I was really into the story up to that point. Still good characters but I wanted more.
Sorry but no. Each time I put the book down and then kept reading I wondered if I had missed some part of the story. Maybe my Kindle had a technical problem and I missed entire chapters? Nope. It's just the characters would changed their mind so quickly you wouldn't know where it came from. From "I hate you I'll destroy you", to "please fuck me hard", from "I'm doing this because I HAVE to, but I can't stand him", to "I'll love you forever" with nothing happening between those statements to make the characters change their minds. Nothing. Everything else happened way too quickly too, lots of stuff made no sense. So, that's a no.
Somehow this book, while very well written & plotted, just never grabbed me. I liked the writing, the plot, the characters but none of this really drew me into the story or the plight of Jagger (H)) the younger son of a ruthless Chicago Mafia Don & Lola (h) the only child of the man that owns a company Jagger's father wants at any cost~~ except money. Jagger catches Lola in a compromising situation & is able to coerce her into being his submissive for an entire week in return for purchasing her father's company at FMV. I think part of my detachment came as I kept waiting for Jagger to fulfill his voiced & internal intentions to dominate, control, claim Lola. Although there were a couple of intense interactions most of the D/s moments occurred 'off stage'. Jagger seemed too enthralled & emotionally in knots over Lola to be truly dominant & he never struck me as an Alpha/dominant type. The author did an excellent job with the mafia family politics always hovering around Jagger like a poisonous cloud, causing him to always be aware, cautious & wary & the reader had a fear of potential death for Jagger & Lola. The surroundings & secondary characters were also well done, enough to let the reader envision them but not so much as to detract from the overall story or seem like padding. But again, somehow the characters just didn't grab me: Lola came across as the stronger of the two, intense, driven, focused, determined while truthfully (to me) Jagger seemed too weak to dominate Lola in actuality. Everything else about him seemed right for his character, a man who didn't want to be a mobster or in a mobster family, who dreamed of a 'normal' life & a family without the constant terror of assassination, but not a Dominant. But this was a nice solid mafia romance, very light (IMO) on the dominance portion & not a very dark story at all considering it involved the mob.

Jagger catches Lola in a compromising position in his business offices and throws down an offer she becomes his in all ways for one week and a contract to purchase her father’s company at market value. Lola offering herself to him on a platter was something Jagger was going to take his time to enjoy very much.
Lola was once again back home to deal with her father’s sudden death and his estate. What details she uncovers upon first look and then further investigation, however, seems quite suspicious and leads her on a trail to Jagger Bishop of Bishop Enterprises, who turns out to be an old school mate…and the son of THE Chicago mafia crime boss. Unresolved issues with her father make her determined to get to the bottom of his sudden demise, and Lola has simply no choice but to give in to all of Jagger’s demands if she is to save her father’s investments and company employees. Something her body WAS willing to submit to was the sizzling attraction between them, but the message her brain was telling her was that he could NOT be trusted. Because, after all, he is who he is…and they will soon find out that spending time at his isolated getaway may not have been the best nor timeliest of ideas, as the mafia and all their enemies always have a rolling agenda.
A Dark Mafia Romance| A very dark story with two individuals that had met some decade before when an unwanted kiss had led to Jagger receiving a black eye from Lola and even after all these years, he had never forgotten the woman and still has a stirring in his loins. Lola has had to return to her home town after the unexpected death of her estranged father when she returns, she discovers that a deal appears to have been done on her father’s company and when she looks through the contracts, she discovers all is not above board. She infiltrates the company buying her father company and is caught looking through private documents, she finds herself having to agree to a deal with Jagger Bishop or else he declares that he will hand her over to the police and her fathers’ involvement with the mafia will become common knowledge. She cannot bear to let this happen and agrees to give him a week of her servitude… I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.
Caught is a well-written, deliciously dark mafia romance. The storyline is engaging and very steamy; it captured my attention from the start and captivating me until the very end. Lola and Jagger are marvelous, interesting, and well-developed characters. They have a fiery connection, and the chemistry is off the charts. I liked that they had a history that went back decades. After the unexpected death of her estranged father, Lola goes snooping in Jagger's private documents and gets caught. He, in return, offers her a deal or him declaring to police her father's involvement with the mafia. Lola takes the deal, one week of servitude.
Excellent narration by Thomas Locklear. He depicted the characters' personalities and emotions flawlessly, breathing life into them. Overall, This was an excellent listen, and I strongly recommend this audiobook to all dark romance fans. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
I’m on the fence with how I feel about this book. I liked it, but I had some issues with it as well. I like the dark and dangerous alpha male. . .and Jagger certainly fits that bill. . .however, having read quite a variety of BDSM stories, I found his form of dominance abusive. He seemed to be all about him for quite a while before he started to care for Lola. For her part, Lola initially presented as a strong woman shattered by her recent tragedy. I’m fine with her being submissive, but I would have liked to see her with more of the backbone she started with. I felt like by the end she was a doormat.
Overall, the concept of the story was good, but some of the execution was off for me. This is my first book from Ms. Stone, but I will certainly try her again. In addition, I listened to the audio version narrated by Thomas Locklear. He did a great job bringing Jagger to life, but I felt like he fell a bit short with Lola.
Our heroine gets caught snooping around where she shouldn't and makes a deal with the devil.
My reactions to this one are somewhat mixed. While I felt it was a good mafia romance story, I found it somewhat lacking in the dark romance department. The deal between our hero and heroine is that she will submit to him for a week, but there is very little of that interaction on screen, which was very disappointing. I felt out hero was playing the role of the tough guy, when he didn't really want that life. On the other hand, the romance side of things was good, with strong chemistry between our couple.
The writing itself was good and the characters fairly well developed. And the story was pretty good as well, just not what I was expecting.
Recommended as a romance story, not so much for any D/S.

