C. K. Green grew up in a small town in the heart of Tennessee. She is a wife, mother, and of eight, both biological and adopted. She tends to be a romantic at heart. When she’s not writing, she’s being obsessive about her book cover designs at KP Designs.

C. K. Green loves reading any genre that can hold her attention for more than a few pages. Her love of reading has allowed her to write novels that have you on the edge of your seat. She has an active imagination that creates a suspenseful story that leaves you wanting more.

Seventeen year old Kiera was kidnapped and brutally beaten, but still found the strength to escape her captor. Detective Ethan Parker found her passed out on the side of the road. Sadly Kiera was not able to cope with what happened and just shut down and distanced herself from the unknown evil that took her, as well as the people that loved her.
Fast forward 8 years and her carefully hidden secret is coming back to find her.
This book has the mystery, suspense, heartbreak, hope and love ......so everything you need in a great book.
I hope this author continues the series because Kiera’s best friend Anna is in trouble and I really need to know what happed to her!!!!

When I first read the description about this book I didn't think I would like the book. Nevertheless, I wanted to read C.K.'s debut book because I was hoping that her writing would prove me wrong. C.K. definitely did prove me wrong I was hooked from the very beginning. I never got tired of reading the book and I read it in less than 2 days! I enjoyed how I could understand what triggered Kiera's panic attacks and I could relate to how she felt about not wanting to live in the past. Ethan seemed pushy to me at first but it was like he changed as the book continued on. To be honest, I felt like this book was full of surprises but Kiera and Ethan were always hopeful about what they wanted. I never would have expected to enjoy reading this as much as I do and to tell the truth I am ready to read it again! C.K. is amazing and thoughtful about what she wants to write and how she wants to pull the reader into her book even when they think they won't be. I am looking forward to the next book!

I have to admit I'm shocked this is C.K.s first book. I've read alot of books from authors that have written alot longer and even they didn't consume me like this. I loved this story, the characters and all the drama that went along with it. The supporting characters were just as great as the main ones. The kind that makes you beg the author for their own book, lol. It kept me completely hooked from cover to cover.
This is almost a second chance romance with a ton of drama and heart stopping moments to make you hold your breath to find out what happens...*chills** :) I'm so happy I got to read this and can't wait to find out what happens with the rest of the crew :)

This is a story about how someone shuts down after a tragic episode. When Kiera moves to get away from her problems little does she know she will run into the one person who brings back all the memories she has locked away. Ethan always wanted to help Kiera. This story will take you on the hardest ride of their lives.

Great book. Can't wait for Anna's story.

When I started this book I was convinced I wasn't going to like Keira, however that quickly changed as I got sucked in. Her story is unique and full of just enough darkness and love to keep you hooked from the first page. For a first time author, she has done an outstanding job and I simply can't wait for the next to come!

When reading a debut book by any author, I am always a bit worried when I start reading simply because I have no idea what to expect. I had absolutely no reason to worry in this case because the story was incredible. I loved how Kiera grew and changed over the course of the book to become the strong woman that she always had the potential to become once she overcame her past trauma. Every reader will fall in love with Ethan and wish they had a significant other just like him. Ethan reminds us of how important it is to have that one person in our life who is always beside us and never gives up on us even when we give up on our self. C.K. Green kept us guessing up until the end on one issue and she did so with complete ease. Rather than ruining it with little hints that had us guessing the answer before the end, she gave away nothing until it was dropped in your lap. Overall, I just want more! I hope that Anna's story is told soon so I don't have to live in limbo forever with that ending.

This was a really slow start for me! It didn't pick up until about 3/4 the way through! I think that it was written this way to give some back ground and to see everything happen as it needed to! It's a great story, the characters are amazing!
Kiera has been though some really traumatic events and her one hero is Ethan! But when Kiera moves away to try to have a fresh start and leave her past behind her Ethan finds her! Not that he was really looking but he has always tried to find her!
Ethan has always wanted Kiera, but with him trying to stay focused on what he wants after high school he figures that he will try for her after he's done! That why he can show her that he's worth the chance! But when things happen to Kiera everything changes for them both! Except his feelings have never changed, if anything they grew stronger!
When he finds her, he also finds out the danger that has also found her and he's going to do everything he can to protect her! Or can he!

Let me just start off by saying WOW! This book grabbed me from the very first page and I can only say that about a handful of the countless books I've read. I really appreciated how detail oriented Mrs. Green is with her writing. She puts so much thought / passion into every scene and her characters are beyond captivating. I loved that this wasn't your typical "love story" this story had such depth and darkness that it sucks you in and makes you really FEEL. The dynamic between Ethan and Kiera stirred so many feelings within me from frustrations, devastation, devotion, and Love. I can truly say I fell in love with these characters and their story really made me take a step back and think. I must say I am now a hardcore C.K. Green fan and eagerly await the sequel to this amazing series!

I had the honor to read an ARC of Damaged.

This story captured me from the very first paragraph. C.K. Did such a wonderful job capturing my attention so quickly, With each chapter I read I found myself wanting more and more! C.K. Green made me feel a connection with the main character like I could feel Kiera's emotions right along with her. I loved that this story was filled with mystery, thriller and a little love! I fell in love with Ethan and is devotion to helping Kiera. They had enough sexual tension leading up to some steamy loving between them. As I was reading I found my self desperate to find out what had happened to Kiera. I really was caught up on this story...and was completely surprised with the way the story wraps up. I absolutely can't wait till the next book and look forward to rereading this one a couple times.

