The Dark Sorcerer intends to use me as bait to lure my friends out of hiding. So that he can defeat us all. Yeah, that plan’s not going to work. I’m finished allowing him to wield power he doesn’t respect and he hasn’t earned.
Besides, a great magic brews inside me… enough to finally win this fight and prevent his plans to deliver chaos and bloodshed to the world.
The Sorcerer is about to rue the day he decided to mess with me. His reign of terror ends now.
Lucía Ashta is the internationally top 20 bestselling author of young adult, new adult, and adult paranormal and urban fantasy books, including the series Magical Creatures Academy, Witches of Gales Haven, Smoky Mountain Pack, and Supernatural Bounty Hunter.
When Lucía isn't writing, she's reading, painting, or adventuring. Magical fantasy is her favorite, but the action, romance, and quirky characters are what keep her hooked on books.
In Lucia Ashta’s Powers Unleashed, the thirteenth and final book of her astoundingly great Magical Arts Academy, it is finally time to end the Dark Sorcerer’s reign of terror. USA and Nando are ready. The Dark Sorcerer really will not be. We readers, we will be delighted as this final confrontation (and what follows) is as superb an ending as the series deserves. I write that with a bit of sadness, however, as I’m going to miss this series. It’s been just too much fun (even though I understand there will be a successor series set in the future of this one). As for this book? The trademarks of this talented author are all there. Superb writing, great plot and perfectly crafted characters and world-building. Really everything one could want. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend.
ONE INTENSE READ!!! OMG! Man, talk about one wild rollercoaster ride. A whirlwind of emotions and events that feed from the excitement and nerve racking tension that brings this bad boy roaring to life brilliantly. All twists and turns, ups and downs, along with a few glitches and bumps here and there pull you deeper into this raging storyline and hard hitting plot. Throw in all the drama, intrigue, uncertainty, fear, danger and suspense and you have one intense, page turning bombshell that grabs your attention and holds it from start to finish. The characters are complex and so believable it feels like you can just reach out and touch them. The scenes are so graphic and detailed it really pulls this bad boy together beautifully. You have no trouble picturing every scenario as it plays out perfectly. Lucia definitely nailed this bad boy 100% on point with such realism it really pulls this treasure together flawlessly. Remarkable job Lucia, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.
Wow! The evil sorcerer, Maurisse, portaled Isa, Nando and Sir Lancelot into another dirty dungeon. Isa was determined to get them out. It is here in the story that we learn that with a little bit of faith in yourself there is no telling how much you can accomplish. But this is only the beginning of this last book in this series. I was delighted with how Ms Ashta was able to keep the suspense going and still tie everything up in a nice neat little bow. There was still much to learn at the Magical Arts Academy but for now almost everyone has had their HEA. And I was left with a smile on my face and doing the happy dance.
I voluntarily review an ARC. This is the 13th and final part of the Magical Arts Academy series, the books should be read in order. Imprisoned by the evil sorcerer Maurisse, Isa has to find a way to defend herself, Nando and Sir Lancelot. Otherwise they might become bait for a trap and all might be lost. So Isa finally starts to believe in her powers. Like the previous parts this one is fast paced, has a lot of action, drama and sweet moments. The different sorcerers grow together and become a unit like a big family. A glorious ending to a great series. Absolutely recommended.
I cannot believe how wonderful this series was, I enjoyed every minute of it. I really hate that it is over but I hope that this isn't the last that we hear from these characters. I don't want it to be over for them. I want to know what happens in their futures. Do they continue to work with the Magical Arts Academy ? This is definitely a 5 plus Star Series and I don't want it to be the last that I hear from them and these are not the last books that I will read from this wonderful, Magical Author...
What an ending to an action packed series. This book Isa finds her powers & grows up. She becomes confident & isn't as scared as she has been. Nando finally does some magic. Proving he belongs with Isa at the school. Isa does magic in a dungeon where spells can't be done. Proving how different her magic is & how powerful. SPOILER ALERT: She discovers a boy she loves, so does Gertrude & Nando discovers a girl he loves. The female hellhound has her pups. Walt lives & keeps his leg.
Having realised that the only thing holding her back was herself, Isa deals with Maurisse as he should have been dealt with. Then the rescuers arrive..... Back at the Academy Isa, Clara and Gertrude wait patiently for the others to arrive; some via portal, some aboard Humbert the dragon and other via horseback.
Simple and sweet ending. I was caught a bit off guard by the abruptness of the climax. I didn’t expect it to happen so soon in the book, but it was still enjoyable. The ending was good and simple and happy. I kinda wished we had more background on some of the characters, but all in all, I’m glad I got into those series.
finally done…both read and listened to audio books.
I don’t have words to tell you how great i found this series. I read 13 books or novellas in about four days. I loved all the characters and hope the story continues at a later time. I’m ready for thr new generation to begin their reign!..five stars aren’t enough
Interesting series. The heroine considers herself to be ordinary when she is not. She battles and faces obstacles to discover she is extraordinary and has a unique gift. Must read in order to follow adventures.
While I actually enjoyed this book, the entire 13 books were really only chapters in one book. It was entirely too expensive for a set of short stories or the equivalent of one book.
These books where short and fast to read. I started them and couldn't put them down. I didn't get my reviews in because I didn't want to stop. So much goodness on these books. You are going to like every one of these characters.
This book is 9 - 13 of a 13 book series. I'm going to post this review to all 4 since it covers them all.
Well written books and a fun story ruined by being broken up into little pieces. Authors really need to stop wasting their time and our money trying to get us buy books that are not whole.
Loved this whole series from book one. It captured my interest and had me wonder what powers isa and nando would reveal. Just wished there were more stories to follow!
