Angel has known Brad Donovan for so long she can’t remember the first time they met. She does remember the first time he saved her, though—on the second grade playground from the class bully.
It took years for her childhood friend to become the man she loved. She still loves him, more than her own life. But that life has been ripped apart, and she’s not sure if she can ever find her way back to him.
When every shadow sends her running and every night is filled with nightmares, there’s only one truth Angel can hold on to. That Brad’s love for her is unshakable.

Another win with the third installment in the Secrets series! Brad and Angel gives you a heartfelt love story that I couldn't put down! Brad and Angel have loved each other since their teenage years but Brad was waiting on Angel to be ready for more...She's finally ready...then the heartbreaking attack occurs. It takes Angel and Brad's unshakable love for each other to pull Angel out of her downward spiral! It was heartfelt and sexy and fantastic!! I am wishing for MORE books from this series!!
Overall Rating: 4 Rockin’ ★★★★ There are defining moments in everyone’s life. Brad’s moment was when he looked at his best friend Angel and realized that she was the one for him! They had been friends since fifth grade and no one understood Brad like Angel did! Angel’s moment was not, she just knew that he belonged to her.
Unrequited love was hard to deal with but Brad knew that Angel needed to go to college and experience life. He would wait until they both finished college and then Angel would be his! Finally school is behind them and they are sharing an apartment as BFFs. It is time for them to take the next step in their relationship. Everything is moving forward between them, they have their first kiss and a promise for more is made. Then his Angel is attacked and she is slipping away from him. Will he be able to break through and pull her back to him before it’s too late?
Life had not always been easy for Angel, but she has worked hard to accomplish her goals. She earned a full scholarship to FSU, has her best friend Brad by her side encouraging her and life is wonderful. Brad is always there keeping her on track, working to finish college and start life. The day she received her dream joy interview was also the day Brad kissed her for the first time! What she was not expecting was her world being torn apart by a brutal attack. Now, Angel is fighting to get past the horror and live again. Brad is her anchor and the reason she can keep going.
Will the two be able to withstand the obstacles that are put in their way? Can Brad prove to Angel that she is the only one for him regardless of anything they have experienced? Read this novel and find out about Angel and Brad’s journey to find their HEA!
Would I recommend this book: Yes! True love and the journey that two people take to find it, is the focus of this beautiful story! Through all of life’s turmoil, it will survive and become stronger!
Would I recommend this author: Yes! Wonderfully written novella by a very talented author! I cannot wait to read more for this author.

I found this to be an emotional short read. The characters Angel and Brad won me over instantly with their friendship and devotion to each other. I loved how the author showed us the light bulb moment when each of them realized their feelings for each other went past best friends and into what could be their soul mates. As I was celebrating that they would find each other now with honesty and courage to risk the friendship to see what was there, Angel’s life came to a crashing halt. What is she to do when she had her dreams in the palm of her hand, an interview that she could only wish for and was willing to make the move towards Brad and evil strikes? Her heart and mind battered and bruised she no longer trusted what she saw or the people in her life. Brad is going to have to be patient with her and help her heal but there is going to come a time when it will be fight or flight. He has taken care of her since a bully went after her in fifth grade. He has been there for her through her teenage years when she had no one. Will this time be different; is it the final straw for him in rescuing Angel? Will he fight to get his Angel back or will he move on and forever wonder if they would have made it before evil destroyed what they had. As I stated this was a short book, quick read but I was impressed with the amount of action and emotion the author put in this book. The character development was wonderful considering she had limited time and words to do it. I look forward to her next book and I feel she is going to take us even deeper into the emotional pool. I always admire authors who can take sensitive subjects and give us a story with realism and care, respecting those who have been through the event and educating those who haven’t. This author did a great job in this book at doing just that. I would recommend this for an evening or weekend read if you are looking for something that will tug at your heart and remind you what love and devotion really is.