I really enjoyed Kiera and Ethan's story. Kiera has endured a lot in her past and has made an art out of running from it and her feelings. She moved away from her hometown and is reluctant to let anyone close to her, until she finds herself face to face with a part of her past. Ethan could never let go of the unanswered questions and was determined to get answers when running into Kiera after 8 long years.

While I felt the relationship between the two was a bit slow moving in the beginning the character development was great. I felt a connection with both of the main characters because of the author's detail and back story.

Overall I really liked this book, the storyline kept me on my toes and I fell in love with Ethan's protectiveness. I will definitely be reading the authors next book.

This book gave me a book hangover. I read it in two days - it just pulled me in. I wasn't sure at first if I was going to like the heroine, Kiera, but as I got to know her that changed and I was totally in her corner to find love and lust and regain a sense of security in her life. I don't want to give any of the twists away (and there are a few - but they work in the storyline and add depth to the story) but she experienced a trauma in her teens. That experience really shaped her adult life and how she reacts when things fall outside of her routine. Someone shows up from her past and shakes up her comfortable routine and challenges her to start living her life rather than just existing.

This book was difficult for me to get into and stay into at first. The main character development was a little rough around the edges and may have delved too deeply into internal dialogue. HOWEVER, I stuck with this book and holy cow at about 3/4 away into the story things really started to pick up plot wise. The character development smoothed out and the Author was able to make me have more of a connection with the story. It ended on a quite a high note and actually made me want to see where the Author can take me next with it. I look forward to the next book in the series and am confident that Green will be one of those authors that will only get better with time and have books that deliver a punch.

I, unlike several other reviewers, thought the story took off right from the beginning. I was hooked after the prologue. I read this in one sitting because I couldnt wait to figure out what had happened.

I didnt find the writing to be over descriptive at all. I thought it was an easy read. There were spelling and grammatical errors that I noticed, but not troublesome enough to stop me from following the story along.

Overall,I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new mystery/love story. I cant wait for book #2!!

Awesome story, full of twists. I loved seeing Kiera grow and overcome the challenges in the story. She starts off really quiet and almost weak, hiding from her past and by the end of the story she is confident in what&who she wants. Ethan grew up with her and by pure luck wound up running into her after they both move thousands of miles from home. He's all over her before he even knows who she is. When the dots connect you see the most adorable sweet and protective side of him. The cliffhanger at the end is going to make me go crazy until book 2 comes out.

A very well written story. I wasn't sure what to expect as it is author C.K Green's first book. I was hooked by chapter 2 and needed to know the connections, what happened, why it happened, and so much more. The love story is that of most stories these days an alpha male character although not extremely alpha making him tolerable for myself. She finally goes on the date and although there are enough twists to keep you on your toes you know they will end up together. The characters are written you can relate to them or want to shake them when they drive you crazy.

CK Greens debut novel was an overwhelming hit! A mysterious attack, a damaged girl, the unrelenting hero: all adds up to a page-turner that will keep you guessing. Just enough love story to warm you up, but it didn't overtake the main story. In depth characters with real personalities and intertwined relationships are what you will find in this book. I am anxiously awaiting the next installment of the Damaged Series!

This book was so many things. It was hot, contained several twists, and left me with a cliffhanger at the end!!!! I really liked the ability of combining both the past and future and being able to flow the two together. The first initial meeting between Ethan and Kiera after tragic events sets the tone for lust filled and tantalizing intimacy between the two of them. Great story line and I can't wait to read the next one!

I was given this book for a fair and honest review...
I really enjoyed this book...it seemed to have the right blend of everything... a good background story... Kiera and Ethan are great main characters ... they are not perfect and that's why I liked them. I feel for Kiera as she struggles with her demons and loved Ethan for being patient with her. C.K. Green did a wonderful job with the support characters and now i do look forward to Annas' story!

Wow. Just wow at this ending. I really liked the storyline of this book. It felt different from other novels I have read and that was a huge bonus. Ethan was such a book worthy boyfriend too! I loved how patient he was and he wasn't overly alpha either. I'm really looking forward to book 2 with the way the end of this one left me hanging.

I totally loved this book. It had me hooked from the first chapter.It was a great read. I found myself really identifying with Kiera and how her past had shaped her current life. I love how Ethan is like her wake up call to start living again. I really enjoyed this book. Plenty of twists and some steamy parts too!

I read the book in about three hours. I became hooked and I wasn't able to put it down. I wasn't expecting the twists and turns. It definitely surprised me. I wasn't a big fan of Kiera's at the beginning. I thought for sure I wouldn't care for her through out the book, but I was wrong. I felt myself feeling sorry, happy and sad for her all at the same time. I definitely recommend this book.

This book took me a while to get in to. I tend to like stories with a lot of action and dialog and the first half of this book has a lot of descriptions and inner monologues. I'm glad I stuck with it though, because it ended up being a really good story. I loved Ethan from the very beginning. Kiera grew on me as the story progressed, but I never really loved her.

I really loved this book! I wish it moved a little bit faster but other than that I really liked and felt for the characters. The story kept me very interested the whole time and I can't wait for the next book!