Interesting to see how much I decided to dislike Jagger, the younger son of a Chicago crime boss. He describes himself in ruthless, hateful terms that make me believe his evil is real. When he meets Lola, the daughter of a man he was determined to ruin, I still felt leery and hesitant that anything good would come of their liaison. He demands one week of her total submission in order to rescue her dead father’s business. Will she agree? Will it work?
Both Jagger, angry with being forced to be a part of the mob, and Lola, disillusioned with her father’s business tactics, begin to build an interaction and relationship that actually serves their needs. This story is interesting and convoluted and of course erotic. I enjoyed the read.
If you enjoy Mafia crime dramas, then you will love this story. If you like graphic, dark romances it might not satisfy you. The story is strong, the characters are interesting, but this isn't the dark romance I was expecting. There isn't a lot of dominating, there are a couple of scenes, but most of it happens behind closed doors and in Jagger's thought. For me, the thing that saved this book was the very strong crime story. It was great! I also love Piper's writing style and how well she delved into the life of a Mobster. This might not have been my favorite story by this author, but I know I will be reading more of her books.
Wow. when Piper Stone writes a mafia story you can expect, danger intrigue, secrets, revenge, betrayal, and steamy sex. Jagger doesn't want to be in the family business. While he was away in St. Maarten , circumstances arise that he and Lola are both in danger. Who can he trust? Who has a hit out in him and the Calducci family? Piper Stone doesn't disappoint in this exciting story Thomas Locklear is fantastic vocal performer. Wow, he really brought this story to life! Every emotion, every voice , every character was perfection! He flawlessly transitoned from one character to another. Thank you for the great listen! I was gifted the audio and offered my honest review
An absolutely fantastic, compelling, and exciting fast pace read that is action-packed with violence, violent suspense, witty banter, humour, very erotic scenes, and intrigue. This is an on the edge of your seat page turner that is well-written with strong stubborn intriguing characters. The chemistry between the characters is intense and powerful; the sex scenes are hot, raw, and well written. A truly interesting read; definitely recommended.

I just loved Jagger, second son of the Mafia King pin who wants to be a legitimate business man. Lola the girl he kissed and fell in love with in high school. They meet again when she comes to Chicago due to her father's death. Ironically her father fell dead at Jagger's feet. This story drew me in from the beginning. I loved the interaction between Jagger and Lola, she was definitely his match. Some D/s elements but overall romantic and suspenseful. Very well done.

Ok so i was on tje edge of my seat this whole book until the end. I felt like it just stopped and started "2 months" later. Well it did exactly that but I wanted to know what happened after she got on the plane and what he did when he got back to Chicago. Yes the book gave us a small recap but Damn. I felt like o was on tje edge of my seat them the next on the floor wondering wth happened. As far as hotness and sexy scenes. It was phenomenal! Oh so hot and steamy!
Actually really enjoyed this. Lola agrees to spend the week with Jagger in order to get a fair price for her fathers company. Full of twists and turns, although you will need to read Ruthless (Gio & Veridi) straight after to get complete end to the over arching story of the mafia power struggle (Jagger & Lola’s story is complete in this book with a HEA) This does contain elements of submission/spanking/punishments etc but doesn’t go over the top with all like others by Piper Stone.
There are a couple of things left unanswered (eg her father’s death) but otherwise worth a read.
Jagger a man bound by family wanting to have a life and business free of any mafia influence. Lola wanted a simple life with no connection to her father and his business. After she finds out that her father has died and she now owns all of the business and her family home. She is enticed into a contract with the very handsome Jagger. As she slowly turns the tables on him, Jagger discovers that he needs her in his life. A romantic love tale involving total submission.
Great story line and characters, Awesome !! Loved this book. The storyline was so interesting that it had me turning pages in anticipation of where it would lead . I was very intrigued with the characters in the story. Simply awesome . Definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a great read. I would recommend to others. Worth the read and the money!

I love alpha sexy dominant men whom know what they want. Men that are confident and sexy. Men that carry that carefree attitude yet respecting the women they are attracted to. Giving and receiving pleasure without crossing the line.
Well developed characters, beautiful setting and a dangerous adventure. Some twists and turns and the drama unfolds.
I loved the narration on this audio. Thomas Locklear was a new narrator to me and I loved his voice. Mafia stories are what I love the most but this one fell a little short. The bones of the story were good but I felt the story was a little child like. Almost appearing like the alpha had to hide his true nature to the female. To me that's not Mafia. Mafia is violent and mafia men definitely don't have to answer to the females in their life.
I really enjoyed the story and I am happy that they seem to have gotten their HEA. I wish there would have been more info at the end about the future for them. An epilogue would have been wonderful.
I was not a huge fan of the narrator. I loved his voice as Jagger, but I didn’t love how it turn out when he was speaking as Lola. Overall it was a good read.