This was a really enjoyable read for me. Just a Little More deals with the struggles that Angel and Brad face in the aftermath of Angel’s assault. That the assault occurred almost immediately after Angel and Brad admitted their feelings for one another and made plans to take the next step in their relationship is what makes this book so heart wrenching.
Because this is a novella, Ms. Sheridan makes the necessary jumps in time that keep the story moving forward and does so effectively that, as a reader, I never felt as though I was missing anything – I didn’t need to read the details of Angel’s attack, her time in the hospital, or the six weeks of ever-increasing depression she experienced to understand her and Brad’s actions and sympathize with their plight. This allowed her to focus the story on Angel and Brad’s relationship and this led to one seriously sexy scene when Angel finally accepted that she was ready to move forward from the attack. Again, shower sex scenes are awesome!!! I needed a cold shower myself by the time Brad got through.
Just a Little More is an engaging read. Despite the fact that its premise is based on a brutal attack, it is a story of survival and love. I could not help but root for Brad as he stood strong and did all that he could to help Angel deal with her assault and loved her no matter what. While this is the third novella in Ms. Sheridan’s Secrets to Hide series, it can be read as a stand-alone; I did, but I would like to go back and read books one and two as I am interested in Alex and Damien’s stories. I’m also looking forward to the next book in the series as it looks like Ryan is up next.

I found this book very well written. The overall plot was interesting. Ms. Sheridan takes a horrible topic writes a wonderful story. This book kept me on my toes all the way through even though I hoped for a happy ending the author kept me guessing. The main characters and the secondary characters were interesting and mesmerizing. Overall, this was a marvelous story. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
Angel is on the top of the world. She has a brand new master’s degree, and an apartment with her best friend. She is ready to take her relationship with him to a new level, but on the very night, her life take a turn for the best it all comes crashing down. A man attempts to rape her and leaves her shaken and in cycle of fear a depression. She has no clue how to climb out of the downward spiral she is in.
Brad works as a bartender and when his life looks up it comes crashing down. However, Brad is willing to step up the plate when some would walk away. He takes care of Angel through her ups and downs, making sure she is safe. Brad is wonderful combination of sweet, and sexy.
The connection between Brad and Angel is intense. They make a great couple. Brad and Angel go through some very tough times that in the end, will bring them closer together than most couples. I loved that sex while it plays a part in the story was not the main force of the book.
Just a Little More is the third book in the Secrets to Hide series by Ella Sheridan. This book is part of a series by can be read and enjoyed as a standalone novel with ease.
I read this book because : - it was in my library for a while - I got it because I wanted to read book 2 which was done early this year - move along with my library
So did I like it? I can't tell but I'm not disappointed or didn't like none of those. I was for me a book not bad at all.
I just couldn't really see the secret all along, maybe yes from a point but it was to obvious, he didn't really try to hide, from Angel point of view, I couldn't know how she felt until she came into the story. Maybe I was waiting for more exciting plot.
Sure there was a dangerous side story which was great but it wasn't the big part of it.
Anyway, it was a very fast reading book with less than 10 chapters, each chapter a moment, a scene with a great happy ending with all the previous characters.
Short and sweet novella that I enjoyed very much. The relationship between Angel and Brad was well established and the drama of the plot well executed. I particularly enjoyed the fact that the conflict in the plot wasn't due to the hero and heroines stupidity as is so often the case, but rather to external influences. I also appreciated reading about a hero and a heroine who never onece behave an a 'too stupid to live' fashion. I haven't read the previous stories in the series but didn't find this a problem at all. Highly recommended.
Ella continues with another wonderful addition to her Secrets to Hide series.
The love between two best friends can endure anything in this wonderful and heart wrenching story of tragedy, pain and in the end triumph. A night that started with hopes of the beginnings of a new chapter in the lives of two best friends takes a terrifying turn when Angel is assaulted and sinks into a deep depression. Brad never gives up hope and in the end love wins over evil.
